Every one of the ten gooseneck kettle listings on this page sells the thin pouring spout. What they say about everything else varies far more. So we counted. For each listing we checked nine things: capacity, wattage, variable temperature control, keep-warm, a measured spout, the steel that touches the water, automatic shut-off with boil-dry protection, app control and warranty. A tick means the listing states it, not that we tested it.
The spread runs from eight ticks to two. The Narcissus P901 states eight of the nine, including 1°F steps from 100 to 212°F, an 8mm spout and 304 stainless steel inside; only an app is missing. The Bodum Bistro fully answers two. Popularity runs almost the other way: the Narcissus ranks seventh of ten, and the best-ranked kettle, the Cosori, states neither automatic shut-off nor boil-dry protection.
This guide sorts the ten by how many of the nine checks each listing answers, then reads each one for water temperature, spout, steel and safety. Star ratings and review counts were not captured for this roundup; popularity below is Amazon’s Best Sellers Rank only, as of 5 October 2026.

Best Sellers Ranks and specifications are taken from each manufacturer’s Amazon listing as displayed on 5 October 2026 through a United States connection, and may change. The count is ours. The nine checks are capacity, wattage, variable temperature control, keep-warm, a measured spout (diameter stated), 304 steel stated for water-contact parts, automatic shut-off together with boil-dry protection, app or smart control, and a warranty. A check is counted only when the listing states it in full: the Bodum Bistro names automatic shut-off but not boil-dry protection, so that check is not counted for it, and the Chefman, OLEGA and Bistro say “stainless steel” without a grade. The Narcissus warranty is counted from its stated 12 months of free replacement or refund and 24 months of after-sales service. Ranks are overall Best Sellers Ranks as returned on 5 October 2026. Three kettles were sold by Amazon.com at capture: Cosori, Bodum Bistro and Chefman. The other seven were sold by their brands or brand-named sellers. Star ratings and review counts were not captured for any product here.

How We Chose These Ten
We researched current listings, compared manufacturer specifications and documentation, and read every bullet and spec field for what each kettle states about capacity, power, temperature, spout, materials and safety. We did not carry out hands-on testing, and nothing below is presented as measured performance data. Star ratings and review counts were not captured for this roundup. We used Amazon Best Sellers Rank, buy-box stock and listing specifications instead, and nothing on this page describes or implies how owners have scored these kettles.
- Electric gooseneck kettles only — every product here is a corded-base, cordless-pour electric kettle with a gooseneck spout. Stovetop goosenecks and standard-spout electric kettles were not in the running; our electric kettle guide covers the wider category.
- Nine checks, counted from the listing text — capacity, wattage, variable temperature, keep-warm, a measured spout, the steel grade for water-contact parts, automatic shut-off with boil-dry protection, smart control and a warranty. A check counts when the listing states it, not when the kettle might plausibly have it.
- Temperature claims kept separate — how you set the temperature (presets, an app or 1° steps) and how accurately the kettle claims to hold it are different promises. We record both, and we record silence as silence.
- Conflicts reported, implausible fields left out — where a title says 0.8 litres and a size field says 0.8 quarts, we print both. Where a dimension cannot describe a kettle, such as a stated height under half an inch, we leave it out.
- Model numbers compared — we lined up every model and part number to catch the same kettle sold under two names. All ten model numbers on this page are distinct.
- Our arithmetic is labelled — unit conversions and heating-time estimates are ours and are marked as such. They are rough guides, not measurements.
- Popularity from Best Sellers Rank only — ranks are quoted exactly as returned on 5 October 2026, overall and in Electric Kettles. Ranks move constantly; read the order, not the precise figures.
- Verified stock and seller — each product was the buy-box offer and in stock on amazon.com on 5 October 2026.

The Ten Gooseneck Kettles in Detail
1. Narcissus P901 Gooseneck Electric Kettle with ±1°F Temperature Control, 0.9L — Best Overall

Why We Recommend It
This is the listing that answers the most questions before you buy. Of the nine checks we counted, the Narcissus states eight: capacity, wattage, variable temperature, keep-warm, a measured spout, the steel inside, both shut-off and boil-dry protection, and an after-sales promise. The only empty box is smart control, and only the Govee fills that one. If you do not want an app, the P901 answers every check that applies to you.
The temperature promise is the most complete on the page. The first bullet says: “Press the ‘+’ and ‘-’ buttons to freely adjust the temperature in 1℉ increments, from 100℉ to 212℉. A long press can speed up the adjustment.” The title adds “±1°F Precision”. That is two different claims: how finely you can set the target, and how closely the kettle says it will land. The YDDZZM also offers 1° steps but gives no accuracy figure; the INTASTING claims ±1°F but does not say how you set the number. The Narcissus is the only one of ten that states both. The bullet also explains the method: the sensor lets the kettle “adjust the heating power as the water temp approaches the desired temp”, which is how a kettle avoids overshooting a target below boiling.
The hold is long, with a stated limit. “This electric kettle temperature control can automatically keep water warm for 10 minutes after boiling. You can also set the water heater kettle to keep warm for 6 hours by pressing the HOLD button (only works below 205℉).” Six hours is the second-longest hold here, behind the YDDZZM’s 24. The 205°F ceiling is worth knowing if you brew coffee at the hot end of the range: hold works up to just below it, so you would hold at 204°F rather than 205. For green tea at 176°F, the INTASTING’s example temperature, the limit does not matter.
The spout is one of two that are measured. “The precision 8mm fine gooseneck spout design offers a smooth and steady pour-over flow rate.” The INTASTING states 7mm. The other eight describe their spouts in words: “precise”, “long”, “drip-free”, “waterfall flow”. Neither measured spout gives a flow rate, so the diameter is the best number available, and the listing adds that the spout turns at “90°”, which describes its shape rather than its flow.
Power and safety are both in writing. “This electric kettle features a 1200-watt rapid boil heating base, which can boil a full pot of water (0.9 Liters) in only 5 minutes. The anti-dry protection and automatic shut-off functions always keep you safe.” By our arithmetic, heating 0.9 litres from about 68°F to boiling takes roughly 300 kilojoules, which a 1200W element supplies in a little over four minutes at perfect efficiency, so five minutes is a believable claim. The interior is “crafted from 100% 304 stainless steel”, and the lid tip and handle are “made of natural wood”.
What to weigh. It is sold by Narcissus Co, not Amazon.com, and ranks #25,590 overall and #42 in Electric Kettles, seventh of ten. The after-sales wording is not a conventional warranty: “12 months of free replacement or refund service for new items and 24 months of after-sales service”. No listed weight is given. None of that undoes the core point: this is the one kettle on the page where you can check every temperature claim, the spout, the power and the safety features against the listing itself.
Pros
- Eight of nine checks stated, the most here
- 1°F steps from 100 to 212°F and ±1°F, both stated
- Hold up to 6 hours; 10-minute auto hold after boiling
- 8mm spout, one of two measured
- 1200W with a stated 5-minute full boil
- Anti-dry protection and automatic shut-off both stated
Cons
- No app or smart control
- Hold works only below 205°F
- After-sales wording, not a standard warranty
- No listed weight
- Sold by the brand, not Amazon.com
- Ranks seventh of ten overall
Best for: A pour-over or tea drinker who wants exact temperature, a long hold and every safety feature in writing.
2. Govee Smart Electric Kettle, WiFi Variable Temperature Gooseneck, H7170 — Best Smart Kettle

The only kettle of ten you can run from a phone, with a full 104–212°F range and a 2-hour keep-warm.
Key Specifications
| Capacity | 0.8 litres (bullet); size field 0.8 quarts |
|---|---|
| Wattage | 1200W |
| Temperature control | App, 104–212°F; 4 presets; accuracy not stated |
| Keep warm | 2 hours |
| Spout | Long gooseneck; diameter not stated |
| Water-contact material | 304 food-grade stainless steel (scope not specified) |
| Shut-off and boil-dry | Both stated; NTC temperature sensor |
| Smart features | WiFi (2.4GHz only) or Bluetooth; voice; scheduled boil |
| Warranty | Not stated |
| Model | H7170 (part number H7170111) |
| Best Sellers Rank | #17,730 overall; #32 in Electric Kettles |
| Best For | Anyone who wants hot water ready on a schedule |
Why We Recommend It
This is the only smart kettle on the page. “Govee electric kettle supports Bluetooth or WiFi connection, which is more stable and faster than kettles that can only be connected through Bluetooth, as the control range is not limited by distance. You can Schedule a time to boil your water.” None of the other nine mentions an app, a radio of any kind or a timer. If the reason you want a gooseneck kettle is to wake up to water at brewing temperature, the Govee is the only one here that says it can do it.
The temperature range is full, the steps are not stated. The app “lets you set your precise desired temperature from 104 °F to 212 °F”, and the base has “4 Easy Presets”. The listing does not say what the presets are, does not say whether the app moves in 1° steps, and does not give an accuracy figure. It does name the sensor, “an NTC temperature sensor”, a thermistor, which is a standard way of measuring water temperature in a kettle base. On the counted checks, it gets temperature control; on the finer points, it says less than the Narcissus.
The keep-warm is a firm two hours. “The Keep-Warm function automatically maintains water temperature for a full 2 hours.” That is longer than the Cosori and INTASTING at one hour, shorter than the Narcissus at six and the YDDZZM at 24. The ready tone “beeps three times when the water reaches the preset temp, which you can turn off on the app”; on the Cosori, turning off the same kind of tone takes an eight-second button press.
Power and safety are covered. “1200w quickly heats 0.8L water in only 3-5 minutes.” It shares the top stated wattage with the Narcissus. The safety bullet states both checks we count: the sensor “automatically shuts off when the water reaches the desired temperature”, and the kettle “with Boil Dry Protection will automatically shut off when the water dries out”. It is “Made of 304 food-grade stainless steel”, though unlike the INTASTING and YDDZZM it does not say that covers every surface the water touches.
The fine print narrows who it suits. “Only supports 120V 60HZ voltage, connecting with 2.4GHz WiFi (No 5G support) or Bluetooth.” Many home routers broadcast both bands, so this is usually solvable, but a 5GHz-only network will not work. No warranty is stated, which is the second box it leaves empty. The listed weight, about 4.14 pounds, is the heaviest on the page, which may be a shipping figure. It is sold by Govee US and ranks #17,730 overall and #32 in Electric Kettles.
Pros
- Only app control here, over WiFi or Bluetooth
- Scheduled boil stated
- Full 104–212°F range
- 2-hour keep-warm
- 1200W, the joint-highest stated
- Shut-off at target and boil-dry protection both stated
Cons
- No warranty stated
- Steps and accuracy not stated
- 2.4GHz WiFi only; 120V 60Hz only
- Spout not measured
- Presets not named
- 304 steel stated without saying which parts
Best for: A buyer who wants water at temperature on a schedule or from another room, and accepts no stated warranty.
3. INTASTING Gooseneck Electric Kettle with ±1°F Temperature Control, 0.9L, USCIN1032 — Measured Spout

A ±1°F claim, a 7mm spout and a 2-year warranty, with wattage and shut-off left unsaid.
Key Specifications
| Capacity | 0.9 litres; size field 1 quart |
|---|---|
| Wattage | Not stated |
| Temperature control | ±1°F stated; range and steps not stated |
| Keep warm | Up to 1 hour |
| Spout | 7mm, fine and tapered |
| Water-contact material | 304 stainless steel for all water-contact surfaces; BPA-free |
| Shut-off and boil-dry | Neither stated |
| Smart features | None |
| Warranty | 2 Year Manufacturer |
| Model | USCIN1032 |
| Best Sellers Rank | #10,979 overall; #20 in Electric Kettles |
| Best For | Slow, controlled pours where the spout matters most |
Why We Recommend It
The accuracy claim is in the title. “±1℉ Precise Temperature Control – The intelligent base of this gooseneck electric kettle auto-adjusts heating power to reach your selected temperature. From pour-over coffee at 205°F to green tea at 176°F, enjoy barista-quality flavor with every brew.” Only three listings state an accuracy, and the INTASTING shares the tightest figure with the Narcissus. What it leaves out is how you set the target: it gives no range and no step size, only two example temperatures. A kettle that holds ±1°F but sets in 5° steps would be a different tool from one that sets in single degrees, and the listing does not say which this is.
The spout is the narrowest stated on the page. “7mm Gooseneck Spout – The fine, tapered spout delivers a steady, precise flow for better control over water speed and direction.” The Narcissus states 8mm; nobody else gives a number. A narrower opening generally makes a thinner stream at a given tilt, which is the whole point of a gooseneck for pour-over. One millimetre is a small difference on paper, and neither listing gives a flow rate, but the INTASTING is the one to choose if spout control is your first priority and you want a figure to compare.
The water touches steel, and the listing says so plainly. “Made with food-grade 304 stainless steel for all water-contact surfaces, the BPA-free construction is durable, rust-resistant, and easy to clean.” That is the clearest materials statement on the page, matched only by the YDDZZM’s “Every surface that your water contacts”. Our electric kettle guide is built around exactly this question, and “all water-contact surfaces” is the phrase to look for.
Two important checks are missing. The listing gives no wattage, only “Heats water to your desired temperature in a few minutes”. And it says nothing about automatic shut-off or boil-dry protection. A temperature-controlled kettle must stop heating at its target to work at all, so some form of cut-off is very likely, but the listing does not commit to it, and boil-dry protection is a separate safeguard for a kettle switched on empty. Of the six temperature-control kettles, the INTASTING and the Cosori are the two that mention neither.
What to weigh. It carries a “2 Year Manufacturer” warranty, the joint-longest stated with the Bodum Bistro. It holds “up to 1 hour”. It is sold by Intasting Direct and ranks #10,979 overall and #20 in Electric Kettles, third on the page. The listed weight is 1.5 pounds, the lightest here, which may or may not include the base. Ask the seller for the wattage and confirm boil-dry protection before you rely on it unattended.
Pros
- ±1°F accuracy stated
- 7mm spout, the narrowest measured here
- 304 steel for all water-contact surfaces, stated
- 2-year manufacturer warranty
- Keep-warm up to 1 hour
- Third-best rank on the page
Cons
- Wattage not stated
- Automatic shut-off not stated
- Boil-dry protection not stated
- Temperature range and step size not stated
- Shortest hold of the temperature-control group, tied
- Sold by the brand, not Amazon.com
Best for: A pour-over brewer who wants the narrowest measured spout and a written accuracy figure, and will check the safety details with the seller.
4. YDDZZM Gooseneck Electric Kettle, Intelligent Temperature Control, 1000W 0.9L, CA-6388 — Longest Hold

1°F steps, a live LCD reading and a 24-hour keep-warm, with no accuracy figure and no warranty.
Key Specifications
| Capacity | 0.9 litres; size field 1 quart |
|---|---|
| Wattage | 1000W |
| Temperature control | 1°F steps, 104–212°F (40–100°C); accuracy not stated |
| Keep warm | Up to 24 hours |
| Spout | Gooseneck; diameter not stated |
| Water-contact material | Every water-contact surface 304 stainless steel; BPA-free |
| Shut-off and boil-dry | Both stated; insulated handle |
| Smart features | None; LCD shows real-time and set temperature |
| Warranty | Not stated |
| Model | CA-6388 |
| Best Sellers Rank | #38,473 overall; #65 in Electric Kettles |
| Best For | Hot water on tap all day at a chosen temperature |
Why We Recommend It
It sets in single degrees and shows you the water as it heats. “This gooseneck electric kettle can set and lock precisely at step of 1°F temperature ranging from 40-100°C (104°F to 212°F). The LCD display to show the realtime temperature and set temperature, and other information like hold time, heating status.” Only it and the Narcissus state 1° steps. The real-time reading is the most useful detail: you can watch the water come up, or cool back down after a boil, without guessing.
What it does not give is an accuracy figure. “Set and lock precisely” describes the setting, not the result. The Narcissus and INTASTING state ±1°F, and the Cosori states within 5°F; the YDDZZM gives no number. The live display partly makes up for it, since you can see what the sensor reads, but the listing does not say how closely that reading tracks the water. That is why it counts temperature control as stated and still sits below the Narcissus in our detail.
The hold is the longest by a distance. “Keep your water hot for 24 hours with the auto keep-warm feature—perfect for busy mornings.” The next-longest is the Narcissus at six hours. A day-long hold suits an office or a tea drinker who refills a cup through the afternoon. It also means a base drawing power for a long time, so if you do not need it, it is worth switching the kettle off when you are done. The listing adds a useful caution: “The water will keep boiling for few seconds after turn off the power, its normal.”
Safety and materials are stated clearly. “Our Gooseneck kettle is equipped with an anti-dry function, automatic shut-off mechanism, and an insulated handle. The kettle will automatically shut off when the pot reaches desired temperature or when there is no water inside.” And “Every surface that your water contacts is made of food-grade 304 stainless steel. 100% BPA-free.” The listing is also candid about trim: “The wooden like part is made of plastic, not real wood.” That is a handle and lid finish, not a water-contact surface, and the honesty is worth noting next to listings that leave such things unsaid.
What to weigh. It runs at 1000W, below the Govee and Narcissus at 1200, and claims a boil “in just 3-5 minutes”. The spout is described only as a gooseneck. No warranty is stated. It is sold by ZeeLooTech and ranks #38,473 overall and #65 in Electric Kettles, ninth of ten. On the listing, it is the cheapest route here to 1° steps and a live reading, at the cost of a stated accuracy and any warranty.
Pros
- 1°F steps, 104–212°F
- Live LCD temperature reading
- 24-hour keep-warm, the longest here
- Every water-contact surface 304 steel, stated
- Anti-dry, auto shut-off and insulated handle stated
- Candid that the wood-look trim is plastic
Cons
- No accuracy figure
- No warranty stated
- Spout not measured
- 1000W, below the 1200W pair
- Ninth of ten by Best Sellers Rank
- Wood-look handle and lid are plastic
Best for: An all-day tea or coffee drinker who wants water held at a chosen temperature for hours and can see it on a display.
5. Cosori Gooseneck Electric Kettle with Temperature Control, 0.8L, CO108-NK — Best Seller

The best-ranked kettle here, with five presets and a 1-hour hold, but no stated wattage, shut-off or boil-dry protection.
Key Specifications
| Capacity | 0.8 litres (title); size field 0.8 quarts |
|---|---|
| Wattage | Not stated |
| Temperature control | 5 presets, temperatures not listed; within 5°F stated |
| Keep warm | Up to 1 hour |
| Spout | “Precise spout”; diameter not stated |
| Water-contact material | Interior, lid and spout 304 stainless steel |
| Shut-off and boil-dry | Neither stated |
| Smart features | None; ready tone beeps 3 times |
| Warranty | 1 year + optional 2-year; lifetime customer service support |
| Model | CO108-NK |
| Best Sellers Rank | #6,054 overall; #13 in Electric Kettles |
| Best For | Buyers who want a known brand sold by Amazon.com |
Why We Recommend It
This is the kettle most shoppers are buying. At #6,054 overall and #13 in Electric Kettles, the Cosori holds the best rank on the page, ahead of the Bodum Bistro and the INTASTING. It is sold by Amazon.com. It also answers five of our nine checks, which puts it in the middle of the page: capacity, temperature control, keep-warm, 304 steel and a warranty are stated; wattage, a measured spout, shut-off with boil-dry protection and smart control are not.
The presets are counted but not named. “Your Gooseneck Electric Kettle features 5 precise temperature presets. These accurate presets make brewing coffee or tea a breeze.” The listing does not say which five temperatures they are. Presets are quicker than a dial when they match what you brew, and limiting when they do not: if your coffee wants 200°F and the nearest preset is somewhere else, you cannot set it. Before you buy, look up the preset list in the manual or ask the seller, because the listing leaves it out. The OLEGA, by contrast, names all six of its presets.
Its accuracy figure is the loosest stated, and it is attached to the hold. “Use the HOLD TEMP function to keep the contents of your kettle warm for up to 1 hour so that you can enjoy your beverage at a later time. The excellent temperature control ensures that the water temperature is within 5°F of the desired temperature.” Within 5°F is five times the ±1°F the Narcissus and INTASTING claim, though it is still a number, which seven listings do not give at all. For most pour-over coffee a few degrees either way is a small effect; for delicate green teas it matters more.
The safety silence is the surprise. The seven bullets cover presets, hold, ergonomics, steel, pouring, a ready tone and gift boxes. None mentions automatic shut-off or boil-dry protection, and none gives a wattage. A temperature-controlled kettle has to stop heating at its target, so the function is very likely there, but this listing does not say so in words, while eight others do. The steel statement is good: “The electric kettle’s durable interior, lid, and spout are made with food-grade 304 stainless steel.”
What to weigh. The warranty is the most layered on the page: “1 year warranty + optional 2-year warranty, lifetime customer service support”. The ready tone “beeps 3 times”, and turning it off means holding HOLD TEMP for eight seconds. The spout and “counter-balanced handle” are described, not measured. The title says 0.8 litres; the size field says 0.8 quarts, about 0.76 litres by our arithmetic, a small gap but a conflict all the same. The listed weight, 3.53 pounds, may be a shipping figure. On the listings, the Narcissus states more for less fuss; the Cosori sells on name and an Amazon.com sale.
Pros
- Best Best Sellers Rank here
- Sold by Amazon.com
- 5 one-touch presets
- Within 5°F stated for the hold
- Interior, lid and spout 304 steel, stated
- 1-year warranty plus optional 2-year
Cons
- Wattage not stated
- Automatic shut-off not stated
- Boil-dry protection not stated
- Preset temperatures not listed
- Loosest stated accuracy
- Title and size field disagree on capacity units
Best for: A buyer who wants the best-selling name, sold by Amazon.com, and is happy with five fixed temperatures.

| Warranty | Not stated |
| Model | ALG-666 |
| Best Sellers Rank | #89,344 overall; #126 in Electric Kettles |
| Best For | Fixed brewing temperatures you can see before you buy |
Why We Recommend It
This is the one preset kettle that prints its presets. “Enjoy six preset temperatures (130°F, 175°F, 185°F, 195°F, 205°F, 212°F) for the perfect cup every time. Whether it’s baby formula, delicate tea, or pour-over coffee, you get precision at your fingertips.” The Cosori has five presets and the Govee four, and neither listing names a single one. With the OLEGA you can check before you buy whether your coffee and tea temperatures are on the list. For pour-over, 195 and 205°F bracket the range commonly cited for coffee; 175°F is close to the INTASTING’s green tea example; 130°F is aimed at formula and milk.
What presets cannot do is fill the gaps. There is nothing between 130 and 175°F, and the steps above that are 10°F at a time. If your coffee wants 200°F, you choose 195 or 205. The listing gives no accuracy figure either, so it counts for temperature control in our tally but stops short of the Narcissus or YDDZZM, which set to the degree. For most drinkers, six named temperatures cover the job; for someone who tunes a brew by a couple of degrees, they do not.
The hold is two hours, with a memory. “Maintains your chosen temperature for up to 2 hours. The smart memory resumes your last setting if the kettle is returned to the base within 10 minutes.” Two hours matches the Govee and beats the one-hour holds on the Cosori and INTASTING. The memory is a small, practical detail: lift the kettle to pour, put it back, and it carries on where it was. It is not an app; the Govee remains the only kettle here with any connection.
Safety is stated in full, the steel grade is not. “Built with food-grade stainless steel, auto shut-off, and boil-dry protection, giving you lasting quality and peace of mind for everyday use.” That puts it among the seven listings that state both safety features, which the better-ranked Cosori and INTASTING do not. The materials wording names no grade and does not say which parts touch the water, where seven other listings name 304 steel. Power is stated: “With 1000W fast heating power and a 0.8L capacity, this kettle boils water in minutes.”
What to weigh. No warranty is stated. The spout is “slender”, with no diameter. It is sold by OLEGA, is one of the two lowest-priced kettles on the page at capture, level with the Chefman, and ranks #89,344 overall and #126 in Electric Kettles, last of the ten. Five of nine checks, the same count as the best-ranked Cosori, and a more useful temperature statement than the Cosori’s. If you want temperature control on a tight budget and can live with fixed steps, it is the obvious alternative to a boil-only kettle.
Pros
- Six presets, all named: 130 to 212°F
- 2-hour keep-warm
- Memory resumes the last setting within 10 minutes
- 1000W stated
- Automatic shut-off and boil-dry protection both stated
- Joint lowest-priced kettle here
Cons
- No setting between presets
- No accuracy figure
- Steel grade not stated
- No warranty stated
- Spout not measured
- Lowest Best Sellers Rank on the page
Best for: A budget buyer who wants a few fixed brewing temperatures, named in advance, plus a hold and both safety features.
7. Chefman Gooseneck Electric Kettle, 0.8L Pour Over, RJ11-GN-BLK-V2 — Best Budget

A plain 1000W boil-only gooseneck that states its shut-off and low-water cut-out, sold by Amazon.com.
Key Specifications

|---|---|
| Wattage | 1000W, 120V |
| Temperature control | None; boils only |
| Keep warm | None stated |
| Spout | Gooseneck; diameter not stated |
| Water-contact material | “Stainless steel”; grade not stated |
| Shut-off and boil-dry | Shuts off at boil and when not enough water is added |
| Smart features | None; blue LED on switch while heating |
| Warranty | 1-year assurance; cETL approved |
| Model | RJ11-GN-BLK-V2 |
| Best Sellers Rank | #12,936 overall; #28 in Electric Kettles |
| Best For | A first gooseneck for pouring, not temperature |
Why We Recommend It
It is a gooseneck kettle and nothing more, and the listing is honest about that. “ONE-TOUCH OPERATION: Save valuable time on your morning routine. Simply press the switch on this water kettle electric and get hot water in minutes.” There is no temperature setting and no hold. The water goes to a boil and the kettle switches off. For the pouring half of pour-over, that is enough; for the temperature half, you let the water rest off the boil before you pour.
Safety is stated in both directions we count. “SAFER BOILING: Chefman electric kettles automatically shutsoff when boiling or when not enough water is added for worry-free tea-making.” That covers automatic shut-off and the low-water cut-out that boil-dry protection describes. Seven listings state both. Of the four boil-only kettles, the Chefman, DmofwHi and YTLAD do; the Bodum Bistro names shut-off alone. It also notes “cETL approved”, the only safety certification mark named on the page.
Power is stated, the steel grade is not. “Our 1000W rapid heating quickly brings your electric tea kettle water to boil for pour over tea or coffee,” and the last bullet repeats “1000W/120V” with the model number. The materials line is the weak spot: the listing calls it a “stainless steel kettle” and gives no grade and no statement about which parts touch the water. Seven listings name 304 steel. If plastic contact matters to you, our electric kettle guide explains what to ask.
The practical details are good. “The lid of this small electric kettle is fully removable to easily fill in the sink, with markings inside that denote how full this stainless steel kettle is.” Fill markings are rare on this page; for pour-over, knowing you have enough for one brew plus a filter rinse saves a second boil. The “blue LED lights on the On/Off switch illuminate whenever the electric water kettle is heating and turn off when the hot water is at a rolling boil”.
What to weigh. It is one of the two lowest-priced kettles on the page at capture, level with the OLEGA, and is sold by Amazon.com. It carries “a 1-year assurance provided by Chefman”. Capacity is “800ml”, which the listing says “serves 2-4 cups”. It ranks #12,936 overall and #28 in Electric Kettles. It answers four of nine checks, and the four it misses are temperature, hold, spout measurement and steel grade: the features a budget kettle drops first.
Pros
- Shut-off at boil and on low water, both stated
- 1000W stated
- cETL approved, the only mark named here
- Removable lid with fill markings inside
- 1-year assurance
- Sold by Amazon.com; joint lowest-priced here
Cons
- No temperature control
- No keep-warm
- Steel grade not stated
- Spout not measured
- 0.8L, the smallest size here, tied
- Water-contact parts not described
Best for: A first gooseneck kettle for controlled pouring, where you let the water rest off the boil instead of setting a temperature.
8. DmofwHi Gooseneck Electric Kettle 1.0L, 100% Stainless Steel, D-GNK902A — Largest Capacity

A 1.0 litre, 1000W boil-only gooseneck with boil-dry protection explained in full, and a body that gets hot.
Key Specifications
| Capacity | 1 litre; size field 1.1 quarts |
|---|---|
| Wattage | 1000W |
| Temperature control | None; boils only |
| Keep warm | None stated |
| Spout | Gooseneck, “waterfall flow”; diameter not stated |
| Water-contact material | 304 stainless steel body, spout and steam lid |
| Shut-off and boil-dry | Both stated; resets when cool |
| Smart features | None |
| Warranty | Not stated |
| Model | D-GNK902A |
| Best Sellers Rank | #11,008 overall; #21 in Electric Kettles |
| Best For | Larger pour-over brews or a pot of tea |
Why We Recommend It
It is the joint-largest kettle on the page. “This 1 L DmofwHi pour over coffee kettle is a good size for most people. Not too small or too big. It gives you ample hot water whether you want a large pour-over brew or a full pot of your favorite tea.” Only the YTLAD matches it at 1 litre. Five kettles here hold 0.8 litres, so the DmofwHi gives you about a quarter more water by our arithmetic, which is the difference between one large brew with a filter rinse and having to stop short.
Its boil-dry explanation is the most detailed on the page. “The electric kettle will stop working when boiling without water, and work again when totally cold down. The boil-dry protection can effectively protect the kettle from getting damage when accidentally pressing the working button.” It also states automatic shut-off: “it will automatically power down when the water reaches the desired temperature”. There is no temperature setting on this kettle, so “desired temperature” here means the boil. It asks you to boil with the lid on.
The body gets hot, and the listing contradicts itself on it. The heating bullet says: “The electric gooseneck kettle is one layer material, so the body will be hot when boiling water. Please do not touch the kettle when it is heating.” The materials bullet promises “perfect insulation”. A single-wall steel kettle does not insulate, and the listing’s own warning says so. Read the warning, not the claim: hold it by the “anti-slip grip” only, and keep it away from small hands.
The steel is named, the power is stated. “The electric kettle is constructed in 304 stainless steel body with gooseneck spout, and steam lid.” The title says “100% Stainless Steel BPA Free”. Power is “1000w”, and the listing says a pour-over’s worth of water “should take around 5 minutes”. By our arithmetic, a full litre from about 68°F to boiling needs roughly 335 kilojoules, about five and a half minutes at 1000W even at perfect efficiency, so five minutes fits a part-filled kettle better than a full one.
What to weigh. No warranty is stated. One dimension field gives a height under half an inch, which cannot describe a kettle, so we leave the dimensions out. It is sold by FeiWei and ranks #11,008 overall and #21 in Electric Kettles, fourth on the page. Four of nine checks: capacity, watts, steel and safety. If you want the largest boil-only gooseneck here with boil-dry protection spelled out, this is it; if you want temperature control, it has none.
Pros
- 1 litre, the joint-largest here
- 1000W stated
- Boil-dry protection explained, with reset
- Automatic shut-off stated
- 304 steel body, spout and steam lid
- Fourth-best rank on the page
Cons
- Single-layer body gets hot, stated
- Claims “perfect insulation” against its own warning
- No temperature control or hold
- No warranty stated
- Spout not measured
- Dimension fields unreliable
Best for: Someone brewing larger pour-overs or a pot of tea who only needs boiling water and a good spout.
9. YTLAD Gooseneck Electric Kettle 1L, 1000W, Pour-Over Coffee and Tea, 10BK10-4 — Retro Pick

A 1 litre, 1000W boil-only kettle with steel in the right places and both safety checks stated.
Key Specifications
| Capacity | 1 litre; size field 1.1 quarts |
|---|---|
| Wattage | 1000W |
| Temperature control | None; boils only |
| Keep warm | None stated |
| Spout | Gooseneck, “drip-free flow”; diameter not stated |
| Water-contact material | 304 stainless steel lid, spout and interior |
| Shut-off and boil-dry | Both stated |
| Smart features | None |
| Warranty | Not stated |
| Model | 10BK10-4 |
| Best Sellers Rank | #27,250 overall; #47 in Electric Kettles |
| Best For | A styled boil-only kettle for one or two people |
Why We Recommend It
It does the basics and states them. Capacity, power, steel and safety are all in writing: “This electric hot water kettle features an ideal 1-liter capacity, perfect for 1-2 people,” “Powered by 1000W stable heating,” and “This cute electric kettle features automatic shut-off and boil-dry protection for complete safety.” That is four of our nine checks, the same count as the Chefman and DmofwHi, and the same four the DmofwHi answers.
The materials line names the right parts. “This YTLAD stainless steel electric kettle is crafted with high-grade 304 stainless steel lid, spout, and interior.” Interior, lid and spout are where the water goes, so this is close to the INTASTING’s “all water-contact surfaces” in substance. It matches the Cosori’s wording almost exactly. It is a stronger statement than the Chefman’s, the OLEGA’s or the Bodum’s, which name no grade.
The spout is described, not measured. “This pour over kettle features a dedicated gooseneck spout for smooth, drip-free flow. As a versatile water heater kettle, it delivers precise control for evenly saturating coffee grounds.” Drip-free is a useful promise on any kettle, since a spout that dribbles down its own neck makes a mess of a scale and a dripper. But there is no diameter, so you cannot compare it with the 7mm INTASTING or the 8mm Narcissus.
Temperature is up to you. It boils and stops. For coffee, the usual approach with a boil-only kettle is to let the water stand off the base for a short while before the first pour; for green tea, longer. The 1-litre size helps here, since a larger volume cools more slowly and gives you more water to work with. Pair it with a coffee scale roundup and you can manage the pour by weight, which is the other half of pour-over control.
What to weigh. The listing leans on looks: “DUAL-COLOR VINTAGE CHARM”, “Available in two elegant colors”; the captured listing is white. No warranty is stated. The manufacturer is given as Guangzhou Chenchen Technology Co., Ltd., and it is sold by YTLAD. It ranks #27,250 overall and #47 in Electric Kettles, eighth on the page. On the listings, it is a sound boil-only gooseneck with nothing missing that a boil-only kettle should state, other than a warranty.
Pros
- 1 litre, the joint-largest here
- 1000W stated
- Automatic shut-off and boil-dry protection stated
- 304 steel lid, spout and interior
- Drip-free spout claimed
- Two colours offered
Cons
- No temperature control
- No keep-warm
- No warranty stated
- Spout not measured
- Eighth of ten by rank
- Sold by the brand, not Amazon.com
Best for: One or two people who want a styled 1-litre gooseneck that boils, stops and states its safety features.
10. Bodum 27oz Bistro Gooseneck Electric Water Kettle, Matte Black, 11883-259US — Best Warranty, Boil Only

A cork-handled boil-only kettle with a 2-year warranty, and the fewest checks stated on the page.
Key Specifications
| Capacity | 0.8 litre / 27oz |
|---|---|
| Wattage | Not stated |
| Temperature control | None; boils only |
| Keep warm | None stated |
| Spout | Gooseneck; diameter not stated |
| Water-contact material | “Stainless steel”; grade not stated |
| Shut-off and boil-dry | Automatic shut-off stated; boil-dry not stated |
| Smart features | None |
| Warranty | 2 Year Limited |
| Model | 11883-259US |
| Best Sellers Rank | #8,611 overall; #16 in Electric Kettles |
| Best For | A known brand with a warranty, for pouring only |
Why We Recommend It
It is the second-best-ranked kettle on the page and answers two of nine checks. At #8,611 overall and #16 in Electric Kettles, sold by Amazon.com, the Bistro is one of the most bought gooseneck kettles here. What the listing commits to is capacity, “0.8 liter / 27oz”, and a warranty, “2 Year Limited”. That warranty is the joint-longest stated on the page, with the INTASTING.
It is the thinnest listing on the page. Two of nine checks is the lowest count here. The six bullets cover the spout, the stainless body, the cork handle and knob, the base with its power switch and automatic shut-off, and cordless pouring, and stop there. No wattage, no temperature control, no hold, no measured spout, no steel grade and no boil-dry protection. Every other boil-only kettle on the page states at least its power and both safety features.
It boils, and shuts off. “Stylish base with easy-to-use power switch and automatic shut-off for peace of mind.” There is no temperature control and no hold. Boil-dry protection is not mentioned, which is why the safety check is not counted: eight listings name shut-off, seven name boil-dry, and the Bistro is in the first group only. No wattage is given.
The materials line is general. “Made of attractive, durable stainless steel.” No grade, and nothing about which parts touch the water. The handle and knob are “made from natural, sustainable cork that protects your hands and is supremely comfortable to use”, which is the most distinctive design detail of the ten. The spout gives “full control over the speed and consistency of the water flow”, in words rather than millimetres.
What to weigh. Bodum is the brand behind a familiar French press, and if you brew both ways, our French press comparison is a useful companion. As a gooseneck kettle, the Bistro sells on brand, cork and a 2-year warranty. It does not tell you its power, its steel grade or whether it guards against boiling dry. If a boil-only kettle suits you, the Chefman states more; if you want the Bodum look and a warranty, this is the listing that states it.
Pros
- 2-year limited warranty, joint-longest here
- Second-best rank on the page
- Sold by Amazon.com
- Cork handle and knob
- Automatic shut-off stated
- Cordless pour
Cons
- No temperature control or hold
- Boil-dry protection not stated
- Wattage not stated
- Steel grade not stated
- Spout not measured
- 0.8L, the smallest size here, tied
Best for: A Bodum buyer who wants a 2-year warranty and a cork handle on a kettle that only boils.
Nine Checks, Ten Listings
The table below is the count behind the comparison above. A tick means the listing states the item in full. A dash means it does not. The count and the grid are our reading of the listings, and they say nothing about how well any kettle performs, only what each seller commits to in writing.
| Kettle | Capacity | Watts | Temp control | Hold | Spout measured | 304 steel | Shut-off + boil-dry | Smart | Warranty | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Narcissus P901 | 0.9L | 1200W | 1° steps, ±1°F | 6 h | 8mm | Yes | Yes | — | 24 mo service | 8 |
| Govee H7170 | 0.8L | 1200W | App range | 2 h | — | Yes | Yes | WiFi, Bluetooth | — | 7 |
| INTASTING | 0.9L | — | ±1°F | 1 h | 7mm | Yes | — | — | 2 yr | 6 |
| YDDZZM | 0.9L | 1000W | 1° steps | 24 h | — | Yes | Yes | — | — | 6 |
| Cosori | 0.8L | — | 5 presets | 1 h | — | Yes | — | — | 1 yr + optional 2 | 5 |
| OLEGA | 0.8L | 1000W | 6 named presets | 2 h | — | — | Yes | — | — | 5 |
| Chefman | 0.8L | 1000W | — | — | — | — | Yes | — | 1 yr | 4 |
| DmofwHi | 1.0L | 1000W | — | — | — | Yes | Yes | — | — | 4 |
| YTLAD | 1.0L | 1000W | — | — | — | Yes | Yes | — | — | 4 |
| Bodum Bistro | 0.8L | — | — | — | — | — | Shut-off only | — | 2 yr | 2 |
Capacity is the only check everyone answers. All ten state it, and the spread is narrow: five at 0.8 litres, three at 0.9 and two at 1.0. Several size fields give quarts instead, 0.8, 1 or 1.1, which round close to the litre figures, except on the Cosori, Chefman, Govee and OLEGA, where a 0.8 litre title sits beside a 0.8 quart field, about 0.76 litres by our arithmetic. A gooseneck is a small kettle by design; if you need more than a litre at a time, a standard spout is the better tool.
Wattage is the most surprising gap. Seven listings state it, five at 1000W and two at 1200W. The three that do not are the Cosori, the Bodum Bistro and the INTASTING, which are the three best-ranked kettles on the page. Power decides how long you wait: by our arithmetic, 0.8 litres from tap temperature to boiling takes about four and a half minutes at 1000W and under four at 1200W at perfect efficiency, and real kettles take a little longer.
Smart control is the check almost nobody needs to answer. Only the Govee has an app. If you do not want one, read every total above as out of eight, and the Narcissus answers all eight.

Presets, Steps and Accuracy Are Three Different Promises
For a gooseneck kettle with temperature control, there are three questions: can you set the exact temperature you want, how finely, and how closely does the kettle claim to hit it. The six temperature-control listings answer them in six different combinations.
| Kettle | How you set it | Range stated | Step size | Accuracy stated |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Narcissus P901 | “+” and “−” buttons | 100–212°F | 1°F | ±1°F |
| YDDZZM | Buttons, LCD | 104–212°F (40–100°C) | 1°F | Not stated |
| INTASTING | Not stated | Not stated; 176°F and 205°F given as examples | Not stated | ±1°F |
| Govee H7170 | App; 4 presets on base | 104–212°F | Not stated | Not stated |
| OLEGA | 6 presets | 130–212°F | Fixed: 130, 175, 185, 195, 205, 212°F | Not stated |
| Cosori | 5 one-touch presets | Presets not listed | Fixed presets | Within 5°F, on hold |
Only one listing answers all three. The Narcissus states a range, a step and an accuracy. The YDDZZM states range and step but not accuracy. The INTASTING states accuracy but neither range nor step. The Govee states range only. The OLEGA names its six presets but gives no accuracy. The Cosori states an accuracy for its hold, and five presets whose temperatures it never lists.
Why the differences matter. Coffee brewing guidance commonly cites water just off the boil, in the high 190s to about 205°F, for pour-over; green teas are usually brewed far cooler, and the INTASTING’s own example is 176°F. A kettle with 1° steps lets you set either and fine-tune by taste. A preset kettle is quick when its presets match your habits and a dead end when they do not. And accuracy decides whether the number on the display is the number in the water: ±1°F and within 5°F are a long way apart for a delicate tea.
The other four kettles only boil. The Chefman, DmofwHi, YTLAD and Bodum Bistro give you water at 212°F, or near it at altitude, and nothing else. That still works for pour-over: let the water sit off the base briefly and it falls toward brewing temperature. It is less exact, and it adds a step. If temperature control is the reason you want a gooseneck, choose from the first six; our pour over coffee maker roundup covers the drippers they pour into.
Hold Times Run From None to a Day
Every kettle with temperature control also holds it, and none of the boil-only kettles does. The six holds run from one hour to 24, and two carry conditions.
| Kettle | Hold stated | Condition or detail |
|---|---|---|
| YDDZZM | Up to 24 hours | “Auto keep-warm feature” |
| Narcissus P901 | Up to 6 hours | 10 minutes automatic after boiling; HOLD only below 205°F |
| Govee H7170 | 2 hours | “Automatically maintains water temperature” |
| OLEGA | Up to 2 hours | Memory resumes the last setting within 10 minutes |
| Cosori | Up to 1 hour | HOLD TEMP button; within 5°F |
| INTASTING | Up to 1 hour | HOLD function |
| Other four | None stated | Boil only |
A long hold is a convenience, not a requirement. One hour covers a slow weekend brew and a second cup. Six hours or 24 suits an office desk or an afternoon of refilled tea. The Narcissus’s 205°F limit is minor for most coffee and irrelevant for tea. A long hold means the base keeps drawing power, so it is worth switching off when you are done, and a kettle left holding water all day is also a reason to check that boil-dry protection is stated, which it is on both the Narcissus and the YDDZZM.
Spouts, Steel and Safety in the Listings’ Own Words
Two spouts are measured, eight are described. The INTASTING states 7mm and the Narcissus 8mm, with a “90°” bend. The rest use words: Cosori’s “precise spout and counter-balanced handle”, Govee’s “long gooseneck spout”, YTLAD’s “drip-free flow”, DmofwHi’s “waterfall flow”, OLEGA’s “slender gooseneck spout”, and the Bodum Bistro’s “full control over the speed and consistency of the water flow”. Nobody gives a flow rate. For pour-over, a slow, steady stream you can stop on demand is what you want; a coffee scale roundup under the dripper tells you whether you are getting it.
Seven name 304 steel; three name no grade. The clearest statements are the INTASTING’s “all water-contact surfaces” and the YDDZZM’s “Every surface that your water contacts”. The Narcissus names its interior, the Cosori and YTLAD their interior, lid and spout, the DmofwHi its body, spout and steam lid, and the Govee states 304 without saying which parts. The Chefman and the Bodum Bistro say only “stainless steel”, and the OLEGA “food-grade stainless steel”. No listing admits plastic in contact with water; the YDDZZM is open that its wood-look handle and lid trim are plastic. Our electric kettle guide goes deeper on this question across standard kettles.
Eight state automatic shut-off; seven add boil-dry protection. The seven that state both are the Govee, Narcissus, YDDZZM, OLEGA, Chefman, DmofwHi and YTLAD. The Bodum Bistro states shut-off only. The Cosori and INTASTING state neither, which is the most important silence on the page, because they are the best-ranked and third-ranked kettles here and both are temperature-control models. A kettle that holds water warm for an hour is a kettle that may run unattended; boil-dry protection is the feature you want in writing for that.
Warranties are stated on five. The Bodum Bistro and INTASTING list two years. The Cosori lists one year plus an optional two-year extension. The Chefman gives a one-year assurance. The Narcissus promises 12 months of free replacement or refund and 24 months of after-sales service. The Govee, OLEGA, DmofwHi, YTLAD and YDDZZM state none.
Best Sellers Rank Rewards Names, Not Spec Sheets
Star ratings were not captured for this roundup, so popularity here is Amazon’s Best Sellers Rank alone, as returned on 5 October 2026. All ten sit in Electric Kettles, so the category ranks are comparable, though ranks move constantly.
| Kettle | Overall rank | Electric Kettles | Checks stated | Seller |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cosori | #6,054 | #13 | 5 | Amazon.com |
| Bodum Bistro | #8,611 | #16 | 2 | Amazon.com |
| INTASTING | #10,979 | #20 | 6 | Intasting Direct |
| DmofwHi | #11,008 | #21 | 4 | FeiWei |
| Chefman | #12,936 | #28 | 4 | Amazon.com |
| Govee H7170 | #17,730 | #32 | 7 | Govee US |
| Narcissus P901 | #25,590 | #42 | 8 | Narcissus Co |
| YTLAD | #27,250 | #47 | 4 | YTLAD |
| YDDZZM | #38,473 | #65 | 6 | ZeeLooTech |
| OLEGA | #89,344 | #126 | 5 | OLEGA |
None of the top three states its wattage. The three best-ranked kettles are the Cosori, the Bodum Bistro and the INTASTING, the first two well-known brands sold by Amazon.com. All three leave out power, and all three leave out boil-dry protection. The Govee and Narcissus, the two most complete listings, rank sixth and seventh, and the OLEGA, the only kettle to name its presets, ranks last. All ten model numbers are distinct, so no rank here is shared between two listings of one kettle. Brand familiarity and the convenience of an Amazon.com sale are real reasons to buy; just know that they are what the rank is measuring.
Best Alternatives
| Alternative | Why Consider It | Better For | Main Trade-Off |
|---|---|---|---|
| A standard electric kettle; see our electric kettle guide | Larger capacity, faster pour | Tea by the pot, cooking water | No fine pouring control |
| A French press; see our French press comparison | Immersion brewing needs no slow pour | Full-bodied coffee for two to four | Any kettle will do, so the gooseneck adds little |
| A stovetop gooseneck kettle | No base, no electronics | Gas or induction hobs, camping stoves | No temperature control; a thermometer helps |
| A pour-over brewer with a built-in flow restrictor; see our pour over coffee maker roundup | Less dependent on pour technique | Beginners who want consistency | Less room to adjust the brew |
What Each Step Up Actually Buys
Boil-only goosenecks — Chefman, DmofwHi, YTLAD, Bodum Bistro. The spout, cordless pouring and a boil. The Chefman, DmofwHi and YTLAD state power, shut-off and boil-dry protection; the DmofwHi and YTLAD add a full litre and named 304 steel; the Bodum Bistro adds cork, brand and a 2-year warranty. None sets a temperature, so you manage that by waiting.
Preset control — OLEGA and Cosori. The OLEGA buys six named presets from 130 to 212°F, a 2-hour hold, 1000W and both safety features, at the budget end of the page. The Cosori buys five unnamed presets, a 1-hour hold within 5°F, 304 steel in the interior, lid and spout, and the best rank on the page, and leaves out stated power and stated safety features. Neither sets a temperature between its presets.
Degree-level control — YDDZZM, INTASTING, Narcissus. Here the step buys a temperature you choose to the degree, or an accuracy claim, or both. The YDDZZM adds a live display and a 24-hour hold, the INTASTING a 7mm spout and a 2-year warranty, the Narcissus all three temperature answers, an 8mm spout, 1200W, a 6-hour hold and both safety features.
Connected control — Govee. The final step buys an app, WiFi and Bluetooth, a scheduled boil and a 2-hour hold at 1200W. It gives up a stated warranty and a stated accuracy, and needs a 2.4GHz network.
The extra spend does not track the spec sheet. The kettle that states the most sits in the middle of the page on cost; the best-selling one states five checks and omits power and safety. On this page, paying more buys features in some cases and brand in others, and the listing is the only way to tell which.

What to Check Before You Buy
Decide Whether You Need Temperature Control at All
Four of these ten kettles only boil. If you brew pour-over coffee, a boil-only gooseneck plus a short rest off the base gets you close to brewing temperature. If you brew green or white teas, or want repeatable coffee, choose from the six temperature-control models. That one decision cuts the shortlist almost in half.
Ask Which Temperatures the Presets Are
The Cosori has five presets and the Govee four, and neither listing names them. The OLEGA shows it can be done: 130, 175, 185, 195, 205 and 212°F. Presets that skip your preferred temperature force you to accept the nearest one. If you buy a preset kettle, find the preset list first; if you cannot, choose a kettle with 1° steps, the Narcissus or YDDZZM.
Look for a Stated Accuracy
Three listings give one: ±1°F on the Narcissus and INTASTING, within 5°F on the Cosori. The other three temperature-control kettles give none. A setting is a target; accuracy is how close the kettle claims to get. For tea especially, prefer a number in writing.
Get the Wattage
Seven listings state it, at 1000W or 1200W. A 1200W base heats 0.8 litres about a sixth faster than a 1000W base, by our arithmetic. If a listing leaves power out, as the Cosori, INTASTING and Bodum Bistro do, ask; it also tells you whether the kettle suits a weak or shared circuit.
Confirm Automatic Shut-Off and Boil-Dry Protection in Words
Eight state shut-off; seven add boil-dry protection. The Cosori and INTASTING state neither; the Bodum Bistro states shut-off only. Any kettle with a hold function may sit on its base unattended, so boil-dry protection is the safeguard to look for. If a listing is silent, ask the seller before you rely on it.
Check What Touches the Water
Seven listings name 304 stainless steel; the INTASTING and YDDZZM say it covers every water-contact surface. The Chefman, OLEGA and Bodum Bistro say stainless steel with no grade. If plastic contact matters to you, look for the words “all water-contact surfaces” or ask which parts are steel.
Match the Capacity to Your Brew
Sizes here run from 0.8 to 1.0 litres. A single pour-over plus a filter rinse fits comfortably in 0.8 litres; two cups or a pot of tea is easier with 0.9 or 1.0. Paper filters want a rinse, so budget a little extra water; a metal filter from our reusable coffee filter guide skips that step. Anything beyond a litre is better served by a standard kettle.

Common Mistakes
- Assuming every gooseneck controls temperature. Four of these ten only boil: the Chefman, DmofwHi, YTLAD and Bodum Bistro.
- Buying presets without knowing them. The Cosori has five and the Govee four, and neither listing says which temperatures they are; the OLEGA names all six.
- Reading 1° steps as 1° accuracy. The YDDZZM sets in 1°F steps but states no accuracy; only the Narcissus states both.
- Taking safety features for granted. The best-ranked Cosori and the INTASTING state neither automatic shut-off nor boil-dry protection.
- Ignoring the wattage gap. Three listings state no wattage at all, and they are the three best-ranked kettles on the page.
- Expecting the same hold from every temperature kettle. Holds here run from 1 hour on the Cosori and INTASTING to 24 on the YDDZZM.
- Touching a single-wall body. The DmofwHi warns its one-layer body gets hot while boiling, despite claiming insulation.
- Treating rank as a spec sheet. The kettle that states eight of nine checks ranks seventh of ten; the second-ranked states two.
Who Should Buy Which
Buy the Narcissus P901 if you want every number in writing. 1°F steps from 100 to 212°F, ±1°F, a hold of up to six hours, an 8mm spout, 1200W, and both anti-dry protection and automatic shut-off. Accept that it has no app, the hold stops below 205°F, and the after-sales promise is not a standard warranty.
Buy the Govee H7170 if you want to schedule your water. The only app kettle here, over WiFi or Bluetooth, with a 104–212°F range, a 2-hour hold and 1200W. Accept that no warranty or accuracy is stated and that it needs 2.4GHz WiFi.
Buy the INTASTING if the spout comes first. A 7mm spout, ±1°F, 304 steel on every water-contact surface and a 2-year warranty. Ask the seller for its wattage and confirm boil-dry protection, because the listing gives neither.
Buy the YDDZZM if you want hot water at a set temperature all day. 1°F steps, a live LCD and a 24-hour hold, with anti-dry and shut-off stated. Accept no accuracy figure and no warranty.
Buy the Cosori if you want the best-selling name from Amazon.com. Five presets, a 1-hour hold within 5°F and a layered warranty. Find out the preset temperatures first, and accept that the listing states no wattage, shut-off or boil-dry protection.
Buy the OLEGA if you want temperature control on a budget. Six named presets from 130 to 212°F, a 2-hour hold with memory, 1000W, shut-off and boil-dry stated. Accept fixed steps, no stated steel grade, no warranty and the lowest rank here.
Buy the Chefman if you want a simple gooseneck at the lowest cost. 1000W, shut-off at the boil and on low water, fill markings and a 1-year assurance, sold by Amazon.com. Accept no temperature control and no stated steel grade.
Buy the DmofwHi if you want the most water from a boil-only gooseneck. 1 litre, 1000W, 304 steel and boil-dry protection explained. Accept a body that gets hot and no warranty.
Buy the YTLAD if you want a retro 1-litre kettle that states its safety features. 1000W, 304 lid, spout and interior, shut-off and boil-dry stated. Accept no temperature control and no warranty.
Buy the Bodum Bistro if you want the Bodum design with a warranty. Cork handle, 2-year limited warranty, sold by Amazon.com. Accept boil-only, no stated wattage and no stated boil-dry protection.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best gooseneck kettle?
On the listings, the Narcissus P901. Of the nine checks we counted, capacity, wattage, temperature control, keep-warm, a measured spout, the steel touching the water, automatic shut-off with boil-dry protection, smart control and a warranty, it states eight. It sets in 1°F steps from 100 to 212°F, claims ±1°F accuracy, holds for up to six hours below 205°F, has an 8mm spout and a 1200W base, and states both anti-dry protection and automatic shut-off. The only thing it lacks is an app. If you want app control and a scheduled boil, the Govee H7170 is the only smart kettle here. If you only need a good spout and boiling water, the Chefman is the simplest, with 1000W and shut-off at the boil and on low water, sold by Amazon.com. None of these were tested by us; the choice rests on what each listing commits to in writing.
What is the best electric gooseneck kettle with temperature control?
Six of the ten kettles here control temperature, and they do it differently. The Narcissus P901 is the most complete: 1°F steps from 100 to 212°F and a stated ±1°F accuracy, the only listing to state both. The YDDZZM also sets in 1°F steps, from 104 to 212°F, and shows real-time temperature on an LCD, but gives no accuracy figure. The INTASTING claims ±1°F but does not say how you set the temperature or over what range. The Govee sets 104 to 212°F through an app, with four presets on the base. The Cosori has five one-touch presets whose temperatures the listing does not name, and holds within 5°F. The OLEGA has six presets and names them all, from 130 to 212°F. If you want to set any temperature you like and trust the number, the Narcissus is the strongest listing; if you also want a live reading, consider the YDDZZM.
What is the best pour over kettle?
For pour-over, the spout and the temperature both matter. The two kettles with measured spouts are the INTASTING at 7mm and the Narcissus at 8mm; the other eight describe their spouts only in words. For temperature, coffee guidance commonly cites water just off the boil for pour-over, and the Narcissus and YDDZZM let you set it to the degree. Put together, the Narcissus states a measured spout, 1° steps and ±1°F accuracy, which makes it the most complete pour-over listing here. The INTASTING is the pick if you want the narrowest measured spout and can confirm its wattage and safety features with the seller. A boil-only gooseneck such as the Chefman still works for pour-over if you let the water rest briefly off the base before pouring. A scale under the dripper helps you control the pour whichever you choose.
Do I need temperature control on a gooseneck kettle?
Not strictly, but it helps. A gooseneck spout controls how you pour; temperature control decides what you pour. For pour-over coffee, freshly boiled water rested briefly off the base comes close to typical brewing temperatures, which is why boil-only goosenecks remain popular. Four of the ten here only boil: the Chefman, DmofwHi, YTLAD and Bodum Bistro. If you brew green, white or oolong teas, which usually want much cooler water, or if you want repeatable coffee from one morning to the next, temperature control removes the guesswork. It also brings a keep-warm function on all six models that have it, from one hour on the Cosori and INTASTING to 24 hours on the YDDZZM. If you are unsure, a model with 1° steps, such as the Narcissus or YDDZZM, covers every drink without forcing a preset on you.
What wattage should a gooseneck kettle be?
The kettles here that state a figure use either 1000W or 1200W. Five listings, the Chefman, DmofwHi, YTLAD, YDDZZM and OLEGA, state 1000W; the Govee and Narcissus state 1200W. The Cosori, INTASTING and Bodum Bistro give no wattage at all. Power mainly sets how long you wait. By our arithmetic, heating 0.8 litres from tap temperature to boiling takes a little under four minutes at 1200W and about four and a half at 1000W, assuming perfect efficiency; real kettles take somewhat longer, and the listings claim three to five minutes. The Narcissus says it boils its full 0.9 litres in five minutes. On a small kettle, the difference between 1000W and 1200W is under a minute. The more useful point is that a listing which states power is one you can plan around, especially on a shared kitchen circuit.
Are presets or 1-degree steps better on a gooseneck kettle?
Presets are faster, steps are more flexible. A preset kettle heats to one of a few fixed temperatures at a touch, which suits anyone who brews the same two or three drinks. The catch is that you are limited to the list, and two of the three preset kettles here do not publish theirs: the Cosori has five and the Govee four, unnamed in their listings. The OLEGA is the exception, with six named presets at 130, 175, 185, 195, 205 and 212°F, which covers formula, green tea and the usual pour-over range. A kettle with 1°F steps, such as the Narcissus from 100 to 212°F or the YDDZZM from 104 to 212°F, lets you set anything in between and fine-tune by taste. Steps also matter when a recipe calls for a temperature no preset offers, such as 200°F for a lighter roast or 160°F for a delicate tea. If you only ever brew coffee near 205°F and tea near 175°F, named presets are enough; if you experiment, choose steps.
Is it safe to leave a gooseneck kettle on keep-warm?
It depends on what the listing states. Keep-warm on these kettles runs from one hour on the Cosori and INTASTING to two on the Govee and OLEGA, six on the Narcissus and 24 on the YDDZZM. A kettle holding water warm may well be left alone, so the two features to look for are automatic shut-off and boil-dry protection, which cuts power if the kettle runs dry. The Govee, Narcissus, YDDZZM and OLEGA state both. The Cosori and INTASTING, the other two kettles with a hold function, state neither. That does not mean they lack them, but their listings do not commit to it. Whatever you buy, fill above the minimum mark, keep the base on a dry, stable surface away from the edge, and switch off a long hold when you are done to save power. If a listing is silent on boil-dry protection, ask the seller.
What size gooseneck kettle do I need?
For one pour-over at a time, 0.8 litres is enough; for two cups or a pot of tea, 0.9 or 1.0 litres gives more headroom. Five kettles here hold 0.8 litres: the Cosori, the Bodum Bistro, the Chefman, the Govee and the OLEGA. Three hold 0.9: the INTASTING, Narcissus and YDDZZM. Two hold 1.0: the DmofwHi and YTLAD. The Chefman says its 800ml serves two to four cups and the YTLAD says its litre suits one or two people. Remember the extra water a pour-over uses: rinsing a paper filter and warming the dripper and cup can take a good share of the kettle before you brew. A gooseneck is deliberately small, since a full kettle is heavier to hold steady at the angle a slow pour needs. If you regularly need more than a litre, a standard electric kettle is the better tool.
Final Verdict
Eight of nine checks stated: 1°F steps, ±1°F, an 8mm spout, 1200W, a 6-hour hold and both safety features.
The only app kettle here, with a scheduled boil, a 104–212°F range, a 2-hour hold and 1200W.
Boil-only, 1000W, shut-off at the boil and on low water, a 1-year assurance, sold by Amazon.com.
Ten gooseneck kettles all sell the same spout, and they commit to very different amounts beyond it. Counting nine checks, the listings range from eight on the Narcissus to two on the Bodum Bistro. Capacity is the only thing every listing states. Wattage is missing on three, temperature control on four, a measured spout on eight, and a warranty on five.
The details that matter most are the ones most often left out. Only three listings state a temperature accuracy and only one states both 1° steps and ±1°F. Seven state boil-dry protection, and the best-ranked kettle on the page is not one of them. And the three best-ranked kettles are exactly the three that state no wattage.
So buy a gooseneck kettle by its listing, not its rank. Decide whether you need temperature control. If you do, look for a step size and an accuracy figure. Then get the wattage, confirm shut-off and boil-dry protection in words, and check what touches the water. The best-ranked kettles here sell on name; the most complete listings sit lower down.
If you buy one gooseneck kettle from this page, make it the Narcissus P901: eight of nine checks in writing, including 1°F steps, ±1°F accuracy, an 8mm spout, 1200W and both safety features. If you want to run it from a phone, the Govee H7170 is the only choice; if you only need to pour, the Chefman states the basics for the least outlay.
