Every crepe pan on this page is sold by a number. Ten inches. Eleven inches. Eight inches. The number sits in the title, the size field and usually the first line of the bullets, and it is the figure a buyer compares. It is the width of the pan, and a crepe is not as wide as the pan. Batter is spread across the flat base. The wall or flared lip that rises around it, however low, takes up part of the diameter that the title quotes.
One listing of ten tells you how much. The de Buyer Blue Carbon Steel Crepe & Tortilla Pan puts both figures in its title: “9.5” Diameter, 7.75” Cooking Surface”. That is 1.75 inches of diameter, about 0.875 inches on each side, that is rim rather than crepe. By area, which is our arithmetic, the 7.75-inch flat is about 47.2 square inches and the 9.5-inch circle about 70.9. The crepe-making part of the pan is roughly two-thirds of what the headline size implies.
The other nine give a pan size and stop. SENSARTE says 10 inches. ESLITE, Innerwell, OXO and Le Creuset say 11. Kordisen and Hiceeden say 10. bodkar says 8 inches in its title and 9 in its model number. The Tefal gives no diameter at all, only a boxed outline of 45.1 by 27.9 by 5.6 cm. Not one of them states a cooking surface, a base diameter or a flat area. Two state a wall height in words: SENSARTE’s “1/2 inch high side” and Innerwell’s “1 inch raised edge”.
That matters because the size is the whole point of a crepe pan. A crepe pan is a frying pan with the wall taken almost away, so that batter can be swirled thin and a spatula can get under the edge. If the rim is low and steep, the flat is close to the headline. If it flares, as a traditional French steel crepe pan does, the flat can be much smaller. A buyer choosing between a 10-inch and an 11-inch pan is choosing about 21% more area by the headline, our arithmetic; on the one listing that lets us check, the rim alone takes a third.
The other differences are just as easy to miss in the titles. Seven of the ten say they are coated, under five different descriptions: “granite”, “ceramic”, “Toughened Non-Stick”, a laser-etched honeycomb on stainless steel, and a plain “Non-stick Coating”. Two are bare carbon steel that has to be seasoned. The Tefal does not say what its surface is. Six name induction in words. Oven figures run from 302°F to 660°F, four listings give none, and one says “NOT OVEN SAFE”. Four put a batter spreader in the box. None includes a crepe spatula.
So this guide sorts the ten by what each listing lets you know about the crepe it makes: the stated diameter and any stated flat area or wall height, then the surface and what its coating claims, then induction, the oven figure and whether a spreader comes with it. Where a listing’s own fields disagree, we report both. Star ratings and review counts were not captured for this roundup; popularity below is Amazon’s Best Sellers Rank only.
All ten were captured on 5 October 2026. Their overall Best Sellers Ranks run from #955 to #90,523, and the one listing that states a cooking surface sits eighth, at #36,225 overall and #12 in Crepe Pans.

Best Sellers Ranks and specifications are taken from each manufacturer’s Amazon listing as displayed on 5 October 2026 through a United States connection, and may change. Diameters are the pan sizes each listing states. Only the de Buyer gives a cooking surface, shown in brackets; for the other nine, the flat area the batter sits on is not stated. The bodkar says 8 inches in its title and size field, while its model number reads BK-LGB-9in and its width field 9.0 inches; both are reported. The Tefal states no diameter; its 27.9 cm (about 11 inches, our conversion) is the width of its boxed outline. Le Creuset says “Compatible with all cooktops” without using the word induction. Coating names are each listing’s own, and the chemistry behind “granite” or “ceramic” is not spelled out on most of them. Ranks in the detail cards are overall and category Best Sellers Ranks as returned on 5 October 2026. Two pans were sold by Amazon.com at capture; three were flagged as scarce stock. Star ratings and review counts were not captured for any product here.

How We Chose These Ten
We researched current listings, compared manufacturer specifications and documentation, and read each listing’s claims about its size, its surface and its heat sources line by line. We did not carry out hands-on testing, and nothing below is presented as measured performance data. Star ratings and review counts were not captured for this roundup. We used Amazon Best Sellers Rank, buy-box stock and listing specifications instead, and nothing on this page describes or implies how owners have scored these pans.
- Pans sold for crepes — every product here is a flat, low-sided pan sold as a crepe pan, or as a flat pan for crepes, dosas, tortillas and pancakes. Electric crepe makers, rectangular griddles and deep frying pans were not in the running.
- Both main surfaces — the ten include seven pans sold as coated, two bare carbon steel pans and one aluminium pan whose surface is not stated, because buyers choose between those two kinds of crepe pan first.
- Size recorded exactly as printed — the headline diameter, any stated cooking surface or flat area, and any wall height given in words. Spec-table height, length and width fields are reported as fields, because they do not say what they measure.
- Coatings named in the listing’s words — “granite”, “ceramic”, “Toughened Non-Stick” and so on, with each free-of claim presented as the listing’s claim. We make no health claims for any coating or material.
- Heat sources and limits as stated — induction counted only where the listing names it or says all cooktops, and an oven temperature only where one is printed. A silence is marked not stated.
- Tools in the box — a spreader, rateau or spatula counted only where the title or bullets say it is included.
- Model numbers compared — we checked every part and model number for duplicates. No two listings here share one, though two share large stretches of wording, and two give conflicting numbers within the same listing.
- Verified stock and seller — each product was the buy-box offer and in stock on amazon.com on 5 October 2026. The OXO, de Buyer and Tefal were flagged as scarce stock at capture. Ranks are quoted exactly as returned that day.

The Ten Crepe Pans in Detail
1. ESLITE LIFE 11 Inch Nonstick Crepe Pan with Spreader, Granite Coating — Best Overall

The only 11-inch coated pan here that lists a spreader, induction and an oven figure together.
Key Specifications

|---|---|
| Cooking surface | Not stated as a separate figure |
| Height field | 0.4 in |
| Body and surface | Cast aluminium; granite coating |

| Induction | Yes; gas, ceramic and electric also named |
| Oven-safe | To 302F, stated |
| Included | Wooden spreader |
| Listed weight | 2.0 pounds |
| Model | Y-PS1228 (part number); Y – PS1628 (model field) |
| Best Sellers Rank | #1,816 overall; #2 in Crepe Pans |
Why We Recommend It
This is the most complete coated listing on the page. It states an 11-inch diameter, names induction, gives an oven figure and puts a spreader in the box. No other pan here does all four. The size bullet reads “Generous 11-inch diameter provides ample space for making large crepes, pancakes, and flatbreads”, and the cooktop bullet says the pan works “on gas, ceramic, electric, and induction stove tops” and is “Oven safe to 302F”.
Like nine of the ten, it gives a pan size and not a crepe size. The bullet calls 11 inches the “11 Inch Cooking Surface” in its heading and the “diameter” in its text, which are not the same thing on any pan with a rim. The spec table offers one clue: a height of 0.4 inches, the lowest on the page. If that field measures the pan body, as SENSARTE’s matching 0.5 inch field and stated 1/2 inch side suggest it can, the wall is very low, and a low wall gives up little of the diameter. That is a reading of a spec field, not a stated figure; on an 11-inch pan, even a modest lip leaves the largest crepe of any coated pan here except the other 11-inch pans.
The spreader is the practical difference. “Comes with a wooden spreader tool to help you evenly distribute batter across the pan surface for thin, uniform crepes, dosas, and tortillas every time.” Four of the ten include a spreader or rateau: this pan, the Kordisen, the Hiceeden and the Le Creuset. A spreader, the T-shaped wooden tool also called a rateau, pushes a ladle of batter out to an even thin round, which is how crepe stands get them so large and so flat. None of the ten includes a crepe spatula, so budget for one; a thin, flexible spatula suits a coated pan.
The coating claim goes further than most. The listing calls it a “Granite Coating” and says the pan is “free of PTFE & PFOA, lead, cadmium”. That is the listing’s claim, and it is the only coated pan here to say PTFE-free in words. It does not say what the granite coating is made of instead. The body is “cast-aluminum” with a “magnetized base”, which is how an aluminium pan works on induction. The handle is “stay-cool bakelite”, and bakelite handles are usually what holds an oven figure down; 302F is the joint-lowest stated here, with SENSARTE.
Two small inconsistencies are worth knowing. The part number reads Y-PS1228 and the model field reads Y – PS1628, so the listing does not agree with itself on which model this is. And its wording overlaps with SENSARTE’s: both say the bakelite handle is “suitable for grasping and staying cooling while cooking”, both name a cast aluminium body and a magnetic base, and both give 302°F. The model numbers differ (SENSARTE’s is 26cm), the sizes differ, and the spreader is ESLITE’s alone, so we treat them as two products with shared copy.
What to weigh. It is sold by ESLITE LIFE and ranks #1,816 overall and #2 in Crepe Pans, third overall on the page. The listed weight is 2.0 pounds. No warranty is stated. If you want the most crepe-making kit in one box at a modest outlay, this is it; ask the seller for the flat base diameter if the exact crepe size matters to you.
Pros
- 11-inch diameter stated
- Wooden spreader included
- Induction named in words
- Oven-safe figure given, 302F
- PTFE-free claimed in words
- #2 in Crepe Pans
Cons
- Cooking surface not stated
- Two different model numbers in one listing
- 302F oven limit, joint-lowest stated
- Coating chemistry not stated
- No spatula included
- No warranty stated
Best for: A first crepe pan for a buyer who wants a large coated surface, a spreader in the box and induction stated.
2. de Buyer Blue Carbon Steel Crepe & Tortilla Pan, 9.5 in Diameter, 7.75 in Cooking Surface — Best Carbon Steel

The only listing on the page that tells you how big the crepe will be, and it is 1.75 inches smaller than the pan.
Key Specifications
| Diameter | 9.5 in, stated in title |
|---|---|
| Cooking surface | 7.75 in, stated in title |
| Rim | Not stated; 0.875 in each side of the flat, by our arithmetic |
| Height field | 1.7 in |
| Material | Blue carbon steel; no coating |
| Seasoning | Needs seasoning; method given in listing |
| Induction | Not stated |
| Oven-safe | Not stated |
| Handle | Steel-welded French handle |
| Listed weight | 2.05 pounds |
| Made in | France, stated |
| Model | 2465 (model field); 530324 (part number) |
| Best Sellers Rank | #36,225 overall; #12 in Crepe Pans |
Why We Recommend It
This is the one listing that measures the crepe as well as the pan. The title says “9.5” Diameter, 7.75” Cooking Surface”. No other pan on the page gives a second figure. The difference is 1.75 inches of diameter, about 0.875 inches on each side, which is the flared rim that a traditional French crepe pan rises into. By area, our arithmetic, the cooking surface is about 47.2 square inches against about 70.9 for the full 9.5-inch circle: roughly two-thirds.
That figure is the yardstick for the rest of the page. It does not mean every pan here loses a third of its size. A pan with a short, steep wall loses less, and two listings say their walls are short, SENSARTE at 1/2 inch and Innerwell at 1 inch. It does mean that a headline diameter is an upper limit, and that on a flared pan the gap can be large. If an 11-inch pan lost the same 1.75 inches, its flat would be 9.25 inches, about 67.2 square inches, our arithmetic: smaller than the full circle of a 10-inch pan. Only de Buyer lets you do that sum with its own numbers.
It is uncoated, so it has to be seasoned. The listing says the pan is “Naturally non-stick after seasoning” and made “without any artificial coatings”, and it prints the method: wash with hot water, dry, “apply a thin layer of high-smoke point oil and begin heating. Heat until the oil begins to smoke lightly, then let cool.” As general guidance for any carbon steel pan, expect to repeat that oil-and-heat cycle a few times before thin crepes release cleanly, hand wash, dry it straight away and wipe on a film of oil, and avoid long soaks, which invite rust. The “UNIQUE BLUE FINISH” is a heat treatment that the listing says “provides initial corrosion resistance and aids seasoning”; it is not a non-stick coating.
It is silent on induction and the oven. Carbon steel is magnetic, so induction is plausible in principle, but the listing does not say so, and on a small induction ring a 7.75-inch flat may not sit fully over the coil. No oven figure is given either. The handle is a “traditional, steel-welded French handle” that keeps “your hand … away from the heat”, all steel with no plastic to limit it, but that is our reading of the materials, not a stated limit.
Its spec table needs care. It gives 2.05 pounds, a credible weight for a steel crepe pan of this size, and a height field of 1.7 inches. Its length and width fields both read 24.0 inches, which cannot describe a 9.5-inch pan and is most likely a carton; we leave them out. The model field says 2465 and the part number 530324, two different numbers for one listing. The warranty field reads “90 Day Warranty”.
What to weigh. It is sold by Stormvard, flagged as scarce stock at capture, and ranks #36,225 overall and #12 in Crepe Pans. It is the smallest crepe surface on the page that is actually stated, and the only one that is stated at all. If you will season a pan and want a steel crepe pan that says exactly what it cooks on, this is the one.
Pros
- Only stated cooking surface on the page, 7.75 in
- Uncoated blue carbon steel; no coating to wear
- Seasoning method printed in the listing
- All-steel welded handle
- Made in France, stated
- 90 day warranty stated
Cons
- Must be seasoned before thin crepes release
- Induction not stated
- Oven-safe temperature not stated
- Length and width fields read 24.0 in
- Two different model numbers
- Scarce stock; third-party seller
Best for: A cook who will season and care for bare steel and wants to know the exact size of the crepe before buying.
3. Le Creuset Toughened Non-Stick PRO Crepe Pan with Rateau, 11 in — Best Premium

The premium coated pan, with a rateau, a 500°F oven figure and a lifetime warranty, and silent on what its coating is.
Key Specifications
| Diameter | 11 in, stated |
|---|---|
| Cooking surface | Not stated |
| Spec dimensions | 11.25 x 11.02 x 3.15 in |
| Surface | “Toughened Non-Stick PRO”; coating type not stated |
| Induction | “Compatible with all cooktops” |
| Oven-safe | Up to 500°F, stated |
| Dishwasher and metal utensils | Safe, stated |
| Included | Rateau (spreader) |
| Listed weight | Not stated |
| Warranty | Limited Lifetime Warranty |
| Model | TNSP2100-28 |
| Best Sellers Rank | #45,512 overall; #15 in Crepe Pans |
Why We Recommend It
This pan states the most about durability and the least about its coating. The bullets are short: “Triple-reinforced surface that is now 4x stronger”, “Textured interior promotes browning and searing”, “Compatible with all cooktops and oven-safe up to 500°F”, and “Safe for dishwasher and metal utensils”. The listing never says what the non-stick layer is made of, and it makes no free-of claim of any kind. “4x stronger” is compared with nothing named on the page.
The size is 11 inches, and the model number agrees. The title says 11 inches; the model ends in -28, and 28 centimetres is about 11.02 inches by our conversion, the same figure as the spec table’s 11.02-inch width. The other dimension, 11.25 inches, is close enough to be the rim or the handle’s root. The height field reads 3.15 inches, which is more than any crepe pan wall and probably takes in the handle’s rise; the listing gives no wall height and no cooking surface, so the crepe size is not stated.
The rateau is the other reason to pay for it. The title says “Crepe Pan with Rateau”, the French name for the T-shaped spreader. It is one of four spreaders on the page, and the only one on a pan with a stated oven figure above 302°F. Rateau size and material are not stated.
It is the easiest pan here to look after, on paper. Dishwasher-safe and metal-utensil-safe are both stated, which only one other coated pan, Innerwell, matches on the dishwasher, and none on metal utensils. The “Stay-cool ergonomic handles” and the 500°F oven figure are the highest oven figure among the coated pans, second only to the OXO’s 660°F among all ten. The listing’s note that “tempered glass lids up to 425°F” is boilerplate; no lid is listed as included.
“All cooktops” is not the word induction. Six listings name induction outright. Le Creuset says “Compatible with all cooktops”, which normally includes induction, and we count it that way with that caveat. If induction is your only heat, confirm with the seller.
What to weigh. It is sold by Amazon.com, ranks #45,512 overall and #15 in Crepe Pans, and carries the only “Limited Lifetime Warranty” on the page. No weight is listed. It is the premium pick for a coated crepe pan you can put in a dishwasher and use with a metal spatula; what it does not tell you is what the coating is, or how wide the crepe will be.
Pros
- Rateau included
- Oven-safe to 500F, highest coated figure
- Dishwasher and metal-utensil safe, stated
- Limited lifetime warranty
- Model number confirms 28 cm, about 11 in
- Sold by Amazon.com
Cons
- Coating type not stated
- No free-of claim of any kind
- Cooking surface and wall height not stated
- Weight not stated
- Induction implied by “all cooktops”, not named
- Premium-priced for a single pan
Best for: A buyer who wants a coated 11-inch pan with a rateau, dishwasher care and a long warranty.
4. SENSARTE 10 Inch Nonstick Crepe Pan, Granite Coating, Gray — Best Seller

The best-selling crepe pan on the page, and one of two that states how high its side is.
Key Specifications
| Diameter | 10 in, stated; model field 26cm |
|---|---|
| Cooking surface | Not stated |
| Side height | 1/2 inch, stated; height field 0.5 in |
| Body and surface | Cast aluminium core; Swiss ILAG granite coating |
| Coating claim | Free of intentionally added PFOA, as claimed |
| Induction | Yes; magnetic stainless steel base |
| Oven-safe | To 302°F, stated |
| Included | Pan only; no spreader |
| Listed weight | 2 lb (bullet); 1.9 lb (spec table) |
| Model | 26cm |
| Best Sellers Rank | #955 overall; #1 in Crepe Pans |
Why We Recommend It
This is the best-selling pan on the page, and it tells you its wall height. It ranks #955 overall and #1 in Crepe Pans. The size bullet says “Large 10-inch diameter makes crepes to suit the biggest appetites; Lipping around the edge to make sure that liquid doesn’t run off, 1/2 inch high side makes the crepe flipping much easier.” The spec table’s height field agrees at 0.5 inches. Only Innerwell, at 1 inch, also states a wall height.
A half-inch side is about as low as a crepe pan wall gets. The listing still gives no flat area, so the crepe size is not stated. What the half inch does tell you is the most a straight wall could take from the diameter; how much it actually takes depends on the angle, which is not given. The model field reads 26cm, which is about 10.24 inches by our conversion, a touch more than the title’s 10, and that rounding is common on metric-made pans.
The coating is named more precisely than most. “Swiss ILAG nonstick granite coating. Free of Intentionally Added PFOA.” ILAG is the coating maker the listing names; “granite” describes the finish. The listing does not say what the coating is made of beyond that, and the free-of claim is the listing’s, carefully worded: “intentionally added”. It is the only coated pan here to name its coating supplier.
It covers induction and stops at 302°F in the oven. “High magnetic conductive stainless steel base allows the pancake pan to work on all cooktops, including induction. The core of the crepe pan is made of cast aluminium.” The handle is “Heat Resistant Bakelite”, and the pan is “Oven safe to 302°F”, the joint-lowest stated figure with ESLITE. For a crepe pan, the oven matters little; it matters if you want to keep a stack warm in a low oven, which 302°F allows.
No spreader comes with it. Four pans on the page include one; this one does not, and nor does it include a spatula. The listing calls it “no rivets”, which means no rivet heads inside the pan for batter to catch on, a genuine convenience on a crepe pan. Weight is “2lbs” in the bullet and 1.9 pounds in the spec table, close enough to agree.
What to weigh. It is sold by SENSARTE Home and ranks first in its category. Against the ESLITE, it is an inch smaller, states its wall height and names its coating supplier; the ESLITE is an inch larger, claims PTFE-free and adds a spreader. The two listings share several phrases, but their model numbers differ: 26cm here, Y-PS1228 or Y – PS1628 on the ESLITE. No warranty is stated.
Pros
- #1 in Crepe Pans; best overall rank here
- 1/2 inch side stated; height field agrees
- Coating supplier named, Swiss ILAG
- Induction named in words
- No rivets inside the pan
- Light, about 2 lb
Cons
- Cooking surface not stated
- No spreader or spatula included
- 302°F oven limit, joint-lowest stated
- Coating chemistry not stated
- 10 in, an inch smaller than four rivals
- No warranty stated
Best for: A buyer who wants the category best seller, a very low stated wall and induction, and owns a spreader already.
5. OXO Obsidian 11 in Carbon Steel Crepe Pan, Pre-Seasoned — Best Pre-Seasoned Steel

Carbon steel that arrives seasoned, with induction and a 660°F oven figure, and no wall height.
Key Specifications
| Diameter | 11 in, stated |
|---|---|
| Cooking surface | Not stated |
| Height field | 3.23 in |
| Material | Carbon steel; no coating |
| Seasoning | Pre-seasoned, stated |
| Induction | Yes, stated |
| Oven-safe | Up to 660°F, stated |
| Handle | Removable silicone sleeve |
| Utensils and care | Metal utensil safe; hand wash only |
| Listed weight | Not stated |
| Model | CC011491-001 |
| Best Sellers Rank | #960 overall; #16 in Crepe Pans |
Why We Recommend It
This is the carbon steel crepe pan that skips the first seasoning. “PRE-SEASONED FOR CONVENIENCE: Start cooking immediately, no seasoning required. The carbon steel frypan naturally develops a patina over time with use.” Against the de Buyer, which prints a seasoning method for you to follow, that is the main difference between the two steel pans on the page.
It states the highest oven figure here. “Safe for use in the oven up to 660°F/350°C.” The handle carries a “removable silicone handle sleeve”, and the 660°F figure presumably applies with the sleeve taken off, though the listing does not say so; silicone sleeves are not usually rated that high. Induction is named: “Works on all stovetops, including induction”, which the de Buyer listing does not say.
The size is 11 inches and nothing else. The title says 11 inches and the size field “11” Crepe Pan”. No cooking surface, no base diameter and no wall height. The height field reads 3.23 inches, which must include the handle’s rise, and the length field reads 8.0 inches, less than the stated diameter, so neither describes the pan whole. If the OXO’s rim flares like the de Buyer’s, its flat could be well under 11 inches; the listing does not let you check.
Seasoned steel still needs steel care. “Hand wash only and dry fully after washing to preserve the natural patina.” As general guidance, a factory seasoning is a starting layer: cook something with a little fat in the first few sessions, wipe the pan with a thin film of oil while warm, and avoid soaking. The listing says it is “METAL UTENSIL SAFE”, so a thin steel crepe spatula is fine here, as it is on any bare carbon steel. The bullets pitch it for “frying, searing, and stir-frying” rather than crepes, and much of the copy describes the Obsidian frypan line in general.
Its rank needs a caveat. It sits at #960 overall, five places from the category best seller, yet only #16 in Crepe Pans. An overall rank that close to the top seller with a category rank that far down suggests the overall figure may be pooled across Obsidian sizes or variations, though the listing does not say so. Read it with that in mind.
What to weigh. It is sold by Amazon.com and was flagged as scarce stock at capture. No weight and no warranty are stated. If you want carbon steel without the first seasoning, with induction and a high oven figure in writing, this is the steel pan to choose; if you want the crepe size in writing, only the de Buyer gives it.
Pros
- Pre-seasoned, stated
- Highest oven figure here, 660°F
- Induction named in words
- Metal utensil safe
- Removable silicone handle sleeve
- Sold by Amazon.com
Cons
- Cooking surface and wall height not stated
- Weight not stated
- Hand wash and oiling required
- Overall rank may be pooled across variations
- Copy describes the frypan line, not crepes
- Scarce stock at capture
Best for: A cook who wants carbon steel ready to use on day one, on induction, with the oven option kept open.
6. Innerwell 11 Inch Nonstick Crepe Pan, Tri-Ply Stainless Steel, Silver — Best Stainless Steel

A tri-ply stainless crepe pan with a stated 1 inch edge, a dishwasher-safe body and a 480°F oven figure.
Key Specifications
| Diameter | 11 in, stated |
|---|---|

Why We Recommend It
This is the only crepe pan here built like a clad frying pan. “The inner layer of dosa tawa is a food-grade 304 stainless steel, The outer layer of griddle pan is a 430 stainless steel, The middle layer of crepe pan nonstick is thermal aluminum alloy core.” That is tri-ply construction, the same layering our tri-ply frying pan roundup covers in detail. The handle is welded rather than riveted, and the listing says “the handle … never easily loosen”.
It states its wall and its base, and the wall is the tallest stated here. “The stainless steel flat pan adopts 0 degree flat bottom design … The 1 inch raised edge design ensures the food or liquid in the crepe pan, not easily spill.” The spec table’s height field agrees at 1.0 inch. A 1 inch edge is double SENSARTE’s half inch. A taller wall keeps batter and fillings in, which suits pancakes, eggs and dosas, and it makes it harder to get a spatula flat under a crepe’s edge. Neither figure tells you the flat area, which is not stated.
The non-stick claim rests on texture and an unnamed coating. The pan uses “a dual honeycomb laser-etched process” that leaves “micro-convex grain” across the base and walls, “allowing food to suspend on the … nonstick coating”. So there is a coating between the steel peaks; the listing does not say what it is. It does say the pan “is free of PFOA”, which we present as its claim. “10X nonstick performance” is compared with nothing measurable.
Its care and heat figures are among the broadest. “Dishwasher safe and Oven safe up to 480°F”, with induction, gas, electric, glass and ceramic hobs named. Only the Le Creuset also states dishwasher-safe. The 480°F figure is third among the ten, behind the OXO’s 660°F and the Le Creuset’s 500°F.
The weight fields disagree. A bullet says “ONLY 1.98 IB”, meaning pounds; the spec table says 1.6 pounds. Both are light for an 11-inch clad pan. The listing gives no model or part number, the only pan here without one, which makes it harder to match a replacement or check a variation. It does state a “full 12-month warranty”.
What to weigh. It is sold by Innerwell Cooker and ranks #11,658 overall and #3 in Crepe Pans. No spreader or spatula is included. If you want a stainless crepe pan that goes in the dishwasher and doubles as a shallow tawa or griddle, this is the one; if thin, wide French crepes are the job, the 1 inch wall is the trade-off.
Pros
- Tri-ply stainless with aluminium core
- 1 inch edge and flat base stated
- Dishwasher safe, stated
- Oven-safe to 480°F
- Induction named in words
- 12-month warranty stated
Cons
- Tallest stated wall, 1 inch
- Coating type not stated
- Weight fields disagree, 1.98 vs 1.6 lb
- No model or part number
- No spreader included
- Cooking surface not stated
Best for: A buyer who wants a dishwasher-safe stainless pan for crepes, dosas, eggs and pancakes, and accepts a taller rim.
7. Kordisen 10 Inch Crepe Pan Nonstick with Spreader, Granite Coating, Induction Compatible — Best for Dosa

A 10-inch granite pan with a spreader and induction, and no oven figure or body material.
Key Specifications
| Diameter | 10 in, stated |
|---|---|
| Cooking surface | Not stated; “Flat Bottom” |
| Spec dimensions | 18.94 x 10.63 x 1.38 in |
| Surface | Granite coating |
| Coating claim | Free from PFOA and PFOS, as claimed |
| Body material | Not stated; “food-grade materials” |
| Induction | Yes; gas and electric also named |
| Oven-safe | Not stated |
| Included | Spreader |
| Listed weight | 1.9 pounds |
| Model | 0541 |
| Best Sellers Rank | #17,082 overall; #5 in Crepe Pans |
Why We Recommend It
This listing is written for dosas and tortillas as much as crepes. The title reads “Crepe Pan Nonstick, 10 Inch Dosa Pan with Spreader, Granite Coating Comales Para Tortillas Pancake Pan, Flat Bottom for Stove Top”, and a bullet adds “perfect for making dosas, tortillas, and Indian roti”. A spreader is in the title. Of the four pans with a spreader, this is the one that leads with dosa.
The size is 10 inches, and the dimensions back it. The spec table gives 18.94 by 10.63 by 1.38 inches. The 10.63-inch width fits a 10-inch pan measured across its rim, and the 18.94-inch length takes in the handle. The 1.38-inch height field is too tall to be a crepe wall on its own and likely includes the handle. No cooking surface and no wall height are stated. On a 10-inch pan, the flat is 10 inches at most, about 78.5 square inches, our arithmetic.
The coating is “granite” and the claim is two-part. “Made with food-grade materials, our crepe pan is free from harmful chemicals such as PFOA and PFOS.” We present PFOA and PFOS free as the listing’s claim. It does not say PTFE-free, and it does not say what the pan body is made of, aluminium or otherwise. For a pan that names induction, that is a gap: induction needs a magnetic base, and the listing says it “works perfectly on all stovetop types, including gas, electric, and induction” without saying what makes it so.
No oven figure is given. Four listings are silent on the oven; this is one. For crepes that hardly matters. It matters if you want to keep a batch warm in a low oven, and without a stated figure, do not assume the handle will take it.
What to weigh. It is sold by Kitchenomo and ranks #17,082 overall and #5 in Crepe Pans. The listed weight is 1.9 pounds and the model is 0541. No warranty is stated. Against the ESLITE, it is an inch smaller and gives no oven figure or body material, but it carries a spreader and a dosa-first title, which is what a dosa cook on a coated pan is looking for.
Pros
- Spreader included
- Induction named in words
- PFOA and PFOS free, as claimed
- Dimensions consistent with a 10-inch pan
- Dosa, tortilla and roti named
- #5 in Crepe Pans
Cons
- Oven-safe temperature not stated
- Body material not stated
- Coating chemistry not stated
- Cooking surface not stated
- Third-party seller
- No warranty stated
Best for: A dosa or roti cook who wants a coated 10-inch flat pan with a spreader on an induction or gas hob.
8. Hiceeden Nonstick Crepe Pan with Spreader, 10 in, Detachable Handle, Ceramic Coating, White — Best Detachable Handle

The only ceramic coating and the only screw-on handle on the page, with a spreader and no oven figure.
Key Specifications
| Diameter | 10 in, stated in title and size field |
|---|---|
| Cooking surface | Not stated |
| Overall size | 16.9 x 9.6 x 2.4 in (bullet); 16.9 x 10.4 x 2.4 in (spec table) |
| Surface | Ceramic coating |
| Body | Stone and aluminium alloy, as described |
| Coating claim | PFOA free, as claimed |
| Induction | Yes; gas and electric also named |
| Oven-safe | Not stated |
| Included | Spreader; handle detaches with screws |
| Listed weight | 1.79 pounds |
| Model | Hi-CrepePan-10in |
| Best Sellers Rank | #34,297 overall; #10 in Crepe Pans |
Why We Recommend It
This is the one ceramic-coated pan on the page. The title says “Ceramic Coating Pancake Dosa Tawa Griddle Pan”, and a bullet describes “premium stone and aluminum alloy materials”. Three other coated pans call themselves granite, one is a honeycomb on stainless, and one is “Toughened Non-Stick”. This is the only listing to use the word ceramic. It claims “PFOA Free” in the title, which we present as its claim.
Its own fields disagree on width, and one of them cannot be right. The size bullet says “The overall size of this crepe pan is 16.9” * 9.6” * 2.4””. The spec table says 16.9 by 10.4 by 2.4 inches. A 10-inch pan cannot be 9.6 inches wide overall, so the bullet’s width is either a typo or measures something other than the rim. The spec table’s 10.4 inches is consistent with a 10-inch pan. Either way, the cooking surface is not stated.
The handle comes off. “The handle of this griddle pan can be easily installed or detached by screws, making it convenient for storage.” Only it and the bodkar have detachable handles. A screw fixing can work loose with heat cycles, so check it now and then. The bullet’s care note is direct: “Please do not scratch the surface of the pan with sharp objects, and do not burn it empty on high heat.” That advice applies to every coated pan here, and on a crepe pan, where you preheat with little or no batter, it is worth taking literally.
No oven figure is given. Induction, gas and electric are named: the pan is “suitable for use on gas, electric, and induction stovetops”. The oven is not mentioned. A white exterior is unusual and will show browning on the outside sooner than black.
What to weigh. It is sold by Elsjoy and ranks #34,297 overall and #10 in Crepe Pans. The listed weight is 1.79 pounds and the model Hi-CrepePan-10in, which at least confirms the size. No warranty is stated. If you want a ceramic surface, a spreader and a pan that stores flat without its handle, this is the only listing that offers all three.
Pros
- Only ceramic coating on the page
- Spreader included
- Detachable screw-on handle for storage
- Induction named in words
- Model number confirms 10 in
- Light at 1.79 lb
Cons
- Bullet and spec table disagree on width
- Oven-safe temperature not stated
- Cooking surface not stated
- Screw fixing may need tightening
- White exterior shows marks
- No warranty stated
Best for: A buyer who prefers a ceramic coating and needs the pan to store flat in a drawer.
9. bodkar 8-inch Flat Crepe Pan, Lightweight Grill Pan with Wooden Handle — Best for Camping

An 8-inch aluminium pan at half a pound, built for a camp stove, and not for the oven.
Key Specifications
| Diameter | 8 in (title and size field); model BK-LGB-9in; width field 9.0 in |
|---|---|
| Cooking surface | Not stated |
| Height field | 0.6 in |
| Material | Aluminium; non-stick coating, type not stated |
| Heat sources stated | Gas, wood-burning stoves, grill tops, griddle tops |
| Induction | Not stated |
| Oven-safe | No; “NOT OVEN SAFE” |
| Handle | Detachable wooden handle |
| Listed weight | 0.5 pounds (230 grams) |
| Warranty | 3-month warranty |
| Best Sellers Rank | #16,499 overall; #11 in Grill Pans |
Why We Recommend It
This is a camping pan that also makes crepes. The title calls it a “Frying Pan Skillet Flat Crepe Pan, Lightweight Grill Pan with Wooden Handle for Camping Indoor Outdoor Cooking”, and the first bullet says it is “0.5 pound (230 grams), with a detachable wooden handle. You can easily store the flat pan in your backpack.” At half a pound it is a quarter of the weight of most pans here, and Amazon files it in Grill Pans, not Crepe Pans.
Its size is 8 inches or 9, depending on the field. The title and size field say 8 inches. The model number is BK-LGB-9in and the width field reads 9.0 inches; the length field reads 8.0. One reading is an 8-inch cooking area in a 9-inch pan, which would be a modest rim; another is simply inconsistent fields. The listing does not say which. Either way it is the smallest pan on the page: an 8-inch circle is about 50.3 square inches, our arithmetic, a little over half of an 11-inch pan’s 95.0.
The heat sources are outdoor ones, and the oven is ruled out. “Suitable for all kinds of cooktops(including gas stoves, wood burning stoves, grill tops, griddle tops ). (NOT OVEN SAFE)” It is the only listing here to rule the oven out in words. Induction is not named, and plain aluminium is not magnetic, so do not expect it to work on an induction hob. On a wood stove or grill top, watch the wooden handle; the listing says it is riveted and keeps the hand cool, but the handle sits closer to the flame on a small pan.
The coating is mentioned, not described. “Flat Skillet Pan with Non-stick Coating— Safe griddle pan is safe and is easy to use.” No coating type, no free-of claim and no supplier. The care advice is to hand wash under running water and “DON’T use wire or metal brushes”.
What to weigh. It is sold by Aendasun, ranks #16,499 overall and #11 in Grill Pans, and is the lowest-priced pan on the page. The warranty field reads “3-month warranty”. For a camp kitchen, where weight and pack size matter more than crepe diameter, nothing else here comes close; at home, its small size and silence on induction make it a second pan rather than a first.
Pros
- Lightest here, 0.5 lb (230 g)
- Detachable wooden handle packs flat
- Wood stoves, grill tops and gas named
- 3-month warranty stated
- Lowest-priced pan on the page
- Height field 0.6 in suggests a low rim
Cons
- Smallest pan here, 8 or 9 in
- Not oven safe, stated
- Induction not named; aluminium is not magnetic
- Coating type not stated
- Size fields disagree
- Filed in Grill Pans, not Crepe Pans
Best for: A camper or hiker who wants a half-pound flat pan for crepes, tortillas and eggs over a gas or wood stove.
10. Tefal Elegance Aluminium Crepe Pan, Black, 45.1 x 27.9 x 5.6 cm — Least Documented

A known brand with a listing that states no diameter, no coating and no heat sources.
Key Specifications
| Diameter | Not stated |
|---|---|
| Overall size | 45.1 x 27.9 x 5.6 cm, stated in title |
| Spec dimensions | 17.76 x 10.98 x 2.2 in |
| Material | Aluminium, stated in title |
| Coating | Not stated |
| Induction | Not stated |
| Oven-safe | Not stated |
| Included | Pan only |
| Listed weight | Not stated |
| Model | C3671102 |
| Best Sellers Rank | #90,523 overall; #36 in Crepe Pans |
Why We Recommend It
This listing has one bullet, and it is the brand name. The bullet list reads, in full, “Tefal”. The title adds “Elegance Aluminium Crepe Pan, Aluminium, Black, 45,1 x 27,9 x 5,6 cm”. Everything else on this card comes from the spec table, and the spec table does not say much either.
It is the only pan here with no diameter. The size is given as an outline, 45.1 by 27.9 by 5.6 cm, which the spec table converts to 17.76 by 10.98 by 2.2 inches. The 27.9 cm width is about 11 inches by our conversion, and on a round pan the width is usually the rim, so this may be roughly an 11-inch pan; the 45.1 cm length takes in the handle, and the 5.6 cm height is likely the package or the handle’s rise. None of that is a stated diameter or cooking surface. It is our reading of an outline.
The coating is not mentioned. The title says aluminium twice and the listing never says non-stick, coated or anything else about the cooking surface. We know nothing from the page about what the crepe touches. Induction, the oven and any free-of claim are all absent. Plain aluminium is not magnetic, so without a stated induction base, do not expect it to work on an induction hob.
The listing looks imported. The comma decimals in the title, the brand field reading T-Fal while the manufacturer field reads tefal, and a seller called sehrgut all suggest a listing carried over from a European marketplace. The model number, C3671102, is the most useful thing on it: it is what to search for, or quote to the seller, to find the missing specifications.
What to weigh. It ranks #90,523 overall and #36 in Crepe Pans, the lowest on the page, and was flagged as scarce stock at capture. No weight, warranty or spreader is listed. Buy it only once you have the diameter, the coating and the hob compatibility from the seller or the manufacturer, quoting the model number.
Pros
- Model number given, C3671102
- Overall outline stated in cm and inches
- Aluminium body, stated
- About 11 in wide by our conversion of 27.9 cm
- Long-standing cookware brand
- Simple single pan
Cons
- No diameter stated
- No coating stated
- Induction and oven not stated
- One-word bullet list
- Lowest rank here, #90,523
- Scarce stock; third-party seller
Best for: Only a buyer who can confirm the diameter, coating and hob compatibility from the model number first.
One Cooking Surface, Ten Pan Sizes
Every listing sells its pan by a diameter, and one also tells you the diameter of the crepe. The table below sets out every size-related figure each listing gives: the headline diameter, any stated cooking surface, any stated wall height, and the spec-table height field. The area column is our arithmetic, the area of a circle of the headline diameter, and is an upper limit on the crepe, not a measurement of it.
| Pan | Headline diameter | Cooking surface stated | Wall height stated | Height field | Full-circle area (ours) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| de Buyer Blue | 9.5 in | 7.75 in | Not stated | 1.7 in | About 70.9 sq in (flat: about 47.2) |
| ESLITE LIFE | 11 in | Not stated | Not stated | 0.4 in | About 95.0 sq in |
| Innerwell | 11 in | Not stated | 1 in | 1.0 in | About 95.0 sq in |
| OXO Obsidian | 11 in | Not stated | Not stated | 3.23 in | About 95.0 sq in |
| Le Creuset | 11 in (28 cm in model) | Not stated | Not stated | 3.15 in | About 95.0 sq in |
| SENSARTE | 10 in (26cm model) | Not stated | 1/2 in | 0.5 in | About 78.5 sq in |
| Kordisen | 10 in | Not stated | Not stated | 1.38 in | About 78.5 sq in |
| Hiceeden | 10 in | Not stated | Not stated | 2.4 in | About 78.5 sq in |
| bodkar | 8 in (9in in model) | Not stated | Not stated | 0.6 in | About 50.3 sq in |
| Tefal | Not stated | Not stated | Not stated | 2.2 in | — |
The de Buyer is the calibration. It gives 9.5 inches of pan and 7.75 inches of cooking surface. By our arithmetic the flat is about 66.5% of the full circle’s area. That is a classic French steel crepe pan with a flared rim, and it is the only case on the page where the gap can be measured from the listing itself.
Two listings bound the gap from the other side. SENSARTE states a 1/2 inch side and Innerwell a 1 inch edge, and their height fields agree with those figures. A short wall cannot take more than its own slope from the diameter, so on those two the flat is likely close to the headline size, though neither listing says how steep the wall is. ESLITE’s 0.4 inch and bodkar’s 0.6 inch height fields hint at similarly low walls, if those fields measure the pan body as SENSARTE’s does; that is our reading, not a stated figure.
The rest give height fields that cannot be walls. The OXO’s 3.23 inches, Le Creuset’s 3.15, Hiceeden’s 2.4, Tefal’s 2.2 and Kordisen’s 1.38 are taller than any wall stated on this page and most likely include a handle’s rise or packaging. The de Buyer’s 1.7 inches sits in between. On those six, the crepe size is not just unstated but unguessable from the page.
Why the gap matters for choosing a size. By headline, an 11-inch pan offers about 21% more area than a 10-inch one, and about 89% more than an 8-inch, our arithmetic. If an 11-inch pan had the de Buyer’s flare, its flat would be 9.25 inches, about 67.2 square inches: less than a 10-inch pan’s full circle. So a low-walled 10-inch pan can make as large a crepe as a flared 11-inch one. The headline cannot tell you which you are buying; the wall height and, ideally, a stated flat can.

Granite, Ceramic, Honeycomb or Bare Steel
Seven pans say they are coated, two are bare carbon steel, and the Tefal does not describe its surface at all. The coated seven describe their surfaces in five different ways, and only some say what the coating is free of. Every claim below is the listing’s, quoted or summarised; we make no health claims for any of them.
| Pan | Surface as named | Body | Free-of claim (listing’s) | Metal utensils |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SENSARTE | Swiss ILAG granite coating | Cast aluminium, magnetic steel base | “Free of Intentionally Added PFOA” | Not stated |
| ESLITE LIFE | Granite coating | Cast aluminium, magnetized base | PTFE, PFOA, lead, cadmium | Not stated |
| Kordisen | Granite coating | Not stated | PFOA and PFOS | Not stated |
| Hiceeden | Ceramic coating | Stone and aluminium alloy | PFOA | No sharp objects |
| Innerwell | Laser-etched honeycomb with non-stick coating | Tri-ply stainless, aluminium core | PFOA | Scratch resistant claimed |
| Le Creuset | Toughened Non-Stick PRO | Not stated | None stated | Yes |
| bodkar | Non-stick coating | Aluminium | None stated | No wire or metal brushes |
| Tefal | Not stated | Aluminium | None stated | Not stated |
| OXO Obsidian | Bare carbon steel, pre-seasoned | Carbon steel | — | Yes |
| de Buyer Blue | Bare blue carbon steel, no coating | Carbon steel | — | Not stated |
“Granite” is a finish, not a material. Three listings use it. It describes a speckled, stone-look coating, and the word does not tell you what the coating is made of. Only ESLITE adds a PTFE-free claim, and none of the three names the coating chemistry. SENSARTE goes furthest in naming a source, Swiss ILAG, and its free-of claim is precisely worded: “Free of Intentionally Added PFOA”.
Free-of lists differ, so read which substance each one names. PFOA appears on five listings in some form. PFOS appears once, on the Kordisen. PTFE appears once, on the ESLITE. Lead and cadmium appear once, also on the ESLITE. Le Creuset, bodkar and Tefal make no free-of claim at all. A claim that a pan is free of one substance tells you nothing about the others, and none of these claims cites a test or a certifier.
Care rules follow the surface. Coated pans dislike high empty heat and sharp tools; Hiceeden says “do not burn it empty on high heat”, and that applies to every coated pan here. Only Le Creuset says metal utensils are safe on its coating. The two carbon steel pans take metal and high heat, and need seasoning and drying instead. If a coated pan is what you want, our nonstick frying pan roundup sets out the wider coating choices; if you would rather have no coating at all, our uncoated frying pan guide compares bare steel, cast iron and stainless.
Induction, Oven and What Comes in the Box
A crepe pan rarely goes in the oven and often goes on induction, and the extras matter as much as the pan: a spreader is the tool that makes a thin crepe wide. Here is what each listing commits to.
| Pan | Induction | Oven-safe | Spreader | Spatula | Dishwasher |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ESLITE LIFE | Yes | 302F | Wooden spreader | No | Not stated |
| de Buyer Blue | Not stated | Not stated | No | No | No soap needed for seasoning |
| Le Creuset | All cooktops | 500°F | Rateau | No | Yes |
| SENSARTE | Yes | 302°F | No | No | Not stated |
| OXO Obsidian | Yes | 660°F | No | No | Hand wash only |
| Innerwell | Yes | 480°F | No | No | Yes |
| Kordisen | Yes | Not stated | Spreader | No | Not stated |
| Hiceeden | Yes | Not stated | Spreader | No | Not stated |
| bodkar | Not stated | Not oven safe | No | No | Hand wash |
| Tefal | Not stated | Not stated | No | No | Not stated |
Six name induction in words, and a seventh says all cooktops. SENSARTE, OXO, ESLITE, Innerwell, Kordisen and Hiceeden name it; Le Creuset says all cooktops. The aluminium bodkar and Tefal do not mention it, and plain aluminium is not magnetic, so treat both as unsuitable for induction unless the seller confirms otherwise. The de Buyer is carbon steel, which is magnetic, but its listing does not say induction. On any induction hob, the flat of the pan should cover most of the ring for even heat across a thin crepe.
Oven figures run from 302°F to 660°F, and five listings give none or rule it out. The bakelite-handled SENSARTE and ESLITE stop at 302°F, enough to keep a stack of crepes warm. Innerwell gives 480°F, Le Creuset 500°F and the OXO 660°F. Kordisen, Hiceeden, de Buyer and Tefal are silent, and the bodkar says “NOT OVEN SAFE”.
Four include a spreader; none includes a spatula. ESLITE’s is wooden, Le Creuset’s is called a rateau, and Kordisen’s and Hiceeden’s are not described. If you buy one of the other six, add a spreader to the order; and whichever you buy, add a long, thin spatula for turning. On a coated pan, choose one the coating’s care rules allow; only Le Creuset and the OXO say metal is fine.
Model Numbers, Shared Copy and Conflicting Fields
We compared every model and part number on the page for duplicates. No two listings share a model number. Two listings do share long stretches of wording, and four disagree with themselves.
| Pan | Model field | Part number field | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| SENSARTE | 26cm | 26cm | Metric size as model; about 10.24 in by our conversion |
| OXO Obsidian | CC011491-001 | CC011491-001 | Consistent |
| ESLITE LIFE | Y – PS1628 | Y-PS1228 | Two different numbers in one listing |
| Innerwell | Not stated | Not stated | The only listing with no model number |
| bodkar | BK-LGB-9in | BK-LGB-9in | Model says 9 in; title says 8 in |
| Kordisen | 0541 | Not stated | Consistent with 10 in dimensions |
| Hiceeden | Hi-CrepePan-10in | Hi-CrepePan-10in | Bullet and spec table disagree on width |
| de Buyer Blue | 2465 | 530324 | Two different numbers; 24.0 in length and width fields |
| Le Creuset | TNSP2100-28 | TNSP2100-28 | 28 cm, about 11.02 in, matches width field |
| Tefal | C3671102 | C3671102 | The only route to the missing specs |
SENSARTE and ESLITE share copy, not a model. Both describe a bakelite handle “suitable for grasping and staying cooling while cooking”, a cast aluminium body, a magnetic base and an oven limit of 302°F. Their model numbers differ, their stated sizes differ by an inch, and only the ESLITE includes a spreader and claims PTFE-free. Shared wording is common among listings built on similar pans, and it tells you nothing about whether they come from the same factory. Buy either on its own figures.
Conflicting fields are a reason to ask, not a reason to rule out. The ESLITE and de Buyer each give two different model numbers. The bodkar gives 8 inches and 9. The Hiceeden gives a 9.6-inch width that cannot fit a 10-inch pan and a 10.4-inch width that can. The Innerwell’s weight is 1.98 pounds in a bullet and 1.6 in its table. None of these changes the case for or against the pan, but where a figure matters to you, quote the conflict to the seller and ask which is right.
Popularity Does Not Follow the Stated Crepe
Star ratings were not captured for this roundup, so the only popularity measure here is Amazon’s Best Sellers Rank, as returned on 5 October 2026. Nine of the ten are filed in Crepe Pans; the bodkar is filed in Grill Pans. Ranks move constantly, so read the order rather than the exact figures.
| Pan | Overall rank | Category rank | Cooking surface stated |
|---|---|---|---|
| SENSARTE | #955 | #1 in Crepe Pans | No; 1/2 in side stated |
| OXO Obsidian | #960 | #16 in Crepe Pans | No |
| ESLITE LIFE | #1,816 | #2 in Crepe Pans | No |
| Innerwell | #11,658 | #3 in Crepe Pans | No; 1 in edge stated |
| bodkar | #16,499 | #11 in Grill Pans | No |
| Kordisen | #17,082 | #5 in Crepe Pans | No |
| Hiceeden | #34,297 | #10 in Crepe Pans | No |
| de Buyer Blue | #36,225 | #12 in Crepe Pans | Yes, 7.75 in |
| Le Creuset | #45,512 | #15 in Crepe Pans | No |
| Tefal | #90,523 | #36 in Crepe Pans | No; no diameter either |
The top of the category is coated aluminium. SENSARTE and ESLITE, the two pans with shared copy, hold #1 and #2 in Crepe Pans, with Innerwell’s stainless third. The only listing that states a cooking surface is #12. The OXO’s #960 overall beside #16 in Crepe Pans is the oddity on the page; an overall rank that high with a category rank that low suggests the overall figure may be pooled across the Obsidian range, though the listing does not say so.

What Each Step Up Actually Buys
The light outdoor pan — bodkar. Half a pound, a detachable wooden handle and an 8-inch size, for gas and wood stoves. It buys portability and nothing else: no oven, no induction named, the smallest crepe on the page.
The coated 10-inch pans — SENSARTE, Kordisen, Hiceeden. Each buys induction and a coated surface at about 78.5 square inches of full circle, our arithmetic. SENSARTE adds the best rank, a stated half-inch side and a named coating supplier; Kordisen and Hiceeden add a spreader, and Hiceeden a ceramic coating and a detachable handle. Kordisen and Hiceeden give no oven figure.
The coated 11-inch pan with a spreader — ESLITE. Stepping up an inch buys about 21% more full-circle area, our arithmetic, plus a wooden spreader, induction, a 302F oven figure and a PTFE-free claim. It is the most complete coated listing at its level.
The stainless step — Innerwell. Tri-ply construction buys a dishwasher-safe body, a 480°F oven figure and a 12-month warranty, with a 1 inch edge that suits dosas and pancakes better than wide French crepes.
The carbon steel step — OXO and de Buyer. Bare steel buys no coating to wear out and a surface that improves with seasoning. The OXO adds pre-seasoning, induction and 660°F; the de Buyer adds the only stated cooking surface on the page, a welded steel handle and French manufacture. Both ask you to hand wash, dry and oil the pan.
The premium coated pan — Le Creuset. The top of the page buys a rateau, 500°F, dishwasher and metal-utensil safety and a limited lifetime warranty. It does not buy a stated coating type, a stated weight or a stated crepe size. On this page, spending more buys paperwork and durability claims; the size of the crepe you have to ask for.

What to Check Before You Buy
Ask for the Cooking Surface, Not the Diameter
Only one listing of ten states it: the de Buyer, 7.75 inches inside a 9.5-inch pan. For any other pan, ask the seller for the flat base diameter. On a flared rim the gap can be 1.75 inches or more; on a short, steep wall it is much less.
Look for a Stated Wall Height
SENSARTE states 1/2 inch and Innerwell 1 inch. A lower wall gives up less of the diameter and lets a spatula slide under the crepe’s edge; a taller one holds batter and fillings and suits dosas and pancakes. A spec-table height of 2 or 3 inches is not the wall; it includes the handle or the box.
Read the Coating Name and the Free-Of List Separately
“Granite” and “ceramic” describe a finish. The free-of claims name different substances: PFOA on five listings, PFOS on one, PTFE on one. Three coated or aluminium listings make no claim at all. Decide which question you are asking and check that the listing answers that one.
Confirm Induction in Words
Six name induction and Le Creuset says all cooktops. The bodkar and Tefal are aluminium with no induction claim, and the de Buyer is silent. Check that the flat of the pan will cover most of your induction ring.
Check the Oven Figure if You Keep Crepes Warm
Stated figures are 302°F, 302°F, 480°F, 500°F and 660°F. Four listings are silent and the bodkar is not oven safe. A low oven to hold a stack of crepes needs very little, but no figure means no assurance about the handle.
Count the Tools in the Box
Four pans include a spreader or rateau; none includes a spatula. If yours does not have a spreader, buy one with it, and buy a long, thin spatula that suits the surface: metal is fine on the carbon steel pans and the Le Creuset, and best avoided on the other coated pans.
Plan for Seasoning on Carbon Steel
The de Buyer must be seasoned before use and prints the method; the OXO arrives pre-seasoned. As general guidance, both need hand washing, prompt drying and a thin film of oil after use, and both get slicker with regular cooking. If you would rather not do that, choose a coated pan.

Common Mistakes
- Reading the diameter as the crepe size. The de Buyer is 9.5 inches across and states a 7.75-inch cooking surface, about two-thirds of the area.
- Assuming 11 inches always beats 10. An 11-inch pan with the de Buyer’s flare would have a 9.25-inch flat, smaller than a 10-inch circle.
- Reading a height field as the wall. Fields of 2.2 to 3.23 inches include handles or packaging; only SENSARTE and Innerwell state a wall, 1/2 and 1 inch.
- Treating “granite” as a material. Three listings use the word; only one adds a PTFE-free claim and none names the coating chemistry.
- Assuming an aluminium pan works on induction. The bodkar and Tefal are aluminium and name no induction base.
- Putting the bodkar in the oven. Its listing says “NOT OVEN SAFE”, the only one here to rule the oven out.
- Forgetting the tools. Six of ten come without a spreader and all ten without a spatula.
- Skipping the seasoning on bare steel. The de Buyer must be seasoned first; even the pre-seasoned OXO needs drying and oiling after every wash.
Who Should Buy Which
Buy the ESLITE LIFE 11-Inch if you want one box with everything in it. An 11-inch coated pan, a wooden spreader, induction named and a 302F oven figure, #2 in Crepe Pans. Accept that the cooking surface is not stated and the listing gives two model numbers.
Buy the de Buyer Blue if you want to know the size of the crepe. 7.75 inches of cooking surface inside a 9.5-inch pan, stated, uncoated blue carbon steel made in France. Accept that you must season it, and that induction and oven use are not stated.
Buy the Le Creuset if you want a coated pan built for heavy use. A rateau, 500°F, dishwasher and metal utensils, and a limited lifetime warranty. Accept that the coating type, weight and crepe size are not stated.
Buy the SENSARTE if you want the category best seller with a very low wall. 10 inches, a stated 1/2 inch side, Swiss ILAG granite and induction. Accept 302°F and no spreader.
Buy the OXO Obsidian if you want carbon steel ready on day one. Pre-seasoned, induction, 660°F, metal utensil safe. Accept hand washing and oiling, and that no wall height or weight is given.
Buy the Innerwell if you want stainless steel that goes in the dishwasher. Tri-ply, a 1 inch edge, 480°F and a 12-month warranty. Accept the tallest stated wall, which suits dosas and pancakes more than wide French crepes.
Buy the Kordisen if dosa is the main job on a coated pan. 10 inches, a spreader and induction, with a dosa-first title. Accept that the oven figure and body material are not stated.
Buy the Hiceeden if you want ceramic and a handle that comes off. 10 inches, a spreader, induction and a screw-on handle for flat storage. Accept conflicting width fields and no oven figure.
Buy the bodkar if the pan is going camping. Half a pound with a detachable wooden handle, for gas and wood stoves. Accept the smallest size here, no oven and no induction named.
Buy the Tefal only after the seller confirms the basics. Quote model C3671102 and ask for the diameter, the coating and induction compatibility; the listing states none of them.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best crepe pan?
For most buyers, the ESLITE LIFE 11 Inch Nonstick Crepe Pan with Spreader. It is the most complete coated listing on this page: an 11-inch diameter, a wooden spreader in the box, induction named in words, an oven-safe figure of 302F, and a PTFE-free claim, which is the listing’s own. It ranks #2 in Crepe Pans. Its weaknesses are that it does not state a cooking surface, and its part number and model field disagree. If you would rather have bare steel and know exactly how big your crepe will be, the de Buyer Blue Carbon Steel pan is the only listing that states a cooking surface, 7.75 inches inside a 9.5-inch pan, though it must be seasoned and says nothing about induction or the oven. For a premium coated pan, the Le Creuset adds a rateau, a 500F oven figure, dishwasher and metal-utensil safety, and a limited lifetime warranty.
What size crepe pan should I buy?
Decide on the crepe you want, then look past the headline diameter. The diameter on a crepe pan is measured across the rim, and the batter sits on the flat base inside it. On the one listing here that states both, the de Buyer, a 9.5-inch pan has a 7.75-inch cooking surface, about two-thirds of the area by our arithmetic. A pan with a low, steep wall, like SENSARTE’s stated 1/2 inch side, gives up far less. For classic thin French crepes, 10 to 11 inches is common, and the pans here run from 8 inches on the bodkar to 11 inches on four listings. If you want large crepes, an 11-inch pan with a low wall is the safest choice; if you have a small hob ring or an induction zone, make sure the flat base will sit over most of it. Ask the seller for the base diameter where it is not stated.
What is the best frying pan for crepes?
A frying pan works for crepes when it has a flat base, low sides and a surface that releases thin batter. A dedicated crepe pan is simply a frying pan with the wall cut down so a spatula can slip under the edge. If you already own a good non-stick frying pan, it will make crepes, only smaller than its diameter suggests, because its taller sloped walls take up more of the width. On this page, the OXO Obsidian is the closest to a frying pan that is also sold as a crepe pan: carbon steel, pre-seasoned, induction and 660F oven-safe, and metal utensil safe. The Innerwell’s 1 inch edge also makes it a versatile frying pan for eggs and pancakes. For a pan that does crepes first, choose one with a stated low wall, such as the SENSARTE, or the ESLITE with its spreader.
What is the best dosa pan?
Several listings here name dosa directly: SENSARTE, ESLITE, Innerwell, Kordisen and Hiceeden all describe their pans as dosa or tawa pans as well as crepe pans. Of those, the Kordisen leads with dosa in its title and includes a spreader, with induction named, but it gives no oven figure and does not state its body material. The ESLITE is larger at 11 inches and also includes a spreader. The Innerwell’s tri-ply stainless body and 1 inch edge suit a tawa-style pan, and it is dishwasher safe. A traditional dosa tawa is often cast iron or bare steel, which takes high heat and seasons with use; on this page, the de Buyer and OXO carbon steel pans are the closest to that, and our cast iron skillet guide covers the heavier option. Whichever you choose, a flat base matters more than a high wall for spreading dosa batter thin.
What is the best tortilla pan?
For tortillas, you want a flat, even surface that takes steady heat; a wall barely matters. Six listings here name tortillas: SENSARTE, ESLITE, Innerwell, Kordisen, Hiceeden and the de Buyer, whose title calls it a Crepe and Tortilla Pan. The de Buyer’s bare carbon steel takes high heat without any coating to protect, and it states a 7.75-inch cooking surface, which fits a standard small tortilla; it must be seasoned first. The OXO Obsidian is similar carbon steel, pre-seasoned and oven-safe to 660F. Among the coated pans, the Kordisen’s title includes Comales Para Tortillas, and the 11-inch ESLITE gives room for larger flour tortillas. Coated pans prefer moderate heat, so if you like to char tortillas at high heat, a carbon steel or cast iron pan suits the job better. Check the size against the tortillas you buy or make.
Is carbon steel or non-stick better for crepes?
Both work, and they suit different cooks. A coated pan releases crepes from the first use with little fat and needs no seasoning, which is why seven of the ten pans here are sold as coated. The trade-offs are that coatings wear over time, most dislike metal utensils and high empty heat, and the listings rarely say what the coating is made of. Carbon steel has no coating to wear out and takes metal spatulas and high heat, but it needs seasoning: oil heated onto the surface until it forms a slick layer. The de Buyer prints that method; the OXO arrives pre-seasoned. As general guidance, carbon steel also needs hand washing, prompt drying and a thin film of oil after use, and it improves with regular cooking. If you make crepes often and like caring for a pan, carbon steel rewards it; if you make them now and then, coated is simpler.
Do I need a crepe spreader?
You can make crepes without one by tilting and swirling the pan, which works well on a smaller pan with a low wall. A spreader, the T-shaped wooden tool also called a rateau, pushes batter out into a thin, even round and helps on larger pans, where swirling alone may leave the edges thick or the round incomplete. Four pans on this page include one: the ESLITE, Kordisen, Hiceeden and Le Creuset. None of the ten includes a crepe spatula, so whichever you buy, plan to add a long, thin spatula for turning. Spreaders are inexpensive on their own if your pan does not come with one. Pick one sized to your pan, and on a coated pan choose wood or silicone over metal. On the carbon steel pans and the Le Creuset, which states metal-utensil safety, a metal spatula is fine.
Can I use a crepe pan on an induction hob?
Only if the pan has a magnetic base, and the safest way to know is a listing that says so. Six listings here name induction in words: SENSARTE, OXO, ESLITE, Innerwell, Kordisen and Hiceeden. Le Creuset says compatible with all cooktops, which normally includes induction. The bodkar and Tefal are aluminium and do not mention induction; plain aluminium is not magnetic, so expect them not to work unless the seller confirms an induction base. The de Buyer is carbon steel, which is magnetic, but its listing does not mention induction. On any induction hob, an induction ring heats only what sits over it, so the flat base should cover most of the ring for even heat across a thin crepe. Coated aluminium pans that work on induction do so through a steel plate in the base, which SENSARTE and ESLITE both describe.
Final Verdict
An 11-inch granite-coated pan with a wooden spreader, induction named and a 302F oven figure, #2 in Crepe Pans.
The only stated cooking surface on the page, 7.75 inches inside 9.5, in uncoated blue steel made in France.
A rateau, 500°F, dishwasher and metal-utensil safe, and a limited lifetime warranty, sold by Amazon.com.
Ten crepe pans are sold by their width, and one tells you the width of the crepe. The de Buyer states 7.75 inches of cooking surface inside a 9.5-inch pan, about two-thirds of the area by our arithmetic. Nine give a pan size and stop, and the Tefal does not even give that.
So the headline size is an upper limit, not a promise. Two listings narrow the gap with a stated wall: SENSARTE at 1/2 inch and Innerwell at 1 inch. The rest give height fields that measure handles or boxes. An 11-inch pan with a flared rim can make a smaller crepe than a 10-inch pan with a low one, and no title on this page will tell you which you have.
After the size, read the surface, the hob and the box. Seven pans say they are coated, under five descriptions, with free-of claims that name different substances; two are bare carbon steel that needs seasoning; the Tefal does not say. Six name induction and a seventh says all cooktops. Oven figures run from 302°F to 660°F, and the bodkar is not oven safe. Four include a spreader; none includes a spatula.
If you buy one crepe pan from this page, make it the ESLITE LIFE 11-Inch: the most complete coated listing here, with a wooden spreader, induction named, a 302F oven figure and an 11-inch diameter, ranked #2 in Crepe Pans. Ask the seller for its base diameter if the exact crepe size matters. If you will season bare steel and want that size in writing, the de Buyer is the only pan that gives it; for a premium coated pan with a rateau and a lifetime warranty, choose the Le Creuset.
