A spice rack is sold on one number and bought on another. The number on the box is jars: 28, 36, 48. The number that decides whether it works is inches: how deep the drawer is, how tall the cupboard. Line up ten current spice rack listings and the two numbers almost never appear together.
Five of the ten state a jar count, and three of those are counting the jars they ship with. Only three of the ten tell you what space they need. The SpaceAid drawer insert puts it in capitals: “PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR DRAWER IS AT LEAST 3″ DEEP”. The other seven give their own dimensions and leave the cupboard sum to you, and not one of the ten states a warranty.
So this guide sorts the ten by what each listing lets you check before you buy: the type, the stated jar capacity, whether jars are included, the dimensions against the space they need, the material, the mounting and the warranty. Star ratings and review counts were not captured for this roundup; popularity is Amazon’s Best Sellers Rank only.

Best Sellers Ranks and specifications are taken from each manufacturer’s Amazon listing as displayed on 5 October 2026 through a United States connection, and may change. Jar figures are as stated. “Included” means the listing says the jars are in the box; “Not included” means the listing says they are not, or shows a rack-only set; “Not stated” means it does not say either way. The Sevenblue’s 12 jars apply to each of four shelves; the 48-jar total for the pack is our arithmetic. Space figures are the cupboard, drawer or surface each listing says it needs, where it says so; otherwise we give the product’s own dimensions, which are not the same thing. The GOENDR gives its maximum width as 29 inches in its title and first bullet and 29.5 inches in its measurements bullet. The SpaceAid 28-jar set gives 13.4 x 10.8 x 4.4 inches in a bullet and slightly smaller figures in its spec table. The Xpatee and SWOMMOLY weight fields give figures that cannot describe the products, so they are not printed. Ranks shown are the Spice Racks or Pull-Out Organizers category ranks returned on 5 October 2026; overall ranks are in the detail cards. None of the ten listings states a warranty. Star ratings and review counts were not captured for any product here.

How We Chose These Ten
We researched current listings, compared manufacturer specifications and documentation, and read each listing’s claims about capacity, size, material and mounting line by line. We did not carry out hands-on testing, and nothing below is presented as measured performance data. Star ratings and review counts were not captured for this roundup. We used Amazon Best Sellers Rank, buy-box stock and listing specifications instead, and nothing on this page describes or implies how owners have scored these racks.
- Every common type of spice rack — the search term covers cupboard shelves, drawer inserts, pull-outs, wall rails, magnetic fridge shelves, countertop stands and jar sets, so the ten cover all of them rather than ten versions of one shape.
- Jar capacity recorded exactly as printed — a stated maximum where one exists, the number of jars in the box where jars are included, and “Not stated” where the listing gives neither. We do not turn a jar set’s included jars into a capacity claim, and where we total a per-shelf figure across a pack we label it as our arithmetic.
- Dimensions set against the space they need — where a listing names a drawer depth, a cabinet height or a cabinet depth, we print it beside the rack’s own size. Where it does not, we say so, because the product’s outline is not the cupboard it needs.
- Material and mounting as stated — bamboo, steel, powder-coated metal or ABS plastic; and freestanding, screwed, adhesive, magnetic or sliding, logged only in the listing’s words. Where a listing says a rack can be wall mounted without saying what hardware comes with it, we note the gap.
- Warranty recorded for every rack — none of the ten states one. A promise of after-sales contact is reported as what it says, not as a warranty term.
- Model numbers compared — three listings come from SpaceAid, so we checked whether any shared a model number. They do not: 12XLHG-01ZZ-222X2, GBDPZ-4T and XLCT-Cl-4C12 are three different products. Two other listings give the words “Spice Rack” or “spice rack” in their model fields, which identifies nothing.
- Implausible fields left out — where a listed weight cannot describe the product, we say so and do not print it. Where two fields on one listing disagree, we report both.
- Popularity from Best Sellers Rank only — ranks are quoted exactly as returned on 5 October 2026, overall and in the category Amazon assigned. Nine sit in Spice Racks; the SpaceAid pull-out is filed in Pull-Out Organizers.
- Verified stock and seller — each product was the buy-box offer and in stock on amazon.com on 5 October 2026.

The Ten Spice Racks in Detail
1. SpaceAid Bamboo Spice Drawer Organizer, Expandable 4 Tier, 12 to 23 Inch — Best Overall

The only listing that names the depth of drawer it needs, and one of only two that states a capacity for your own jars.
Key Specifications
| Type | Drawer insert, 4 angled tiers |
|---|---|
| Stated jar capacity | Up to 48 spice jars |
| Jars included | No, “Jars Not Included” in title |
| Size | 17 in long x 12–23 in wide x 1.4 in high |
| Space it needs | Drawer at least 3 in deep, stated |
| Material | Solid bamboo |
| Mounting | Sits in the drawer; no fixing stated |
| Listed weight | 1.0 pound |
| Warranty | Not stated |
| Model | XLCT-Cl-4C12 |
| Seller | SpaceAid |
| Best Sellers Rank | #1,405 overall; #9 in Spice Racks |
Why We Recommend It
This is the one listing on the page that tells you, before anything else, whether it will fit. Its first bullet is headed “IMPORTANT NOTICE” and reads: “This spice drawer organizer needs at least 3 inches deep drawer space to fit in when you add jars on; PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR DRAWER IS AT LEAST 3″ DEEP”. The title repeats it in brackets, “(Need 3″ Deep Drawer)”. No other rack here gives you a single measurement to take in your own kitchen and compare against. That is why it heads the page.
The 3 inches is the drawer, not the insert. The insert itself stands 1.4 inches high. The extra depth is for the jars, which lie back on the angled tiers rather than standing upright, so the tops of the jars rise above the bamboo. The listing is clear that the 3-inch figure applies “when you add jars on”. Measure the inside of the drawer, from its floor to the underside of the worktop or the drawer above, not the drawer front, which is usually taller than the usable space. Jar heights vary, and tall jars lie further forward on a tier, so if your jars are larger than standard, a drawer with some depth to spare is the safer choice.
It is also one of only two listings that states a capacity for jars you supply. “4-TIER LARGE CAPACITY – This spice rack organizer for drawer is designed with 4 layer to hold up to 48 spice jars”. The listing does not say what size of jar that figure assumes, and the expansion range matters here: at its full 23 inches wide, four tiers give about 92 inches of tier, by our arithmetic, and at its narrowest 12 inches about 48 inches. Twelve jars a tier at 23 inches works out at a little under 2 inches each, which suits slim standard jars. In a 12-inch drawer, the same arithmetic would leave each jar about an inch, so the 48 figure is a maximum for the widest setting, not a promise in every drawer.
Width is adjustable; depth is not. “The wooden spice rack is expandable from 12″ to 23″ wide, to fit in different sizes drawers”. That covers most kitchen drawers side to side. The other dimension is fixed at 17 inches, which is how far the insert runs from the front of the drawer to the back. A shallow-bodied drawer that runs only 14 or 15 inches deep will not take it. So you need three measurements, not one: at least 3 inches of height, between 12 and 23 inches of width, and at least 17 inches front to back.
What to weigh. It is solid bamboo, listed at 1.0 pound, with no fixing method stated: it sits in the drawer and relies on its fit. There is no warranty in the listing. It ranks #1,405 overall and #9 in Spice Racks. A drawer insert is also the one format here that keeps spices in the dark and away from the hob’s heat without any installation. If you have a spare drawer of the right size near where you cook, nothing else on this page tells you as plainly that it will work.
Pros
- Drawer depth stated: at least 3 in
- Stated capacity: up to 48 jars
- Expands from 12 to 23 in wide
- Solid bamboo; no tools or fixings
- Keeps spices in a closed drawer
- Distinct model number, XLCT-Cl-4C12
Cons
- Needs a drawer at least 17 in front to back
- Jars not included
- 48-jar figure suits the widest setting
- Jar size for the 48 figure not stated
- No warranty stated
- Takes a whole drawer
Best for: A cook with a spare drawer at least 3 inches deep and 17 inches long beside the hob.
2. SpaceAid Bamboo Pull Out Spice Rack Organizer for Cabinet, 7.6 Inch Wide, 2-Tier — Best for Upper Cabinets

It names the exact cabinet it was built for, then fills every inch of that cabinet’s depth.
Key Specifications
| Type | Pull-out, 3 slide-out drawers 2 in wide, 2 tiers |
|---|---|
| Stated jar capacity | Not stated |
| Jars included | Not stated |
| Size | 7.6 in wide x 10.6 in deep x 9.6 in high |
| Space it needs | Cabinet 12 in tall and 10.60 in deep, recommended |
| Material | Bamboo; ball-bearing glides |
| Mounting | Sits on cabinet shelf; bottom panel clears cabinet lip |
| Assembly | Required; hardware and screwdriver included |
| Listed weight | 6.52 pounds |
| Warranty | Not stated |
| Model | 12XLHG-01ZZ-222X2 |
| Best Sellers Rank | #702 overall; #4 in Pull-Out Organizers |
Why We Recommend It
This listing starts with a tape measure. Its first bullet: “MEASURE CABINET SIZE – Please measure the interior dimensions of your kitchen cabinet first; It is recommended for cabinets that are 12″ tall and 10.60″ deep”. It then gives the rack’s overall size, 7.6 inches wide, 10.6 inches deep and 9.6 inches high. Only three listings on the page say what space they need; this is the only one that gives both a height and a depth for the cabinet.
The depth figure leaves nothing spare. The recommended cabinet depth, 10.60 inches, is the same as the rack’s depth, 10.6 inches. In practice that means the rack is designed for one common size of wall cabinet and will run its full depth. If your cabinet is a fraction shallower, or a hinge, a door damper or a shelf pin sits inside the front edge, the rack will not sit flush. The listing says the “Bottom panel clears any cabinet lip for a perfect fit”, which deals with the most common obstruction, the raised front edge of the cabinet floor. Height is more forgiving: a 9.6-inch rack in a 12-inch cabinet leaves about 2.4 inches above it, by our arithmetic, which is room for jar lids to clear and for your hand to lift a jar out.
It is the only pull-out on the page. “Smooth ball bearing glides allow easy sliding; Full extension rails give complete access to all your spices in kitchen upper cabinets”. The size string spells out the layout: “3 Drawers(2″ Wide), 2-Tier”. That is three narrow slide-out units, each 2 inches wide, holding jars in two levels. In a deep upper cabinet, full extension is the point: the jar at the back comes all the way out to you instead of hiding behind the jar in front. That is the problem a step shelf or a lazy Susan also tries to solve; our lazy Susan roundup covers the rotating approach.
It does not say how many jars it holds. No jar count, no jar size, and no word on whether jars come with it. A 2-inch-wide drawer will take slim jars standing in a single row, and the listing’s depth suggests several to a row, but the figure is ours to guess and the listing does not supply it. If you already own a set of jars, measure their width before ordering: a jar much wider than 2 inches will not go in.
What to weigh. It is bamboo with metal glides, listed at about 6.5 pounds, the heaviest rack here that ships without jars. Assembly is needed, with “all the hardware needed (even the screwdriver!)” in the box. The listing does not say whether the unit screws to the cabinet floor; it describes the fit, not a fixing. No warranty is stated. It ranks #702 overall and #4 in Pull-Out Organizers, the second-best overall rank on the page. Its model number, 12XLHG-01ZZ-222X2, is different from both other SpaceAid listings here.
Pros
- Names the cabinet: 12 in tall, 10.60 in deep
- Full-extension ball-bearing glides
- Clears a raised cabinet lip, stated
- Hardware and screwdriver included
- Second-best overall rank here, #702
- Bamboo construction
Cons
- No jar capacity stated
- Jars not mentioned
- Drawers 2 in wide; wide jars will not fit
- 10.6 in deep leaves no spare depth
- Fixing to cabinet not stated
- No warranty stated
Best for: A standard 12-inch-tall, 10.6-inch-deep wall cabinet where jars keep getting lost at the back.
3. GOENDR 3-Tier Spice Rack Organizer, 16 to 29 Inch Expandable Metal Shelf (sold by Bravelights) — Best for Deep Cabinets

A load per tier, a depth per tier and a named cabinet depth, and two different answers for how wide it goes.
Key Specifications
| Type | Expandable 3-tier step shelf |
|---|---|
| Stated jar capacity | Not stated; tiers suit 6–8 oz jars |
| Jars included | Not stated |
| Size | 16–29 in wide (title); 16–29.5 in (measurements bullet); 9.25 in deep; 5.5 in high |
| Space it needs | Size named “Fits 9.25″ Deep Cabinet” |
| Tier depth | 2.55 in (6.5 cm) each |
| Stated load | Up to 5 kg per tier |
| Material | Powder-coated metal, reinforced frame |
| Mounting | Freestanding; also mounts on walls (hardware not stated) |
| Warranty | Not stated |
| Brand / seller | GOENDR / Bravelights |
| Best Sellers Rank | #4,436 overall; #29 in Spice Racks |
Why We Recommend It
This is the most measured of the step shelves. The listing gives the depth of each tier, “Each tier is 2.55″ (6.5 cm) deep—perfect for storing 6-8oz spice jars, seasoning bottles, or vegetable cans”; the load per tier, “Each tier holds up to 5kg”; and a size option named for the cabinet it suits, “Small-Black- Fits 9.25″ Deep Cabinet”. That last phrase makes it one of three listings that say what space they need, and the 9.25-inch figure is also the shelf’s own depth, so as with the SpaceAid pull-out, the fit is exact rather than generous.
It gives two maximum widths. The title and the first bullet say “16″-29″ Expandable”; the measurements bullet says “Adjustable width extends from 16″ to 29.5″”. The spec table gives 16.1 inches, which reads as the closed width. Half an inch rarely matters on a shelf that slides, but if you are filling a cabinet exactly 29 inches wide, plan for the smaller figure and expect the shelf to stop short of either side.
The load figure is the only one of its kind among the shelves. 5 kg per tier is about 11 pounds, by our arithmetic, and across three tiers about 33 pounds. The Zri bamboo shelf, the nearest equivalent, gives no load at all. In a spice cupboard the weight rarely gets near that, but the shelf is also pitched at “vegetable cans sauces and more”, and a row of full cans is a different load. The tiers are stepped, “3-tier stepped design keeps jars elevated and labels visible at a glance”, with “Built-in guardrails” along the front.
It says it can go on a wall and does not say how. “Plus, the spice rack mounts on walls for vertical storage when counter space is tight”. No hardware, holes or fixing method is described. If wall mounting is your plan, ask the seller what comes in the box before you buy, because a shelf this long loaded with jars needs proper fixings into studs or suitable anchors.
What to weigh. It is powder-coated metal, which the listing contrasts with “acrylic or plastic alternatives”. No weight and no warranty are listed. The brand is GOENDR; the seller at capture was Bravelights, and the model field reads “Spice Rack V2.0”. It was released in October 2025 and ranks #4,436 overall and #29 in Spice Racks. For a deep base or pantry cabinet, it is the step shelf that gives you the most numbers to check against.
Pros
- Names a cabinet depth: 9.25 in
- Tier depth stated: 2.55 in
- Load stated: 5 kg per tier
- Expands from 16 in wide
- Powder-coated metal with guardrails
- Freestanding or wall use stated
Cons
- Maximum width given as 29 and 29.5 in
- No jar count
- Wall hardware not described
- No weight listed
- No warranty stated
- Model field reads only “Spice Rack V2.0”
Best for: A deep pantry or base cabinet at least 9.25 inches deep where a row of jars needs lifting into view.
4. Zri Bamboo 3 Tier Expandable Spice Rack Kitchen Cabinet Organizer — Best Bamboo Step Shelf

The one listing that measures the shelf your jars stand on, and says nothing about how much it carries.
Key Specifications
| Type | Expandable 3-tier step shelf |
|---|---|
| Stated jar capacity | Not stated |
| Jars included | Not stated |
| Size | 12.70–22.20 in long x 7.70 in wide x 4.30 in high |
| Shelf depth | 2.28 to 2.56 in, stated |
| Space it needs | Not stated; horizontal use only |
| Material | Moso bamboo |
| Mounting | Freestanding; “Don’t put it vertically” |
| Care | Wipe with damp cloth; not dishwasher safe |
| Listed weight | 0.77 pounds |
| Warranty | Not stated |
| Best Sellers Rank | #1,152 overall; #7 in Spice Racks |
Why We Recommend It
This listing measures the one thing that decides whether a jar stands up: the shelf. “Please put the spice rack organizer horizontally in cabinet, the depth of shelves is from 2.28 to 2.56 inch, fits most of spice jars”. A jar wider than the step it stands on overhangs the front or knocks against the riser behind. Only two listings on the page give a tier depth at all, this one and the GOENDR, whose tiers are 2.55 inches. On paper the two step shelves take the same size of jar.
It is the smallest step shelf here. “Expand the wooden spice rack to the size that fits your space and needs, size 12.70”~22.20”L * 7.70”W * 4.30”H”. At 7.7 inches front to back it fits a shallower cupboard than the GOENDR’s 9.25 inches, and at 4.3 inches high it leaves more headroom for jars on the top step. Across three tiers, it gives about 38 inches of shelf closed and about 67 inches fully open, by our arithmetic. The listing does not name a cabinet size, so the sum is yours: at least 7.7 inches deep, at least 12.7 inches wide, and enough height for the top tier plus your tallest jar.
It gives no load and no capacity. Neither the bullets nor the spec table say how much the tiers can carry or how many jars fit. The listing does give a warning that hints at a limit: “Don’t put it vertically”. That rules out the trick of standing it on end against a cupboard wall, and it means this is a cupboard or worktop shelf only. At 0.77 pounds listed, it is also the lightest rack on the page, which is easy to slide around inside a cabinet and easy to knock out of place.
The bamboo comes with care rules. “MOSO Bamboo: The kitchen cabinet organizer is made of durable and solid bamboo, a biodegradable and sustainable resource”; and “Wipe the spice organizer with damp cloth, then air dry thoroughly. Never put it into dishwasher or submerge it”. That is the usual treatment for bamboo kitchenware; our cutting board roundup covers the same care question for wooden boards. The listing pitches the shelf beyond spices too: “vitamin bottles & essential oils”, lipstick and nail polish.
What to weigh. It ranks #1,152 overall and #7 in Spice Racks, ahead of the metal GOENDR. The model number is HX-10231, and the seller is Zri Bamboo. No warranty is stated. If you want a light, warm-looking step shelf for a standard cupboard and your jars are no more than about 2.5 inches across, this is the one that tells you the step is big enough.
Pros
- Shelf depth stated: 2.28 to 2.56 in
- Shallowest step shelf: 7.7 in deep
- Expands from 12.70 to 22.20 in
- Moso bamboo
- Better rank than the metal step shelf
- Light at 0.77 lb
Cons
- No load figure
- No jar count
- Horizontal use only
- Not dishwasher safe; no soaking
- No cabinet size named
- No warranty stated
Best for: A standard cupboard at least 7.7 inches deep, with jars no wider than about 2.5 inches.
5. Bunoxea Spice Rack Wall Mounted 4 Pack with Hooks, Black — Best Wall Mounted

The highest load per rack on the page and a choice of adhesive or screws, with jars limited to 2 inches across.
Key Specifications
| Type | Wall or door rails, 4 per pack |
|---|---|
| Stated jar capacity | Not stated; fits jars up to 2 in |
| Jars included | No; spice jars not listed in contents |
| Size | 2.75 x 2.75 x 11.41 in per rack |
| Space it needs | Flat wall, cabinet door or pantry door |
| Stated load | Up to 20 lb per rack |
| Material | Powder-coated metal |
| Mounting | Adhesive stickers or included screws |
| Extras | 4 sliding hooks |
| Listed weight | 2.24 pounds (pack) |
| Warranty | Not stated |
| Best Sellers Rank | #1,722 overall; #12 in Spice Racks |
Why We Recommend It
This is the one rack that gives you two ways to fix it, and says which to avoid. “Strong adhesive stickers provide a drill-free mount that grips flat, smooth surfaces without damaging walls or doors — ideal for renters and temporary spaces. Included screws deliver a rock-solid fix. Each racks holds up to 20 lbs.” Then the caveat: “Note: avoid screws on thin, hollow, or adhesive on uneven surfaces.” That warning is the most useful mounting advice on the page. A cabinet door is often thin; a painted plaster wall is often hollow; a tiled splashback is uneven at the grout. Each kills one of the two methods.
The 20-pound figure is the highest per-rack load stated here. The Sevenblue magnetic shelves give 6 pounds each; the GOENDR gives 5 kg, about 11 pounds, per tier, by our arithmetic. Twenty pounds on an 11.41-inch rail is far more than a row of spice jars weighs, so in practice the limit is your wall or door, not the rack. The listing does not say whether the 20 pounds applies to the adhesive mount as well as the screws. Treat it as the screwed figure, and keep adhesive-mounted rails light.
It sets a jar limit instead of a jar count. “Measuring 2.75 x 2.75 x 11.41 inches, this spice organizer fits standard jars up to 2″”. That is a usable way to state capacity. An 11.41-inch rail takes about five 2-inch jars side by side, by our arithmetic, so a pack of four would hold about 20 jars that size; smaller jars would fit more. The guardrails are raised, “Elevated guardrails prevent jars from wobbling or tipping over when opening doors or driving on bumpy roads”, which is why the listing pitches it at RVs as well as pantry doors.
The hooks make it a tool rail too. “Four sliding hooks move freely along the rail to hang openers, shears, spoons, or towels”. That puts it in the same territory as a utensil rail or a knife strip on the wall; our magnetic knife strip guide looks at how much weight wall strips are actually stated to hold. If your spare wall space is next to the hob, remember that heat and steam are hard on ground spices; a pantry door or the inside of a cupboard door is usually a better home for them.
What to weigh. It is powder-coated metal, “won’t bend or warp under long-term heavy loads”, at 2.24 pounds for the pack. No warranty is stated, and the model field reads only “spice rack”, which identifies nothing. Spare adhesive pads are sold separately under another listing, which the bullets name. It ranks #1,722 overall and #12 in Spice Racks.
Pros
- Highest stated load per rack: 20 lb
- Adhesive or screws, both included
- Jar limit stated: up to 2 in
- Raised guardrails
- Four sliding hooks
- Clear warning on unsuitable surfaces
Cons
- No jar count
- Jars wider than 2 in will not fit
- 20 lb figure not tied to a mount type
- Adhesive needs flat, smooth surfaces
- Model field identifies nothing
- No warranty stated
Best for: A pantry door, cupboard door or wall where cupboard space has run out and jars are 2 inches or slimmer.
6. Sevenblue 4-Pack Magnetic Spice Rack for Refrigerator with Hooks, Black — Best Budget

| Warranty | Not stated; promises a solution within 24 hours |
| Release date | 30 April 2026 |
| Best Sellers Rank | #516 overall; #2 in Spice Racks |
Why We Recommend It
The best-selling rack on the page does not go in a cupboard at all. It ranks #516 overall, #196 in Storage & Organization and #2 in Spice Racks, the best figures here by a distance, and it was released on 30 April 2026. It is four plastic shelves with magnets on the back: “The shelves can be used anywhere there is a magnetic surface, such as refrigerators, microwaves, coffee machines, washing machines, whiteboards, tool walls, and even doors.” No drilling, no adhesive, no measuring of cupboards.
It is one of only two racks that states a capacity for your own jars. “Each spice shelf holds up to 12 spice jars or bottles.” Four shelves at 12 each is 48 jars, by our arithmetic, the same total as the SpaceAid drawer insert. The listing does not give a jar size for that figure. On an 11.8-inch shelf, 12 jars in a single row would each get a little under an inch of width, which suggests the figure assumes small jars, or two rows: the shelf is 3.94 inches front to back, enough for two rows of slim jars. Measure your jars before you count on 12.
The load figure is the one to respect. “Each magnetic rack can support up to 6 pounds, no fear of them falling off.” That is the lowest per-unit load stated on the page, a third of the Bunoxea’s 20 pounds. Glass spice jars are heavier than they look, and a full shelf of them can get closer to 6 pounds than you might expect. The other variable is the surface. A magnet holds best on flat, bare steel; many fridge doors have a thin steel skin, and some fridge sides and stainless finishes are weakly magnetic or not magnetic at all. Check your fridge with any fridge magnet before ordering.
The material is plastic, which the listing calls an upgrade. “Crafted from premium upgraded ABS material, this magnetic fridge shelf is incredibly sturdy, rustproof, waterproof, easy to clean”. ABS does not rust, which matters on a fridge door that sees condensation. It is also the only rack here not made of bamboo or metal. The four hooks hang small tools; the same idea, on a wall, is what a knife strip or a utensil rail does, and our utensil holder roundup covers the countertop alternative for tools.
What to weigh. No warranty term is stated. The closest thing is the bullet headed “After-Sale Guarantee”: “If you find any problem with our fridge magnetic shelf, please feel free to contact us, We promise to provide the best solution within 24 hours.” That is a response time, not a period of cover. The model and part fields both read “1”. For a small kitchen with no spare cupboard or wall, it is the budget answer, provided your jars are light and your fridge is properly magnetic.
Pros
- Best rank here: #2 in Spice Racks
- Stated capacity: 12 jars per shelf
- No tools, drilling or adhesive
- Uses no cupboard or worktop space
- Rustproof ABS, suited to a fridge door
- Four hooks included
Cons
- Lowest stated load: 6 lb per shelf
- Needs a properly magnetic surface
- Jar size for the 12 figure not stated
- Plastic, not metal or bamboo
- Response promise, not a warranty
- Model field reads only “1”
Best for: A small or rented kitchen with a magnetic fridge side and a collection of light jars.
7. SWOMMOLY Spice Rack Organizer with 36 Spice Jars 4 oz, 396 Spice Labels — Best Complete Set

The most jars in any box here, each sized in ounces and inches, with the mounting hardware included.
Key Specifications

|---|---|
| Stated jar capacity | 36 jars, included |
| Jars included | Yes: 36 square glass jars, 4 oz, 1.8 in wide x 4.1 in high |
| Size | 16.5 in long x 4.7 in wide x 12.6 in high |
| Space it needs | Not stated |
| Material | Powder-coated alloy steel; lead-free, BPA-free glass jars |
| Mounting | Countertop, cabinet or wall; mounting hardware included |
| Also in box | 396 labels (340 preprinted, 56 blank), chalk marker, funnel |
| Listed weight | Field not credible; not printed |
| Warranty | Not stated |
| Model | SW-Rack03 (part MSES-001) |
| Best Sellers Rank | #20,817 overall; #157 in Spice Racks |
Why We Recommend It
This is the only jar set that tells you the size of its jars. “Spice rack size: 16.5″L x 4.7″W x 12.6″H, Spice jars size: 1.8″W x 4.1″H, 4 OZ.” Neither of the 28-jar sets gives a jar volume or jar dimensions. Knowing a jar is 4 ounces and 1.8 inches across tells you two things: how much of a typical supermarket spice it holds, and whether a refill jar you already own will fit the same rack later. It is also the most jars on the page, 36.
It is the only jar set that says the wall hardware is in the box. “For Countertop, Cabinet or Wall Mounted. Mounting hardware included.” The SpaceAid 28-jar set lists wall mounting among its uses without saying what fixings come with it, and the AOZITA does not mention a wall at all. With 36 glass jars on it, this rack will be heavy, so fix it into studs or with anchors rated for the load, and keep it away from the direct heat and steam over the hob.
The labels and the steel are spelled out. “Enjoy 396 spice labels and a chalk marker for easy organization. 340 labels are preprinted, 56 labels are blank”. The rack is “made of high-quality alloy steel” with a powder electrostatic spray finish, and the “Square spice jars are made from lead free and BPA free glass”. A funnel is included. The 340 preprinted labels match the SpaceAid set’s count exactly; the blank counts differ, 56 here and 46 there, and the model numbers are unrelated, so this is a common kit format rather than a shared product. If you are weighing glass jars for the rest of the pantry too, our glass food storage containers guide covers what the glass claims on storage listings mean.
Two fields do not add up. The listing gives no tier count in its bullets, and its weight field gives a figure that cannot describe a steel rack with 36 glass jars, so we do not print it. It also gives two identifiers: model SW-Rack03 and part number MSES-001. Neither conflict changes what you get, but the missing weight matters if you are planning a wall mount; ask the seller for the loaded weight.
What to weigh. It has the weakest rank on the page, #20,817 overall and #157 in Spice Racks, and no warranty is stated. At 16.5 inches long and 12.6 inches high, it is also the largest jar set here, so it needs the most wall or worktop. Against that, it is the only set that sizes its jars, includes its fixings and gives you more jars than either rival. If you want to start from nothing and fill a wall, it is the most complete kit.
Pros
- Most jars included: 36
- Jar size stated: 4 oz, 1.8 x 4.1 in
- Mounting hardware included
- Powder-coated alloy steel
- 396 labels and a chalk marker
- Lead-free, BPA-free glass stated
Cons
- Weakest rank here, #157 in Spice Racks
- Weight field not credible
- Tier count not stated
- Largest footprint of the jar sets
- No cabinet size named
- No warranty stated
Best for: Starting a spice collection from scratch on a wall or open worktop with room for a 16.5-inch rack.
8. SpaceAid Spice Rack Organizer with 28 Spice Jars, 386 Labels, Chalk Marker and Funnel — Best-Ranked Jar Set

The best-ranked of the three jar sets, with sloped tiers, sift lids and the most mounting options named.
Key Specifications
| Type | 4-tier sloped rack with jars |
|---|---|
| Stated jar capacity | 28 jars, included |
| Jars included | Yes: 28 square glass jars, size not stated |
| Size | 13.4 in W x 10.8 in H x 4.4 in D (bullet); 13.33 x 10.5 x 4.33 in (spec table) |
| Space it needs | Not stated |
| Material | Powder-coated steel; lead-free glass jars, metal caps |
| Mounting | Cabinet, countertop, pantry, door or wall (hardware not stated) |
| Also in box | 386 labels (340 preprinted, 46 blank), chalk marker, silicone funnel |
| Listed weight | 9.7 pounds |
| Warranty | Not stated |
| Model | GBDPZ-4T |
| Best Sellers Rank | #929 overall; #5 in Spice Racks |
Why We Recommend It
Of the three jar sets, this is the one shoppers are buying. It ranks #929 overall and #5 in Spice Racks, against #126 for the AOZITA and #157 for the SWOMMOLY. The contents are listed in full: “1 x 4-tier Spice Rack, 28 x Square Empty Glass Spice Jars, 386 x Spice Labels, 1 x Collapsible Silicone Funnel, 1 x Chalk Marker”. Twenty-eight jars over four tiers is seven a tier, by our arithmetic.
The tiers slope, which the others do not claim. “Inclined design make it easy to locate and quickly grab what you need”. On a flat tier, the jars behind hide the jars in front; on a sloped one, the labels face you. The rack is “Made of strong steel and powder coatings electrostatic spray finished”, and the set lists 9.7 pounds, which, unlike the SWOMMOLY’s weight field, is a believable figure for a steel rack with 28 glass jars.
The lids are described properly. “Feature sift and pour lids allow you either shaking or measuring with spoons, metal airtight caps keep your spices stay fresher longer”, and the jars are “Made of lead-free durable glass”. The labels are “waterproof and tear-resistant”: 340 preprinted, 46 blank, with a chalk marker and a numbered catalogue to find the label you want. What the listing does not give is a jar volume or jar dimensions, so you cannot check in advance whether a favourite spice will fit in one jar or need two.
It names the most places to put it, and the dimensions disagree slightly. The title lists “Cabinet, Countertop, Pantry, Cupboard or Door & Wall Mount”, but the bullets do not say whether wall or door hardware is included. The size bullet gives “13.4″W × 10.8″H × 4.4″D”; the spec table gives about 13.33 by 10.5 by 4.33 inches. The difference is under a third of an inch in any direction, but on a cupboard shelf with tight headroom, plan for the larger figures. At 4.4 inches deep, it fits inside most wall cabinets with plenty of room in front.
What to weigh. The model number is GBDPZ-4T, different from both other SpaceAid listings on this page, so it is a separate product, not a relisting. No warranty is stated. If you want jars, labels and a rack in one box and would rather buy what other shoppers are buying, this is the set; if you need wall hardware included or stated jar sizes, the SWOMMOLY answers both.
Pros
- Best rank of the jar sets: #5 in Spice Racks
- Sloped tiers keep labels in view
- Sift-and-pour lids with metal airtight caps
- 386 labels, chalk marker, silicone funnel
- Credible listed weight: 9.7 lb
- Most mounting places named
Cons
- Jar size not stated
- Wall or door hardware not stated
- Dimensions differ slightly between fields
- Fewer jars than the SWOMMOLY
- No cabinet size named
- No warranty stated
Best for: A cupboard shelf or worktop where a ready-filled, labelled set of 28 jars should go in on day one.
9. AOZITA Spice Rack Organizer with 28 Empty Spice Jars, Funnel and Labels — Slimmest Jar Set

The narrowest jar set front to back, with carry handles, and the least specific listing of the three.
Key Specifications
| Type | 4-tier rack with jars, grid shelves |
|---|---|
| Stated jar capacity | 28 jars, included |
| Jars included | Yes: 28 clear glass jars, size not stated |
| Size | 13.5 x 3.75 x 10 in |
| Space it needs | Not stated |
| Material | Rack material not stated; glass jars, metal outer lids |
| Mounting | Countertop or cabinet; carry handles; wall not stated |
| Also in box | Funnel; labels (count not stated) |
| Listed weight | 9.0 pounds |
| Warranty | Not stated |
| Model | ASR-28J-B |
| Best Sellers Rank | #15,913 overall; #126 in Spice Racks |
Why We Recommend It
This is the slimmest of the jar sets. “13.5 x 3.75 x 10 inches”, against 4.4 inches deep for the SpaceAid and 4.7 inches for the SWOMMOLY. A rack 3.75 inches deep leaves the most room in front of it on a cupboard shelf, and the 10-inch height is the lowest of the three. It carries the same 28 jars as the SpaceAid in a slightly smaller box, and it lists 9.0 pounds, a credible figure for a loaded rack.
It is the only rack built to be picked up. “Moreover, the integrated carry-handles make it easy to move the entire rack as needed”. That suits a cook who keeps spices in a cupboard and brings the whole set to the worktop while cooking, which is a different habit from a wall rack or a drawer. The shelves use a grid: “Its grid shelf design ensures stability and prevents jars from falling through”, built with “wider and stronger rods”.
The listing never says what the rack is made of. Rods suggest metal, and the photos may make it obvious, but no bullet or spec field names a material or a finish. The SpaceAid set says powder-coated steel and the SWOMMOLY says powder-coated alloy steel. Nor does the listing give a label count, a jar size or a jar volume. The jar lids are described well: “The inner lid allows for sifting and pouring, providing controlled dispensation of spices. The airtight metal outer lid safeguards your spices from moisture, air, and dust”.
It does not mention a wall. The title names “Countertop, Cabinet, Kitchen, Pantry, Cupboard”. With carry handles and no mounting hardware described, treat it as a freestanding rack only. If you want a jar set on a wall, the SWOMMOLY is the one that includes the hardware.
What to weigh. It ranks #15,913 overall and #126 in Spice Racks. The model number is ASR-28J-B, and the seller at capture was ORANGE Inc. No warranty is stated. Choose it over the SpaceAid only if the extra 0.65 inches of shelf depth it saves, by our arithmetic, or the carry handles matter to you; otherwise the SpaceAid says more and sells better.
Pros
- Slimmest jar set: 3.75 in deep
- Lowest jar set: 10 in high
- Carry handles to move the whole rack
- Grid shelves stop jars falling through
- Sift lids with airtight metal outer lids
- Credible listed weight: 9.0 lb
Cons
- Rack material not stated
- Label count not stated
- Jar size not stated
- No wall mounting mentioned
- Weaker rank than the SpaceAid set
- No warranty stated
Best for: A shallow cupboard shelf where the whole set comes out to the worktop while you cook.
10. Xpatee 2-Tier Foldable Metal Spice Rack Organizer for Countertop, Black — Best Foldable

A two-tier countertop stand that folds and goes together without screws, and gives no capacity or load at all.
Key Specifications
| Type | 2-tier countertop stand, foldable |
|---|---|
| Stated jar capacity | Not stated |
| Jars included | No, “Rack only” |
| Size | 15.8 x 7.9 x 11.8 in |
| Space it needs | Not stated |
| Material | Metal, “rust-proof”, spiral coating |
| Mounting | Freestanding; anti-slip padded feet |
| Assembly | No screws; detachable for cleaning |
| Listed weight | Field not credible; not printed |
| Warranty | Not stated |
| Model | Field reads “Spice Rack” |
| Best Sellers Rank | #14,180 overall; #112 in Spice Racks |
Why We Recommend It
This is the simplest rack on the page, and the least specific. Two mesh shelves on a metal frame: “15.8 x 7.9 x 11.8 inches, 2 tier capacity is excellent for the kitchen and saves space, which can accommodate more spice bottles or other things.” It gives no jar count, no shelf load and no cabinet size. At 11.8 inches tall, it is the tallest freestanding rack without jars here, which suits bottles of oil and vinegar as well as spice jars.
It is clear about what is in the box. “Note: Rack only. Pictured jars, spices or other items are not included.” Several racks here show jars in their photos without saying whether they come with it; this listing settles the question. Assembly is tool-free: “Our counter spice rack organizer is assembly finished in one minute than others, whom need the screws. And it is detachable easily for daily cleaning”. The title calls it foldable, which makes it the one rack here that can be put away flat.
The design details are about stopping things falling. “Compared to other spice racks, the Xpatee kitchen spice rack has extra guardrails, preventing items from falling in the front row when you pick them up. The spice storage board adopts a grid design.” The feet are padded: “The Anti-Slip padded feet of this storage spice rack keeps it from moving or slipping”. The metal is described as “rustproof and durable with the latest spiral coating technology”, which is a finish claim rather than a named metal.
Two fields cannot be used. The weight field gives a figure far too small for a metal rack, so we do not print it, and the model field reads only “Spice Rack”, which identifies nothing. No warranty is stated. At 7.9 inches front to back, it fits on most worktops and inside many base cabinets, but the listing does not say whether it suits a cabinet height, so measure the 11.8 inches against your shelf spacing first.
What to weigh. It ranks #14,180 overall and #112 in Spice Racks. For a worktop stand that folds away, it does the job the listing describes; if you want to know how much it holds before you buy, the GOENDR and Zri step shelves give more numbers, and the Bunoxea gives a load per rack.
Pros
- Folds and comes apart without tools
- Clear that jars are not included
- Guardrails on the front edge
- Mesh shelves stop small jars tipping
- Anti-slip padded feet
- Tall enough for oil bottles: 11.8 in
Cons
- No jar count
- No load figure
- Weight field not credible
- Model field identifies nothing
- Metal type not named
- No warranty stated
Best for: An open worktop beside the hob that needs a stand for spices and oils, put away when not in use.
Jars Counted, Inches Stated
A spice rack has to answer two questions: how much will it hold, and where will it go. The table below sets the two answers side by side for all ten, exactly as each listing gives them. A blank in either column is a sum you will have to do yourself.
| Rack | Type | Jar figure stated | Jars in box | Space it says it needs | Own size |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SpaceAid drawer insert | Drawer insert | Up to 48 | No | Drawer at least 3 in deep | 17 x 12–23 x 1.4 in |
| SpaceAid pull-out | Pull-out | Not stated | Not stated | Cabinet 12 in tall, 10.60 in deep | 7.6 x 10.6 x 9.6 in |
| GOENDR 3-tier | Step shelf | Not stated; 6–8 oz jars | Not stated | Fits 9.25 in deep cabinet | 16–29 (or 29.5) x 9.25 x 5.5 in |
| Zri bamboo 3-tier | Step shelf | Not stated | Not stated | Not stated | 12.70–22.20 x 7.70 x 4.30 in |
| Bunoxea 4-pack | Wall rails | Jars up to 2 in | No | Flat wall or door | 11.41 x 2.75 x 2.75 in each |
| Sevenblue 4-pack | Magnetic shelves | Up to 12 per shelf | Not stated | Magnetic surface | 11.8 x 3.94 x 2.94 in each |
| SWOMMOLY | Rack with jars | 36 (included) | Yes, 4 oz | Not stated | 16.5 x 4.7 x 12.6 in |
| SpaceAid 28 jars | Rack with jars | 28 (included) | Yes | Not stated | 13.4 x 4.4 x 10.8 in |
| AOZITA | Rack with jars | 28 (included) | Yes | Not stated | 13.5 x 3.75 x 10 in |
| Xpatee 2-tier | Countertop stand | Not stated | No (rack only) | Not stated | 15.8 x 7.9 x 11.8 in |
Only one rack answers both questions in numbers. The SpaceAid drawer insert gives a jar figure, up to 48, and a space figure, a drawer at least 3 inches deep. The pull-out and the GOENDR state the space and not the jars. The Sevenblue states the jars and only a surface type for the space. The three jar sets count the jars they ship and name no cupboard, shelf or wall size. The Zri and the Xpatee answer neither.
A count of included jars is not a capacity. A rack sold with 28 jars holds 28 of those jars; whether it holds 28 of yours depends on whether yours are the same size. Only the SWOMMOLY says what size its jars are, 4 ounces and 1.8 by 4.1 inches. If you already own jars, the racks that state a limit in inches are more use to you than those that state a count: the Bunoxea’s “jars up to 2″”, the Zri’s 2.28 to 2.56 inch shelves and the GOENDR’s 2.55 inch tiers, and the pull-out’s 2-inch-wide drawers.
A rack’s own size is not the space it needs. A tiered rack that is 10.8 inches high needs more than 10.8 inches of cupboard, because you have to lift the jars out over the top tier. A drawer insert that is 1.4 inches high needs a 3-inch drawer, because the jars rise above it. Where the listing names the space, as three do, the sum has been done for you. Where it does not, add a margin above for your hand and the lids.

Shelf Run, the Number Nobody Prints
The most comparable way to size racks without a stated jar count is the total length of shelf or rail they give you. None of the listings prints that figure. The table multiplies each listing’s stated tier or rail length by its stated number of tiers or pieces. The last column is our arithmetic, and it ignores the frame, so treat it as a ceiling, not a promise.
| Rack | Length per tier or piece | Tiers or pieces | Total shelf run (ours) |
|---|---|---|---|
| SpaceAid drawer insert | 12–23 in | 4 tiers | About 48–92 in |
| GOENDR 3-tier | 16–29 in | 3 tiers | About 48–87 in |
| Zri bamboo 3-tier | 12.70–22.20 in | 3 tiers | About 38–67 in |
| Sevenblue 4-pack | 11.8 in | 4 shelves | About 47 in |
| Bunoxea 4-pack | 11.41 in | 4 rails | About 46 in |
| Xpatee 2-tier | 15.8 in overall | 2 tiers | About 32 in |
The expanding racks lead, but only at full stretch. The drawer insert and the GOENDR both reach close to 90 inches of shelf when fully open, about twice what the four-piece wall and fridge sets give. Closed, they fall to about 48 inches, level with the Sevenblue and Bunoxea. The expansion is only useful if the cupboard or drawer is wide enough to take it.
Shelf run turns into jars at your jar width. At 2 inches a jar, 46 inches of rail is about 23 jars, by our arithmetic; at 1.8 inches, the SWOMMOLY’s jar width, about 25. That is why the Sevenblue’s 12 jars per 11.8-inch shelf implies small jars or two rows, and why the drawer insert’s 48 jars sits comfortably only at its wider settings. Measure one of your jars across, divide it into the shelf run, and you have a better capacity figure than most listings give.
The pull-out and the jar sets are left out on purpose. The pull-out stores jars front to back in narrow drawers, so its capacity depends on jar diameter along the 10.6-inch depth, not a shelf length. The jar sets are sized for the jars they ship with, and the tier length is not stated separately for any of them.
Material, Mounting and the Warranty Nobody Gives
Once a rack fits and holds enough, what it is made of and how it stays put decide how long it lasts in a kitchen. Here is each listing’s material, fixing and load, in its own words, and the warranty column.
| Rack | Material | Mounting | Load stated | Warranty |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SpaceAid drawer insert | Solid bamboo | Sits in drawer | Not stated | Not stated |
| SpaceAid pull-out | Bamboo, ball-bearing glides | Sits in cabinet; clears lip | Not stated | Not stated |
| GOENDR 3-tier | Powder-coated metal | Freestanding; wall (no hardware stated) | 5 kg per tier | Not stated |
| Zri bamboo 3-tier | Moso bamboo | Freestanding, horizontal only | Not stated | Not stated |
| Bunoxea 4-pack | Powder-coated metal | Adhesive or screws, both included | 20 lb per rack | Not stated |
| Sevenblue 4-pack | ABS plastic | Magnets | 6 lb per shelf | Not stated; 24-hour response promise |
| SWOMMOLY | Powder-coated alloy steel | Counter, cabinet or wall; hardware included | Not stated | Not stated |
| SpaceAid 28 jars | Powder-coated steel | Counter, cabinet, door or wall (no hardware stated) | Not stated | Not stated |
| AOZITA | Not stated | Countertop or cabinet; carry handles | Not stated | Not stated |
| Xpatee 2-tier | Metal, coated | Freestanding; anti-slip feet | Not stated | Not stated |
Three listings give a load, and they are not alike. The Bunoxea gives 20 pounds per rack, the GOENDR 5 kg per tier, about 11 pounds by our arithmetic, and the Sevenblue 6 pounds per shelf. The first is a screwed or stuck rail, the second a shelf standing on a cupboard floor, the third a magnet on a fridge door. The magnet’s figure is the one to treat most carefully, because it also depends on the steel it sticks to.
Three listings say the wall is an option, and one includes the hardware. The SWOMMOLY says mounting hardware is included. The Bunoxea includes both adhesive pads and screws. The SpaceAid 28-jar set and the GOENDR name a wall without describing any fixings. A rack loaded with glass on a wall needs fixings matched to the wall behind it, so ask before you rely on what is in the box.
No warranty is stated on any of the ten. The only reference to after-sales support is the Sevenblue’s promise of a solution within 24 hours, which is a response time with no period attached. The silence is understandable on a bamboo shelf; it is more notable on the racks that fix to walls and doors and hold glass. Amazon’s own return window applies to all of them, but anything beyond that is between you and the seller.
Bamboo and steel ask for different care. The Zri listing says to wipe it with a damp cloth, dry it and never put it in a dishwasher or soak it. The steel racks rely on powder coating; a chip in the coating near a sink or a steamy hob is where rust starts. The Sevenblue’s ABS cannot rust, which is one reason plastic suits a fridge door.
Three SpaceAid Listings, Three Model Numbers
Three of the ten racks come from SpaceAid. When one brand appears several times in a roundup, it is worth checking whether the listings are the same product sold under different titles. These are not.
| Field | Drawer insert | Pull-out | 28-jar set |
|---|---|---|---|
| Model | XLCT-Cl-4C12 | 12XLHG-01ZZ-222X2 | GBDPZ-4T |
| Type | Drawer insert | Pull-out | Tiered rack with jars |
| Material | Bamboo | Bamboo | Powder-coated steel |
| Size | 17 x 12–23 x 1.4 in | 7.6 x 10.6 x 9.6 in | 13.4 x 10.8 x 4.4 in |
| Jars | Up to 48, not included | Not stated | 28 included |
| Space stated | 3 in deep drawer | 12 in tall, 10.60 in deep cabinet | Not stated |
| Rank | #9 in Spice Racks | #4 in Pull-Out Organizers | #5 in Spice Racks |
Three model numbers, three products. They share a brand and, in two cases, a material, but nothing else. The two SpaceAid listings that state the space they need are the bamboo ones; the steel jar set does not. Elsewhere on the page, the SWOMMOLY and the SpaceAid 28-jar set both ship 340 preprinted labels, but with different blank counts, jar counts and model numbers, so they look like the same kit format from different makers rather than one product. Two listings, the Bunoxea and the Xpatee, put the words “spice rack” or “Spice Rack” in their model fields, and the Sevenblue puts “1”, which leaves nothing to compare.

Best Alternatives
If none of the ten suits your kitchen, these are the other ways to solve the same problem.
| Alternative | Why Consider It | Better For | Main Trade-Off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lazy Susan turntable | Spins the back of a cupboard to the front without any fitting | Corner cabinets and deep shelves | Round footprint wastes the cupboard’s corners |
| Door-mounted shelf rack | Uses the back of a pantry or cupboard door | Kitchens with no spare drawer or wall | Door must be solid enough and close with jars on it |
| Magnetic tins on a steel board | Flat, shallow, and visible from across the room | Small spice amounts and open walls | Lids and magnets vary; light-sensitive spices sit in view |
| Labelled jars in a plain drawer | No insert at all; jars lie flat with labels on the lids | Deep drawers and jars of one size | Jars roll and shift without dividers |
A turntable is the closest rival to a step shelf in a deep cupboard, and suits a corner where a straight shelf leaves dead space. For the cupboard under the sink, where a sliding unit does a similar job to the SpaceAid pull-out, see our under sink organizer guide.
What the Step Up Buys
Without prices, the useful way to think about spending more is what each step adds in specification.
From a plain stand to a measured shelf. The Xpatee and Zri are the simplest: a frame and shelves. The Zri adds a stated shelf depth; the GOENDR adds a tier depth, a load per tier and a named cabinet depth. You are buying numbers you can check against your kitchen.
From a shelf to a fixing. The Bunoxea and Sevenblue move spices off the shelf altogether, onto a wall, a door or a fridge, and state a load per piece. The Bunoxea adds a second mounting method; the Sevenblue removes the need for tools.
From a rack to a kit. The three jar sets add 28 or 36 glass jars, labels, a funnel and, on two of them, sift lids with airtight metal caps. The SWOMMOLY adds stated jar sizes and wall hardware. A kit is worth it if you are replacing mismatched supermarket jars; it is wasted if you like the jars you have.
From a rack to a mechanism. The SpaceAid pull-out adds ball-bearing, full-extension glides, the only moving part on the page. That is what lets every jar in a deep upper cabinet come out to you, and it is why the listing is so specific about the cabinet it needs.
What to Check Before You Buy
Measure the Space, Then Add Clearance
Measure the inside of the drawer, cupboard or wall you plan to use: height, width and depth. For a drawer, measure from the drawer floor to the underside of whatever sits above it. For a cupboard, measure from the shelf to the shelf above, and check hinges and door dampers at the front edge. Then add room for your hand and for jar lids. The SpaceAid drawer insert needs a 3-inch drawer for a 1.4-inch insert; that gap is the clearance the other listings leave you to work out.
Measure One of Your Jars
If you are keeping your own jars, measure one across and from base to lid. Compare the width with the Bunoxea’s 2-inch limit, the pull-out’s 2-inch drawers, and the 2.28 to 2.56 inch shelves on the Zri and 2.55 inch tiers on the GOENDR. Compare the height with the cupboard clearance above the top tier.
Read a Jar Count as a Maximum
Up to 48 jars on the drawer insert and 12 per shelf on the Sevenblue are maximums at unstated jar sizes. On the drawer insert, the figure suits the widest settings. Divide the shelf run by your jar width for a more honest number.
Check What Jars Come in the Box
Three listings include jars: SWOMMOLY 36, SpaceAid 28 and AOZITA 28. Two say plainly that jars are not included: the drawer insert and the Xpatee. The rest do not say, so photos with jars on them are not a promise.
Match the Mounting to Your Surface
Adhesive needs a flat, smooth surface; screws need something solid behind them; magnets need properly magnetic steel. The Bunoxea’s note, to avoid screws on thin or hollow surfaces and adhesive on uneven ones, applies to every wall or door rack. Test a fridge with any magnet before buying the Sevenblue.
Keep Spices Away From Heat and Light
Ground spices lose flavour faster when warm, damp or in strong light. A drawer or closed cupboard is the kindest home. If the only free wall is over the hob, a door rack or a cupboard shelf is a better choice than the convenience of having jars in reach of the steam.
Ask About Anything the Listing Leaves Out
No listing here states a warranty. Several leave out the material, the load, the wall hardware or the jar size. If one of those decides your purchase, ask the seller before you buy; the gaps on this page are the questions to ask.

Common Mistakes
- Reading included jars as capacity. A 28-jar set holds 28 of its own jars; only the SWOMMOLY says its jars are 4 oz and 1.8 in wide.
- Measuring the drawer front, not the drawer. The SpaceAid insert needs 3 in of usable depth inside, and 17 in front to back.
- Buying a cabinet rack that matches your cabinet exactly. The pull-out is 10.6 in deep for a 10.60 in cabinet; one hinge in the way and it will not sit flush.
- Assuming every fridge holds a magnet. The Sevenblue is rated 6 lb per shelf on a magnetic surface; some fridge sides and steel finishes are weakly magnetic.
- Using adhesive on tile or textured paint. The Bunoxea warns against adhesive on uneven surfaces and screws on thin or hollow ones.
- Expecting the 48-jar figure in a narrow drawer. At 12 in wide, four tiers give about 48 in of shelf, by our arithmetic, roughly an inch a jar.
- Mounting a loaded jar set without asking about hardware. Only the SWOMMOLY says its wall hardware is included; the SpaceAid 28-jar set names a wall and lists none.
- Assuming a warranty. None of the ten states one; the Sevenblue offers a 24-hour response promise, not a period of cover.
Who Should Buy Which
Buy the SpaceAid Bamboo Drawer Insert if you have a spare drawer near the hob. It is the only listing that names the drawer depth it needs, at least 3 inches, and it states up to 48 jars across a width of 12 to 23 inches. Check the drawer runs at least 17 inches front to back, and bring your own jars.
Buy the SpaceAid Bamboo Pull-Out if you have a standard upper cabinet 12 inches tall and 10.60 inches deep. Full-extension ball-bearing glides bring the back row to you. Accept that it gives no jar count and that its 2-inch drawers will not take wide jars.
Buy the GOENDR 3-Tier Expandable if your cabinet is at least 9.25 inches deep and wide enough to use the stretch. It gives a tier depth, 2.55 inches, and a load, 5 kg per tier. Plan for 29 inches as its maximum, not 29.5, and ask about wall hardware if you want it on a wall.
Buy the Zri Bamboo 3-Tier if you want a light bamboo step shelf for a standard cupboard. At 7.7 inches deep it suits shallower cupboards, and its 2.28 to 2.56 inch shelves are stated. Accept that it gives no load or jar count and must lie flat.
Buy the Bunoxea Wall Mounted 4-Pack if your cupboards are full and you have a door or wall. Adhesive or screws, 20 pounds per rack and four hooks. Your jars must be 2 inches across or less.
Buy the Sevenblue Magnetic 4-Pack if you rent, have a small kitchen and a properly magnetic fridge. The best rank here, 12 jars per shelf stated and no tools. Keep each shelf under its 6-pound limit.
Buy the SWOMMOLY with 36 Jars if you are starting from scratch and want it on a wall. The most jars, a stated 4 oz jar size and mounting hardware in the box. Accept the weakest rank here and a weight field you cannot use.
Buy the SpaceAid with 28 Jars if you want a ready-made set and would rather buy the popular one. The best-ranked jar set, with sloped tiers, sift lids and 386 labels. Ask about hardware before wall mounting.
Buy the AOZITA with 28 Jars if your cupboard shelf is shallow and you carry spices to the worktop. The slimmest set at 3.75 inches deep, with carry handles. Accept that the rack material and label count are not stated.
Buy the Xpatee 2-Tier if you want a worktop stand that folds away. Tool-free, guardrailed, rack only. Accept that it gives no capacity, no load and no usable weight.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best spice rack?
It depends on where it will go, and the listing that tells you most about fit is the SpaceAid Bamboo Spice Drawer Organizer. It is the only one of the ten here that names the space it needs, a drawer at least 3 inches deep, and it also states a capacity of up to 48 jars across a width that expands from 12 to 23 inches. If you do not have a spare drawer, the choice changes. For a standard 12-inch-tall upper cabinet, the SpaceAid pull-out names the cabinet it needs. For a wall or door, the Bunoxea rails state 20 pounds per rack and come with both adhesive and screws. For a fridge, the Sevenblue magnetic shelves hold the best rank on the page. If you want jars included, the SWOMMOLY ships 36 at a stated 4 ounces with wall hardware. None of the ten states a warranty.
What is the best spice rack organizer for a cabinet?
For a standard upper cabinet, the SpaceAid Bamboo Pull-Out is the most specific: it is recommended for cabinets 12 inches tall and 10.60 inches deep, and its full-extension ball-bearing glides bring every jar out to the front. The catch is that the rack is also 10.6 inches deep, so there is no spare depth, and the listing gives no jar count; its three drawers are 2 inches wide. For a deeper base or pantry cabinet, the GOENDR 3-tier step shelf names a size that fits a 9.25-inch-deep cabinet, expands from 16 to 29 inches, and states 2.55-inch tiers and 5 kg per tier. For a shallower cupboard, the Zri bamboo step shelf is 7.7 inches deep with stated 2.28 to 2.56 inch shelves. Measure height, width and depth inside the cabinet, then check hinges and door dampers at the front edge before you order.
What is the best spice drawer organizer?
The SpaceAid Bamboo Spice Drawer Organizer is the only drawer insert among the ten, and it is unusually clear about fit. It needs a drawer at least 3 inches deep once jars are on it, it runs 17 inches front to back, and it expands from 12 to 23 inches wide. The insert itself is 1.4 inches high; the extra depth is for the jars, which lie back on four angled tiers. It states a capacity of up to 48 jars, which by our arithmetic suits the wider settings: at 23 inches, four tiers give about 92 inches of tier, a little under 2 inches per jar at 48 jars. Jars are not included and the jar size behind the 48 figure is not stated, so measure one of your jars across before you count on it. It is solid bamboo with no fixing; it sits in the drawer.
What is the best wall mounted spice rack?
The Bunoxea Wall Mounted 4-Pack gives the most mounting detail of any rack here. Each powder-coated metal rail is 11.41 inches long, holds jars up to 2 inches across behind a raised guardrail, and is stated to hold up to 20 pounds. It comes with adhesive pads for a drill-free mount on flat, smooth surfaces and screws for a fixed one, and the listing warns against screws on thin or hollow surfaces and adhesive on uneven ones. Four sliding hooks take small tools. If you want jars included on a wall, the SWOMMOLY is the only jar set that says mounting hardware is in the box, with 36 glass jars of a stated 4 ounces. The SpaceAid 28-jar set and the GOENDR shelf also say they can go on a wall, but neither describes the fixings, so ask the seller first.
Are magnetic spice racks safe on a refrigerator?
They can be, within their stated limits and on the right surface. The Sevenblue magnetic shelves state up to 6 pounds per shelf, which is the lowest per-piece load on this page, and up to 12 jars per shelf. Glass jars add up quickly, so a full shelf of large glass jars can approach that figure. The other limit is the fridge. A magnet holds best on flat, bare steel. Some fridge doors have a thin steel skin, some sides are partly covered by panels, and some stainless finishes are only weakly magnetic or not magnetic at all. Test the spot with any ordinary magnet first. Keep heavy jars on the lower shelves, avoid placing shelves where a door swing will jolt them, and check that the shelf does not slide down when loaded. The Sevenblue listing also names microwaves, washing machines and doors as possible surfaces, wherever there is magnetic steel.
Do spice racks come with jars?
Some do, and the listings are not always clear. Of the ten here, three say jars are included: the SWOMMOLY with 36 glass jars, the SpaceAid with 28 and the AOZITA with 28. Only the SWOMMOLY gives the jar size, 4 ounces and 1.8 by 4.1 inches. Two listings say plainly that jars are not included: the SpaceAid drawer insert, in its title, and the Xpatee countertop stand, which says rack only. The Bunoxea lists its contents without jars. The rest, the pull-out, both step shelves and the Sevenblue, do not say either way, so product photos showing jars are not a promise. If you want matching jars, a set is the simplest route; if you like the jars you already own, buy a rack that states a jar width limit or shelf depth and measure one jar across before you order.
How deep should a spice drawer be?
For an angled drawer insert like the SpaceAid, at least 3 inches of usable depth, which is the figure the listing states once jars are on the insert. The insert is only 1.4 inches high, but the jars lie back on the tiers and rise above it. Measure from the floor of the drawer to the underside of whatever sits above it, not the height of the drawer front, which is usually taller than the space inside. If your jars are larger than standard, allow more. The insert also needs 17 inches front to back and between 12 and 23 inches side to side. For jars standing upright in a plain drawer, the depth you need is the height of your tallest jar plus room for your fingers; the SWOMMOLY’s jars, for example, are 4.1 inches tall. A shallow drawer is better suited to an angled insert than to upright jars.
Do any spice racks come with a warranty?
None of the ten listings here states a warranty. The nearest thing is the Sevenblue magnetic rack’s after-sale guarantee, which promises to provide a solution within 24 hours if you contact the seller with a problem. That is a response time, and the listing does not say how long after purchase it applies. The other nine say nothing about warranty or guarantee terms at all. Amazon’s standard return window still applies to purchases, and sellers may offer support when asked, but nothing on these pages commits them to it. The gap matters most on racks that hold glass on a wall, a door or a fridge, where a failure is a mess rather than a minor annoyance. If a warranty matters to you, ask the seller before buying and keep the answer in writing through Amazon’s messaging.
Final Verdict
The only stated fit, a 3-inch-deep drawer, plus up to 48 jars across 12 to 23 inches of width.
36 jars at a stated 4 oz, 396 labels, a powder-coated steel rack and mounting hardware in the box.
#2 in Spice Racks, 12 jars and 6 lb per shelf stated, no tools and no cupboard space used.
Ten spice racks, six kinds of product, and almost none of them answers both questions a buyer has. Five state a jar count, and three of those are counting the jars in the box. Three state the space they need. Only the SpaceAid drawer insert does both, with up to 48 jars and a drawer at least 3 inches deep. None states a warranty.
The numbers that do the work are inches. A drawer depth, a cabinet height and depth, a shelf depth, a jar width limit. Those are the figures you can take to your own kitchen with a tape measure, and they decide whether a rack fits before capacity even comes into it. A jar count only means something once you know the jar size, and only the SWOMMOLY tells you that.
So start with the space. Measure the drawer, cupboard, wall or fridge you plan to use, add clearance for your hand and the lids, and choose the type of rack that suits it. Then measure one of your jars, or buy a set that tells you its jar size. Check the mounting against your surface, and ask the seller about anything the listing leaves out.
If you buy one spice rack from this page, make it the SpaceAid Bamboo Spice Drawer Organizer: the only listing that tells you exactly what drawer it needs, with a stated 48-jar capacity and a width that adjusts from 12 to 23 inches. If you have no spare drawer, the SWOMMOLY is the most complete wall or worktop kit, and the Sevenblue is the budget answer for a magnetic fridge.
