Coil Stoves Go Unnamed by Every Best Non Stick Stovetop Griddle

Most people shopping for a nonstick stovetop griddle are not cooking on gas. They have an electric range: exposed coils, or a smooth glass-ceramic top with radiant elements under it, or induction. Those three hobs ask different things of a griddle, and an electric one asks most of all that the base sits flat on the element. So we read all ten listings for one thing: what each says about electric stoves.

Not one of the ten names an electric coil. The word does not appear in any title, bullet or spec field. Four listings say “electric” without saying which kind: the NutriChef, both Vayepro griddles and the Nordic Ware. Two of those four, the Vayepros, are the only griddles on the page that name a glass top, in their titles: “Nonstick Stovetop Griddle for Gas & Glass Cooktops”.

Three more cover electric by a blanket statement. GreenPan and Blue Diamond each say “all stovetops, except induction”. All-Clad says “compatible with any stovetop including induction”, and it is the only listing of the ten that says yes to induction. Five say no to it outright. The other three listings, the Imusa, the SENSARTE and the OXO, never say which kind of hob they suit. The Imusa does not name a heat source of any kind.

Flatness is the second half of the question, and four listings address it. Both Vayepros lead with “Will Not Warp” and an 18-rib grid on the underside. All-Clad credits a stainless-steel base with “warp resistance”. Blue Diamond says its “Heavy-duty base prevents warping, wobbling, or degrading over time.” The other six say nothing about how their bases behave when they get hot. No listing promises in so many words that its base is flat.

Size is the third thing, and it cuts the other way. Eight of the ten are double-burner griddles, from the Nordic Ware’s 10 by 16.5 inch cooking surface to the NutriChef’s 24-inch length. On an electric range, a griddle that spans two elements gets heat where the elements are and much less in the strip between them. Aluminium spreads heat sideways better than most metals, and all ten bodies here are aluminium, but no listing claims to close that gap on an electric hob. Only two griddles here, the Blue Diamond and the OXO, are 11-inch single-burner squares.

Put the three filters together and the page narrows fast. One griddle covers electric hobs by its wording, makes a warping claim and sits on one element: the Blue Diamond. Three double-burner griddles cover electric and make a warp claim: the two Vayepros, which name glass, and the All-Clad, which names induction. The best-ranked griddle on the page, the NutriChef at #3,420 overall, says “electric” and makes no flatness claim at all.

This guide sorts the ten by how clearly each listing answers the electric-stove question, then by coating, oven limit and care. Coating claims are quoted word for word; we make no health claims of our own. Star ratings and review counts were not captured for this roundup, so popularity below is Amazon’s Best Sellers Rank only.

All ten were captured on 5 October 2026, in stock and new. Their overall Best Sellers Ranks run from #3,420 to #26,021.

Best Sellers Ranks and specifications are taken from each manufacturer’s Amazon listing as displayed on 5 October 2026 through a United States connection, and may change. “Hobs Named” quotes each listing’s own scope. No listing names an electric coil. “Glass” appears only in the two Vayepro titles. “All except induction” and “any stovetop” are blanket statements that take in electric hobs without naming them. Sizes are as stated: the Nordic Ware and Imusa figures are the cooking surfaces their bullets give; the NutriChef gives a length only in its title and fields, with an 11.62 inch width field; the All-Clad’s spec fields give 11.0 x 11.0 x 4.93 inches, which cannot describe a 13 x 20 inch griddle and is left aside. “Warp Claim” is the listing’s wording; no listing says its base is flat. Ranks are overall Best Sellers Ranks as returned on 5 October 2026; nine of ten also rank in Griddles, the All-Clad in Grill Pans. Seven were sold by Amazon.com at capture. Star ratings and review counts were not captured for any product here.

How We Chose These Ten

We researched current listings, compared manufacturer specifications and documentation, and read every title, bullet and spec field for what it says about hob type, size, flatness, coating and oven use. We did not carry out hands-on testing, and nothing below is presented as measured performance data. Star ratings and review counts were not captured for this roundup. We used Amazon Best Sellers Rank, buy-box stock and listing specifications instead, and nothing on this page describes or implies how owners have scored these griddles.

  • Nonstick flat griddles for the hob — every product here is a coated griddle pan sold for stovetop use, single-burner squares and double-burner plates. Two carry a ridged grill section or face as well as a flat one. Bare cast iron, carbon steel and plug-in electric griddles were not in the running.
  • New units only — every buy box was a new product, in stock on amazon.com, on 5 October 2026.
  • Hob types recorded exactly as worded — “electric”, “glass”, “coil” and “induction” were logged only where a listing uses them, and blanket phrases such as “all stovetops, except induction” were logged as blanket phrases. A hob type the listing does not mention is marked not stated.
  • Flatness and warping as claimed — we recorded every claim about warping, wobbling or the base, with its wording, and marked the rest not stated. Silence on warping is not evidence of a problem; it is simply not a promise.
  • Coatings quoted word for word — ceramic, PTFE and PFAS wording is reproduced as the listing prints it. We add no health claims of our own and do not assess the ones listings make.
  • Oven limits as stated only — a temperature appears on this page only where the listing gives one. Six of ten give none.
  • Implausible fields set aside — where a weight or dimension field cannot describe the product, we say so and do not rely on it. Where two fields conflict, we report both. Any area or conversion on this page is labelled as our arithmetic.
  • Popularity from Best Sellers Rank only — ranks are quoted as returned on 5 October 2026, overall and in the category Amazon assigned. Ranks move constantly.

Why We Recommend It

For an electric range, this is the listing that answers the most questions. It says “WIDE COMPATIBILITY: Suitable for all stovetops, except induction.” That covers exposed coils and glass-ceramic tops without naming either, and it rules induction out plainly, which is more useful than silence. Then it makes a base claim: “DURABLE CONSTRUCTION: Heavy-duty base prevents warping, wobbling, or degrading over time.” Of the four warping claims on the page, this is the only one that also mentions wobbling, which is how a warped base shows itself on a smooth-top hob.

The size is the other half of the case. It is an “11″ Griddle Pan”, a square that sits over one element. On an electric range, heat comes from the element under the pan and from nowhere else, so a pan sized to one element avoids the cool strip that forms between two. An 11-inch square works out at 121 square inches, our arithmetic, against about 260 for the double-burner Vayepro, so you trade surface for evenness. For two eggs, a grilled cheese or a short stack of pancakes, the trade usually favours the square; for breakfast for six, it does not.

The coating claims are quoted here in full. “DIAMOND INFUSED CERAMIC NONSTICK: Our signature diamond-infused ceramic nonstick is 5x harder and 10x longer lasting than traditional coatings.” The listing does not say which traditional coatings, or how the figures were measured. “TOXIN-FREE: Free of PFAS, PFOA, lead, and cadmium for healthier cooking.” Those are the listing’s words, and we neither repeat the health part as fact nor assess it. It is one of three listings here, with the GreenPan and the OXO, that use the term PFAS.

It is unusually relaxed about utensils. “METAL UTENSIL SAFE: Durable surface allows use of metal utensils without damage.” It is the only listing on the page that says so. All-Clad asks for silicone, nylon or wood, and Nordic Ware warns against sharp utensils. Even so, a metal edge dragged hard across any coating does it no favours, and a silicone or nylon turner costs nothing in performance on a pan this size; our spatula for griddle roundup covers the options.

It has the highest oven figure on the page. “VERSATILE USE: Oven and broiler safe up to 600°F for flexible cooking options.” Only four listings give an oven limit at all, and this is the highest of them. The handle is “Riveted stainless steel”. The spec fields read 19.13 inches high, 3.23 inches long and 11.34 inches wide, which reads like the overall length with handle, the depth and the width filed under the wrong labels; we take 19.13 inches as the likely overall length and suggest you allow for it on a crowded hob.

What to weigh. It is sold by Amazon.com and ranks #5,650 overall and #10 in Griddles, second on the page behind the NutriChef. No warranty is stated. If your hob is induction, it is ruled out by its own listing; the All-Clad is the only griddle here that says induction. If you need a double-burner plate, the Vayepro is the one that names glass tops.

Pros

  • All stovetops except induction, stated
  • Base claim covers warping and wobbling
  • Single burner avoids a cool middle strip
  • Oven and broiler safe up to 600°F
  • Metal utensil safe, the only one stated
  • Sold by Amazon.com; #5,650 overall

Cons

  • Not for induction, by its own listing
  • 11 in square; 121 sq in by our arithmetic
  • 5x and 10x claims not explained
  • Spec dimension fields mislabelled
  • No warranty stated
  • Long handle on a crowded hob

Best for: A coil or glass-top cook who mostly makes breakfast for one or two and wants the clearest electric-stove wording on the page.

2. Vayepro 2-Burner Griddle Pan, 22 Inch Nonstick Stovetop Griddle for Gas & Glass Cooktops — Best Double Burner for Glass Tops

Long black rectangular nonstick griddle with raised edges and a handle at each end, seen from above

One of two listings to name a glass cooktop, and it builds its pitch around not warping.

Key Specifications

Burners Double; 22 x 11.8 x 1.5 in (bullet); 22 x 12 x 1.77 in (spec fields)
Hobs named Gas and glass cooktops (title); gas and electric stove (bullet)
Induction Should not be used on induction burner, stated
Warp claim “Will Not Warp”; 18 ribs on the back in a grid
Coating Ceramic; “completely free of PTFE & PFOA”
Body Aluminum
Oven limit Not stated
Care Dishwasher safe; gentle wiping
Policy 30-day return; 12-month free replacement
Seller Vayepro Store
Best Sellers Rank #16,222 overall; #22 in Griddles

Why We Recommend It

Glass is in the title, which no griddle outside this brand manages. “22 Inch Nonstick Stovetop Griddle for Gas & Glass Cooktops”. The first bullet adds “Work on both gas and electric stove” and then a plain exclusion: “NOTE: Stovetop griddle should not be used on induction burner”. For a smooth-top owner that is the clearest yes-and-no on the page. Coil hobs are not named, but “electric stove” takes them in.

The warping claim comes with a mechanism. “Will Not Warp: This stove top griddle has 18 ribs on the back of the griddle… which are distributed in a grid. This patented design ensures the griddle pan will not warp due to uneven heating.” Ribs stiffen a thin aluminium plate in the way a corrugated sheet is stiffer than a flat one, and uneven heating is exactly what a griddle across two elements gets. The listing does not say whether the ribs or the plate between them is what rests on a glass top, or how much of the base touches the glass. On a radiant glass hob, contact is how most of the heat gets in, so that is a fair question to put to the seller.

The size is generous and the fields agree within a quarter inch. The bullet gives “22’’x11.8‘’x1.5’’” and says the size “has been upgraded and is now larger than before”. The spec fields give 22 by 12 by 1.77 inches. That is about 260 square inches of outline, by our arithmetic, among the largest on the page. On an electric range, a plate this long will reach well past a single element, so plan on a hot zone over each element and a cooler one between. The same is true of every double-burner griddle here, and it is a reason to use the cooler middle for holding food rather than cooking it.

The coating wording is specific. “PTFE & PFOA-free: The coat of the griddle is ceramic. It completely free of PTFE & PFOA.” The second bullet calls it a “Non-stick & Non-Rust Coating”. The underside is described as having “A shallow patterned corrugation that contributes to non-sticking”, though that sentence sits in the cleaning bullet. Care is short: “cleaned with just gentle wiping”, or the dishwasher. The listing does not mention utensils, so the general rule for nonstick applies: wood, silicone or nylon, and no long empty preheat on high.

It is light by design. “Made of high-quality aluminum, this griddle is lighter in weight and easier to carry than traditional cast-iron cookware.” No weight is given. The listing pitches it for “indoor and outdoor cooking” and “comal para tortillas, pancakes, grilled cheese sandwiches”. No oven limit is stated, so treat it as a hob-only pan.

What to weigh. It is sold by Vayepro Store and ranks #16,222 overall and #22 in Griddles. It comes with “a 30-day return policy and a 12-month free replacement policy”, one of only five listings here with any warranty or replacement promise. The version with a glass lid is the same griddle by every figure, from a different seller.

Pros

  • Glass cooktops named in the title
  • Will Not Warp claim with an 18-rib grid
  • Induction ruled out plainly
  • Ceramic coat stated free of PTFE and PFOA
  • About 260 sq in outline by our arithmetic
  • 12-month free replacement policy

Cons

  • Spans two elements; cool strip between them
  • Base contact on glass not described
  • Oven use not stated
  • No weight stated
  • Sold by Vayepro Store, not Amazon.com
  • Utensil guidance not stated

Best for: A glass-top owner who wants a long double-burner plate and a written warping claim, and accepts a cooler middle.

3. All-Clad HA1 Expert Nonstick, 13"x20" Double Burner Griddle Pan — Best for Induction

Large black hard anodized rectangular griddle with low sides and riveted stainless steel handles

The only griddle of ten that says induction, and the only one that names PTFE.

Key Specifications

Burners Double; 13 x 20 in
Hobs named Any stovetop including induction
Warp claim Stainless-steel base for “warp resistance”
Coating PTFE nonstick, stated
Body Hard anodized aluminum with stainless-steel base
Oven limit Oven safe up to 500°F
Utensils Silicone, nylon or wooden advised
Care Dishwasher safe; soap and sponge advised to preserve nonstick
Listed weight 4.97 pounds
Warranty Limited Lifetime Warranty
Seller Amazon.com
Best Sellers Rank #19,720 overall; #15 in Grill Pans

Why We Recommend It

If your electric hob is induction, this is the only listing on the page that says yes. “Oven safe up to 500°F and compatible with any stovetop including induction.” Five of the other nine rule induction out in words and four never mention it. The reason is in the construction bullet: “Scratch resistant, hard anodized aluminum is reinforced with an optimized stainless-steel base for improved durability, warp resistance and even, consistent heat.” Aluminium is not magnetic, so an induction hob cannot heat it directly; a steel base gives the coil something to work on. That is general physics rather than a listing claim, but it explains why the one induction griddle here is the one with a steel base.

It is also one of four with a warping claim. The same bullet credits the steel base with “warp resistance”. On induction, flatness matters as much as on glass: the coil heats what is directly above it, and a base that lifts off the glass heats poorly in that spot. A long plate across two induction zones also heats in two patches unless your hob has a bridge or flexible zone. Our induction griddle pan roundup goes into zone layout in detail.

The coating is PTFE, and the listing says so. “Experience the ultimate cooking convenience at home with easy to clean long-lasting PTFE nonstick that delivers professional performance.” It is the only listing of the ten to name PTFE as its coating; six name ceramic, and three do not name a material. The care advice is the most careful here: “Dishwasher safe. To preserve the nonstick, wash your cookware with a soap and sponge, and use silicone, nylon or wooden utensils.” The general advice for any nonstick coating applies too: moderate heat, and no long empty preheat on high.

The size is stated in the title, and the spec fields do not match it. The title and size field say 13 by 20 inches, 260 square inches by our arithmetic. The spec fields give 11.0 by 11.0 by 4.93 inches, which cannot describe a 13 by 20 inch griddle and may be a packaging figure; we set it aside. The listed weight is 4.97 pounds. The first bullet sells it as “a time-saving solution for busy mornings or entertaining a sizable group”, which is what a 13 by 20 inch plate is for.

The paperwork is the fullest on the page. “Designed in Canonsburg, PA – USA, Made in China. Limited Lifetime Warranty.” Handles are “double riveted stainless steel”. The 500°F oven limit is second only to the Blue Diamond’s 600°F among the four that state one.

What to weigh. It is the most expensive griddle here, sold by Amazon.com, and ranks #19,720 overall and #15 in Grill Pans; it is the only one of the ten that Amazon does not rank in Griddles. If you cook on coil or glass and want ceramic, the Vayepro and Blue Diamond fit better. If you cook on induction and want a nonstick griddle, nothing else on this page claims to work.

Pros

  • Induction stated, the only one here
  • Stainless-steel base for warp resistance
  • Oven safe up to 500°F
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty
  • 13 x 20 in surface for a crowd
  • Sold by Amazon.com

Cons

  • PTFE coating, if you want ceramic
  • Non-metal utensils advised
  • Spec dimension fields do not match the title
  • Two induction zones may heat in two patches
  • Premium end of the page
  • Ranked in Grill Pans, not Griddles

Best for: An induction cook who wants a large nonstick griddle with induction, warp resistance and a warranty in writing.

4. Vayepro 2-Burner Griddle Pan with Glass Lid, Nonstick Stovetop Griddle for Gas & Glass Cooktops — Best with a Lid

Long black nonstick double burner griddle with a clear glass lid resting on top

The ribbed Vayepro again, with a glass lid in the box and a slightly softer coating sentence.

Key Specifications

Burners Double; 22 x 11.8 in (bullet); 22 x 12 x 1.77 in (title)
Hobs named Gas and glass cooktops (title); gas and electric stovetops (bullet)
Induction Should not be used on induction burner, stated
Warp claim “Will Not Warp”; 18 ribs on the back in a grid
Coating Ceramic; “It is not contain PTFE”
Included Glass lid
Oven limit Not stated
Care Dishwasher safe
Policy 30-day return; 12-month replacement
Seller CukAid LLC
Best Sellers Rank #23,356 overall; #28 in Griddles

Why We Recommend It

This is the same griddle as the Vayepro above, by every figure the two listings give. The title says “Nonstick Stovetop Griddle for Gas & Glass Cooktops” and gives “22″L x 12″W x 1.77″Th”. The first bullet repeats the 18-rib claim: “This patented design ensures the pan will not warp due to uneven heating. Size: 22’’ x 11.8‘’ to Work on both gas and electric stovetops. Note: Griddle should not be used on induction burner”. For a glass-top owner, the hob answer is identical: glass named, electric named, induction excluded.

The lid is the difference. “Griddle Pan with Glass Lid: Our griddle pan set comes with a durable glass lid to prevent messy splatters and maintain more consistent heat distribution for perfectly cooked meals every time”. On an electric range, a lid has a practical use beyond splatter: it holds heat over the cooler strip between two elements, which helps cheese melt on a sandwich or eggs set on top. It does not make the strip as hot as the zones over the elements. The listing gives no size or weight for the lid, and says nothing about whether it is oven-safe.

The coating sentence is weaker than its twin’s. The heading reads “NO PTFE & PFOA”; the text says “The coat of the griddle is ceramic. It is not contain PTFE”. The other Vayepro listing says the coat is “completely free of PTFE & PFOA” in its body text. The two are probably the same coating, but if PFOA wording matters to you, this listing mentions it only in the heading. It also calls the surface a “Non-stick & Non-Rust Coating”.

Everything else follows the first listing. Aluminium body, “lighter in weight and easier to carry than traditional cast-iron cookware”, no weight stated. Dishwasher safe, or “cleaned with just gentle wiping”. The handle “allows for easy hanging when not in use”. No oven limit, no utensil guidance, so treat it as hob-only and keep metal off the coating. The replacement policy is “a 30-day return policy and a 12-month replacement policy”, where the lidless listing says free replacement.

What to weigh. It is sold by CukAid LLC, not by Vayepro or Amazon.com, and ranks #23,356 overall and #28 in Griddles. If you already own a lid that covers a 22-inch plate, or will not use one, the lidless Vayepro is the same griddle from the brand’s own store. If you want the lid, this is the only griddle here that comes with one.

Pros

  • Glass lid included, the only one here
  • Glass cooktops named in the title
  • Will Not Warp claim with an 18-rib grid
  • Induction ruled out plainly
  • Ceramic coat, no PTFE stated
  • Dishwasher safe

Cons

  • Sold by CukAid LLC, a third party
  • PFOA mentioned only in a heading
  • Lid size and oven use not stated
  • Oven limit not stated
  • Spans two elements; cool middle strip
  • No weight stated

Best for: A glass-top owner who wants the ribbed 22-inch Vayepro and a lid to hold heat over the middle of the plate.

Seller Amazon.com
Best Sellers Rank #12,560 overall; #18 in Griddles

Why We Recommend It

It is one of four listings that say “electric” in words. “For use on gas or electric stoves and grills, not compatible with induction stoves.” That is a clear scope: coil or glass, by implication, and not induction. It does not name glass, and it makes no warping claim, so on the flatness half of the electric question the listing is silent.

The uncoated back is the most useful detail on the listing. “Because the back side is uncoated, this griddle transitions with ease to camp stoves, grills, RVs, and even campfires to cook up delicious fare.” No other listing tells you what is on the underside. It matters on a hob too: the underside is what touches a coil or a glass top, and a bare aluminium base will not shed coating onto the element. The trade-off is that bare aluminium discolours with flame and heat, which is cosmetic.

It gives the most careful size statement here, in three versions. “This griddle measures 10.1 x 17.5 inches with a cooking surface of 10 x 16.5 inches with a 1 inch thick edge.” The title says 10.3 by 17.4 inches; the size field says 17.5 by 10.1 by 1 inch; the spec fields say 16.5 by 9.875 inches, close to the cooking surface. The 10 by 16.5 inch surface is 165 square inches, by our arithmetic, the smallest of the eight double-burner plates. That is no bad thing on an electric range: the shorter the plate, the less of it hangs between the elements.

The coating and care wording is plain. “Ceramic nonstick helps with simple clean-up; do not use metal scouring pads, abrasive cleaners or sharp cooking utensils as they will scratch the nonstick surface”. It does not say whether the griddle is dishwasher safe, and it gives no oven limit. Grills and campfires are named; the oven is not.

The weight field cannot be right. It gives a figure far below anything an aluminium griddle of this size could weigh, so we leave it out. The body is “durable formed aluminum”, and the listing says the griddle is “Made In America of domestic & imported materials.” The spec fields give a release date in 2005, the oldest on the page, and a 5 year warranty.

What to weigh. It is sold by Amazon.com and ranks #12,560 overall and #18 in Griddles. It is the only double-burner griddle here that both names electric stoves and states a multi-year warranty. If you want a written warping claim, the Vayepro has one; if you also cook on a grill or at a campsite, this is the listing that says its back can take it.

Pros

  • Gas or electric stoves named
  • Induction ruled out plainly
  • Uncoated back for grills and campfires
  • 10 x 16.5 in surface, shortest double here
  • 5 year warranty
  • Made in America, stated

Seller Amazon.com
Best Sellers Rank #3,420 overall; #4 in Griddles

Why We Recommend It

This is the most popular griddle on the page, and it is not a plain griddle. It ranks #3,420 overall and #4 in Griddles, well ahead of the Blue Diamond in second. The title calls it a “Nonstick Double Burner Grill & Griddle Combo, Ridged & Flat Surfaces”, and the first bullet says “This griddle pan has a flat and ridged surface, perfect for searing, frying, and grilling.” The listing does not say how the plate is split between the two, or whether they sit side by side or on opposite faces. If you want the full length for pancakes, ask before you buy.

It names electric in two places. “BUILT FOR GAS & ELECTRIC STOVETOPS – Designed for versatility, this aluminum griddle pan is compatible with both gas and electric stovetops.” The last bullet calls it “A must-have griddle for electric and gas stove tops”. It does not say coil or glass, and it does not mention induction either way. For an aluminium pan with no stated steel base, induction is unlikely to work, but the listing leaves that for you to infer.

The flatness half of the question goes unanswered. There is no warping claim, no base description and no thickness. The listing claims it “heats evenly across the surface for reliable, consistent results”, but at 24 inches it is the longest griddle here, and on an electric range that length reaches well past two elements. Even, on electric, will mean two hot zones and a cooler strip between them. The spec fields give a height of 0.09 inches, which cannot be the pan’s overall height and may be a wall or plate figure; the listing does not say, and we do not rely on it.

The coating is not named. “NON-STICK & EASY TO CLEAN – With a Non-Stick coating, this stovetop griddle ensures easy food release and fast cleanup. It’s a non-stick griddle pan for stove top that resists staining and is dishwasher safe.” No material, no PTFE, ceramic or PFAS wording. It is one of three listings, with the Imusa and the SENSARTE, that leave the coating chemistry unstated.

The handles and ridges are its selling points. “Riveted Bakelite handles stay cool and provide a secure grip”, and “The high ridges on this grill and griddle combo lock in flavor & drain away excess fat.” Bakelite handles are a reason the listing gives no oven figure, though it does not say so. The release date in the spec fields is February 2026, the newest on the page.

What to weigh. It is sold by Amazon.com and has no stated warranty. Its rank shows how many people buy it; it does not show how it behaves on a glass top. If you want a grill-and-griddle pan for a gas or electric range and value the ridges, it is the popular choice. If you want a flat griddle with a warping claim for an electric hob, the Vayepro or the Blue Diamond answers more of your questions.

Pros

  • #3,420 overall, best rank by far
  • Gas and electric stovetops named twice
  • Flat and ridged surfaces in one pan
  • Riveted cool-touch Bakelite handles
  • Dishwasher safe
  • Sold by Amazon.com

Cons

  • No warping or base claim
  • Coating material not stated
  • Split between flat and ridged not described
  • Induction and oven not stated
  • 24 in reaches well past two elements
  • Height field not credible

Best for: A gas or electric cook who wants a grill-and-griddle combo in one long pan and is happy with the most popular choice.

7. GreenPan 18" x 11" Ceramic Nonstick Double Burner Griddle Pan, Oxford Blue — Best Ceramic Double Burner

Dark blue rectangular ceramic nonstick griddle pan with riveted stainless steel handles at each end

Blanket electric coverage, the most careful PFAS wording here, and the lowest stated oven limit.

Key Specifications

Burners Double; 18 x 11 in surface, spans two burners
Size 18 x 11 x 2 in
Hobs named All stovetops, except induction
Warp claim Not stated
Coating Diamond-infused ceramic nonstick
PFAS wording “made without intentionally added PFAS”
Body Heavy-duty aluminum
Oven limit Oven and broiler safe up to 350°F
Care Dishwasher safe
Listed weight About 5.6 pounds, rounded from the listed field
Seller Amazon.com
Best Sellers Rank #17,003 overall; #23 in Griddles

Why We Recommend It

It covers electric hobs the same way the Blue Diamond does. “BUILT FOR OVEN COOKING: Oven and broiler safe up to 350°F and suitable for all stovetops, except induction.” Coil and glass are included without being named; induction is ruled out. Unlike the Blue Diamond, it makes no claim about warping or its base, and it is a double-burner plate: “18”x 11” surface area spans two burners on the oven and has room to accommodate large family feasts.” That is 198 square inches, by our arithmetic.

Its PFAS sentence is the most carefully worded on the page. “PFAS-FREE CERAMIC NONSTICK: Nonstick coating is made without intentionally added PFAS”. Blue Diamond and OXO say their coatings are “Free of PFAS”; GreenPan says without intentionally added PFAS, which is a claim about what was put in rather than what might be found. We report both wordings and assess neither. The coating is “GreenPan’s original diamond-infused nonstick coating”, which the listing says “offers remarkable durability, balanced heating, and effortless cleanup”. For more on ceramic coatings, see our ceramic non stick frying pan guide.

The oven limit is the lowest stated here. 350°F is low for a pan sold under a heading that says “BUILT FOR OVEN COOKING”, and the same bullet says broiler safe to that figure. The Blue Diamond says 600°F, the All-Clad 500°F and the OXO 430°F. If you finish things in the oven, read 350°F as a firm ceiling.

It is the heaviest griddle with a listed weight. 5.6 pounds, rounded from the listing’s field, against 4.97 for the All-Clad, 2.6 for the Imusa and 2.16 for the Blue Diamond. The body is “heavy-duty aluminum construction” that the listing says gives “quick and even heating every single time”. More aluminium spreads heat further from the elements, though on an electric range no listing claims it erases the gap between them. The 2-inch height in the size field is taller than most here, which suggests raised sides.

The rest is straightforward. “The riveted stainless steel handles offer a sturdy, comfortable grip”, and the pan is “dishwasher safe for easy cleanup, but most messes will wipe clean”. No utensil guidance is given, so the general nonstick rule applies.

What to weigh. It is sold by Amazon.com and ranks #17,003 overall and #23 in Griddles. No warranty is stated. If ceramic wording and weight matter more than a warping claim, it suits a coil or glass range; if the oven is part of the plan, the 350°F limit is the catch.

Pros

  • All stovetops except induction, stated
  • Made without intentionally added PFAS, stated
  • 5.6 lb, the heaviest listed weight
  • 18 x 11 in, 198 sq in by our arithmetic
  • Riveted stainless steel handles
  • Sold by Amazon.com

Cons

  • Oven and broiler limit 350°F, lowest here
  • No warping or base claim
  • Not for induction
  • Spans two elements on electric
  • No warranty stated
  • Utensil guidance not stated

Best for: A coil or glass-top cook who wants a heavy ceramic double-burner plate and rarely uses the oven.

Body Hard anodized
Oven limit Oven safe up to 430°F/220°C
Care Dishwasher safe
Listed weight 2.62 pounds
Seller Amazon.com
Best Sellers Rank #8,368 overall; #13 in Griddles

Why We Recommend It

Ten bullets, and not one names a stovetop. The OXO listing covers coating, construction, handles, oven limit, cleaning and heat distribution. It never says gas, electric, glass, coil or induction, and it never says all stovetops. For a buyer with an electric range, that is the main thing to know about it. It is the third-best rank on the page, #8,368 overall, so plenty of people are buying it without that answer.

The format suits an electric hob anyway. It is an “11″ Griddle Pan”, one of only two single-burner squares here, with the Blue Diamond. A pan sized to one element avoids the cool strip a double-burner plate gets between two. The spec fields give 19.29 by 11.33 by 3.14 inches, the length including the handle. Hard anodized aluminium is not magnetic, and the listing mentions no steel base, so do not expect it to work on induction; the listing does not say either way.

The coating claims, word for word. The title says “PFAS-Free Ceramic Nonstick”. The bullets say “DIAMOND-REINFORCED CERAMIC: Premium ceramic nonstick coating enhanced with diamonds for exceptional durability and food release” and “TOXIN-FREE COOKING: Free of PFAS, PFOA, lead, and cadmium for healthier meals and peace of mind”. Those are OXO’s words; we add no health claim of our own. The free-of list matches the Blue Diamond’s exactly.

The construction is the step up from the Blue Diamond. “HARD-ANODIZED CONSTRUCTION: Excellent heat conduction and scratch resistance for long-lasting use”. Hard anodizing hardens the aluminium surface; the listing ties it to scratch resistance and conduction, not to flatness, and makes no warping claim. It promises “EVEN HEAT DISTRIBUTION: Ensures consistent cooking results across the entire pan surface”. The oven limit is “Oven safe up to 430°F/220°C”, below the Blue Diamond’s 600°F and the All-Clad’s 500°F. The listing says nothing about metal utensils, so keep to wood, silicone or nylon.

What to weigh. It is sold by Amazon.com and ranks #8,368 overall and #13 in Griddles. The listed weight is 2.62 pounds, a little more than the Blue Diamond’s 2.16. No warranty is stated. Against the Blue Diamond, it adds hard anodizing and drops the hob statement, the warping claim and 170°F of oven limit. If your hob is coil or glass, the Blue Diamond answers in writing what this one leaves to assumption.

Pros

  • Single burner suits one electric element
  • PFAS-free ceramic wording in the title
  • Hard anodized for scratch resistance, stated
  • Oven safe up to 430°F/220°C
  • #8,368 overall, third here
  • Sold by Amazon.com

Cons

  • No stovetop type named anywhere
  • Induction not stated
  • No warping or base claim
  • Utensil guidance not stated
  • No warranty stated
  • 11 in surface only

Best for: A one-burner cook who wants a hard-anodized ceramic square and will confirm hob compatibility with OXO.

9. Imusa Double Burner Griddle Non-Stick 20-Inch, Black — Best Budget

Black rectangular nonstick double burner griddle with low sidewalls and chrome side handles

A budget double-burner plate whose listing does not name a single heat source.

Key Specifications

Burners Double; 19 x 12 in cooking surface
Size as stated 20 x 12 in (size field); 19 x 11.65 x 1.1 in (spec fields)
Hobs named Not stated
Induction Not stated
Warp claim Not stated
Coating “Coated nonstick surface”; material not stated
Body Aluminum; iron chrome handles
Oven limit Not stated
Listed weight 2.6 pounds
Warranty 30 days
Seller Amazon.com
Best Sellers Rank #13,811 overall; #20 in Griddles

Why We Recommend It

This listing never says what it can be heated on. Five bullets describe the surface, the handles, the food and the occasions. None names gas, electric, glass, coil, induction or even a stovetop; only the title’s “Double Burner” tells you it belongs on a hob. For an electric-range buyer, it is the least informative listing on the page.

The size is stated clearly enough. “COOKING SURFACE: The 19×12 inches size offers generous cooking space, allowing you to prepare multiple ingredients at once”. That is 228 square inches, by our arithmetic. The title calls it 20-inch and the size field “20″ x12″”; the spec fields give 19 by 11.65 by 1.1 inches. Like every double-burner plate, on electric it will heat over each element and run cooler between them.

The coating is described, not named. “Made of aluminum for durability and even heat distribution, featuring a coated nonstick surface for easy cleanup”. There is no material, no PTFE or ceramic wording and no free-of claim. The listing does not say whether it is dishwasher safe, and gives no utensil guidance, so the general rule applies: wood, silicone or nylon, hand washing, and no high heat on an empty pan.

The sidewalls are its practical feature. “This lightweight double burner has dual side iron chrome handles, a nonstick surface for easy cleanup, even heat distribution, and sidewalls to prevent spills and enable drip-free pouring.” Sidewalls keep pancake batter and bacon fat on the plate. The listing pitches it for “warming tortillas, making quesadillas, fajitas, French toast, grilled cheese sandwiches, pancakes”, the light work a thin aluminium plate does well. The listed weight is 2.6 pounds, the lightest double-burner plate with a usable figure.

What to weigh. It is the lowest-priced griddle on the page, sold by Amazon.com, and ranks #13,811 overall and #20 in Griddles. Its release date in the spec fields is 2008, so it has been on sale for a long time. The stated warranty is 30 days, the shortest of the five that give one. If you cook on gas, the hob question matters less; if you cook on a glass top, ask Imusa before you buy.

Pros

  • 19 x 12 in surface, 228 sq in by our arithmetic
  • Sidewalls prevent spills
  • Iron chrome side handles
  • 2.6 lb, light to lift
  • Sold by Amazon.com
  • Budget double burner

Cons

  • No heat source named at all
  • Coating material not stated
  • No warping claim
  • Dishwasher and oven not stated
  • Warranty 30 days
  • Three slightly different size figures

Best for: A gas-hob cook on a budget who wants a light double-burner plate with sidewalls for tortillas and pancakes.

10. SENSARTE Nonstick Griddle Grill Pan, Pro-Grid Reversible, Two Burner Cast Aluminum, 19.5" x 10.7" — Best Reversible

Black rectangular reversible cast aluminium pan showing a ribbed grill face, with handles at each end

A reversible flat and ribbed plate that says stovetop and camping, and gives two weights.

Key Specifications

Burners Double; fits over two stovetop burners
Size 19.5 x 10.7 in
Surfaces Reversible: flat griddle one side, ribbed grill the other
Hobs named Indoor stovetop; type not stated
Induction Not stated
Warp claim Not stated
Coating Switzerland ILAG stone nonstick coating
Free-of claims PFOA, PFOS, APEO, stated
Body Cast aluminum
Listed weight 4.4 lbs (bullet); 2.7 pounds (spec fields)
Care Dishwasher safe
Seller sensarte
Best Sellers Rank #26,021 overall; #33 in Griddles

Why We Recommend It

Its hob statement stops at the word stovetop. The title says “Portable for Indoor Stovetop or Outdoor Camping BBQ”, and a bullet says it “fits over two stovetop burners”. It does not say electric, glass, coil or induction. That puts it with the Imusa and the OXO among the three listings that leave the electric question unanswered.

The reversible design raises a question the listing does not address. “Reversible Grill & Griddle – This stone cookware is reversible. One side is flat griddle, you can cook pancakes or sandwiches on it, and the other is ribbed grill, it’s best for grilling steaks or veggies.” On a coil or glass hob, whichever face is down is the face touching the element. Cooking on the griddle side puts the ribbed side on the hob, so only the tops of the ribs make contact; on a glass top that limits the contact radiant heat depends on, and a coated face resting on a hot element is not something the listing comments on. On gas, where the flame does the work, this matters much less.

The coating is named by supplier. “Stone Non-Stick Coating -Switzerland ILAG nonstick coating, non-toxic, free of PFOA PFOS APEO, safe and healthy.” Those are the listing’s words; we make no health claim. It does not say ceramic or PTFE, so it joins the NutriChef and Imusa as a listing that does not name the coating chemistry. It does not use the term PFAS.

The two weight figures disagree. “Lightweight & Great Size – Weight-4.4lbs, Size-19.5″*10.7″.” The spec fields say 2.7 pounds. The listing does not explain the difference; one may be a shipping weight. The body is “cast aluminum, which is more durable and sturdy”, and cast aluminium is usually thicker than formed or pressed sheet, but no thickness is given. The listing claims “excellent heat retention and distribution”. The 19.5 by 10.7 inch size works out at about 209 square inches, our arithmetic.

It has a grease trap. “This griddle pan features grease trap and hanging hole design. The grease trap is well for drippings or scrapings”. Cleaning is “just wipe it with a paper towel or rinse it with water. Dishwasher safe.” No oven limit and no utensil guidance are given.

What to weigh. It is sold by sensarte and ranks #26,021 overall and #33 in Griddles, the lowest rank on the page. No warranty is stated. If you cook on gas or at a campsite and want one pan with a grill face and a griddle face, it is the reversible option here. On a glass top, a single-faced griddle with a stated electric scope is the safer bet.

Pros

  • Reversible flat and ribbed faces
  • Cast aluminium body
  • ILAG coating; PFOA, PFOS, APEO free, stated
  • Grease trap and hanging hole
  • Dishwasher safe
  • Indoor stovetop and camping named

Cons

  • Hob type not stated
  • Ribbed underside on a glass top limits contact
  • Weight 4.4 lb or 2.7 lb, by field
  • No warping claim
  • Oven and induction not stated
  • Lowest rank here, #26,021

Best for: A gas-hob or camping cook who wants a single cast aluminium pan with both a grill face and a griddle face.

What Each Listing Tells an Electric Stove Owner

The secondary searches behind this page, the best griddle for an electric stove and the best stovetop griddle for an electric stove, come down to three questions a listing can answer: which electric hobs it covers, whether its base stays flat, and how many elements it spans. Here is every listing’s answer, in its own words where it gives one.

Griddle Electric wording Glass named Coil named Induction Warp or base claim Burners
Blue Diamond All stovetops, except induction No No No, stated Prevents warping, wobbling Single
Vayepro 22-inch Gas and electric stove Yes, title No No, stated Will Not Warp, 18 ribs Double
All-Clad HA1 Any stovetop including induction No No Yes, stated Warp resistance, steel base Double
Vayepro with lid Gas and electric stovetops Yes, title No No, stated Will Not Warp, 18 ribs Double
Nordic Ware Gas or electric stoves No No No, stated Not stated Double
NutriChef Gas and electric stovetops No No Not stated Not stated Double
GreenPan All stovetops, except induction No No No, stated Not stated Double
OXO Enhanced Not stated No No Not stated Not stated Single
Imusa Not stated No No Not stated Not stated Double
SENSARTE Stovetop, type not stated No No Not stated Not stated Double

Coil: zero of ten. Not one listing uses the word. Four say “electric”, the NutriChef, both Vayepros and the Nordic Ware, and that takes in coil hobs without naming them. Two more, the GreenPan and the Blue Diamond, cover them with “all stovetops, except induction”, and the All-Clad with “any stovetop”. That is seven of ten that cover a coil range in some form of words, and three, the OXO, the Imusa and the SENSARTE, that do not.

Glass: two of ten, and both from one brand. The Vayepro titles say “Gas & Glass Cooktops”. No other listing uses the word glass for a hob, though the five blanket and electric statements take glass tops in. One oddity is worth knowing if you search by your hob type: six listings on this page use the word ceramic, and every one of them means the coating. Not one uses it for a glass-ceramic hob.

Induction: one yes, five no, four silent. The All-Clad says yes and has the stainless-steel base to explain it. The Vayepros, the Nordic Ware, the GreenPan and the Blue Diamond say no in words. The NutriChef, the OXO, the Imusa and the SENSARTE say nothing; all four describe aluminium bodies with no steel base, so induction is unlikely, but that is our inference.

Warping: four of ten make a claim, and none says flat. The two Vayepros and the All-Clad are double-burner plates; the Blue Diamond is a single square. Three of the four explain their claim with a mechanism: ribs on the Vayepros, a steel base on the All-Clad, a heavy-duty base on the Blue Diamond. No listing gives a flatness tolerance or says its base sits flat on a glass top. A warping claim is the closest thing to that promise on this page.

The filters overlap on four griddles. Only the Blue Diamond covers electric hobs, makes a warping claim and sits on one element. The two Vayepros and the All-Clad cover electric hobs and make a warping claim across two. Everything else misses at least one of the three.

A kitchen with dark cabinets and a gas cooktop
Across two electric elements, a griddle heats in two patches; eight of these ten span two.

A Double Burner on an Electric Stove Heats in Two Patches

Eight of the ten griddles here span two burners. On a gas hob, flames spread heat under a griddle fairly widely, and our stovetop griddle for gas stoves guide looks at how burner spacing plays out there. On an electric hob, the picture is different, and none of these listings addresses it. This section is general guidance rather than a listing claim.

Heat goes where the element is. A coil or a radiant element under glass heats the part of the pan directly above it, by contact and radiation. A double-burner griddle laid across two elements gets two hot patches with a band between them that is heated only by what the metal conducts sideways. Aluminium conducts heat well, which helps, and a thicker or heavier plate spreads more; but on a long, thin plate the middle will usually run cooler than the zones over the elements.

Front-to-back elements are not always matched. Many electric ranges pair a larger element with a smaller one on each side. Turn both to the same setting and the larger one usually puts out more heat, so the griddle is uneven before the gap between them is even considered. Setting the larger element a little lower, or giving the plate several minutes at medium to even out, is the usual workaround.

Contact matters more on glass. A radiant glass top transfers much of its heat through contact. A base that rocks, bows or sits on ribs touches the glass in fewer places, and those places run hotter. That is why the four warping claims on this page matter more to a glass-top owner than to anyone else, and why a griddle that wobbles when you press one corner is worth returning.

Check your range manual. Some glass-top manufacturers advise against pans that overhang an element by a large margin, or against bridging two elements with one pan, because trapped heat can stress the glass or trip the element’s limiter. That is a rule of the hob, not the griddle, and it varies by model.

Use the cool band on purpose. On any double-burner plate on electric, cook over the elements and hold finished food in the middle. Pancakes and eggs over the hot zones, toast and cooked bacon in the band between. A lid, as on the second Vayepro, helps keep held food warm.

Or choose a single square. The Blue Diamond and the OXO are 11-inch squares that sit over one element. They avoid the gap entirely, at the cost of surface: 121 square inches each against about 260 for the Vayepro or the All-Clad, our arithmetic. If you need a large flat surface with its own heat source, a plug-in griddle sidesteps the hob altogether; our electric griddle roundup covers those.

Six Ceramic, One PTFE, Three Unnamed

Nonstick is the defining feature of this category, and the listings describe their coatings in very different detail. Here is each coating claim word for word. We make no health claims of our own and do not assess the ones quoted.

Griddle Coating as named Free-of wording, verbatim
Vayepro 22-inch Ceramic “It completely free of PTFE & PFOA”
Vayepro with lid Ceramic “NO PTFE & PFOA” (heading); “It is not contain PTFE”
GreenPan Diamond-infused ceramic “made without intentionally added PFAS”
Blue Diamond Diamond-infused ceramic “Free of PFAS, PFOA, lead, and cadmium for healthier cooking”
OXO Enhanced Diamond-reinforced ceramic “Free of PFAS, PFOA, lead, and cadmium for healthier meals and peace of mind”
Nordic Ware Ceramic None given
All-Clad HA1 PTFE None given
SENSARTE Switzerland ILAG, “Stone” “free of PFOA PFOS APEO”
NutriChef “Non-Stick coating” None given
Imusa “coated nonstick surface” None given

Six say ceramic. Three of them, GreenPan, Blue Diamond and OXO, add diamonds to the description, and those same three are the only listings to use the term PFAS. Their wording differs: Blue Diamond and OXO say “Free of PFAS”, GreenPan says “made without intentionally added PFAS”.

One says PTFE. The All-Clad states “long-lasting PTFE nonstick” and pairs it with the most detailed care advice on the page. PTFE is the conventional nonstick coating; the listing makes no free-of claim and we make none on its behalf.

Three do not name a material. The NutriChef and the Imusa describe a nonstick coating without saying what it is. The SENSARTE names a supplier, Switzerland ILAG, and calls it stone, without saying ceramic or PTFE. If coating chemistry is your deciding factor, those three listings do not give you enough to decide.

Durability claims are the listings’ own. Blue Diamond says its coating is “5x harder and 10x longer lasting than traditional coatings”, without saying which coatings or how it was measured. All-Clad says long-lasting. GreenPan says “remarkable durability”. None of these can be checked from the page.

Oven Limits, Utensils and Care, as Stated

Most nonstick griddles live on the hob, but some buyers want to finish a frittata in the oven, and every buyer has to clean the thing. Here is what each listing commits to.

Griddle Oven limit Utensils Dishwasher Warranty or policy
Blue Diamond 600°F, oven and broiler Metal utensil safe Yes Not stated
All-Clad HA1 500°F Silicone, nylon or wooden Yes; soap and sponge advised Limited Lifetime Warranty
OXO Enhanced 430°F/220°C Not stated Yes Not stated
GreenPan 350°F, oven and broiler Not stated Yes Not stated
Nordic Ware Not stated No sharp utensils Not stated 5 year
Vayepro 22-inch Not stated Not stated Yes 12-month free replacement
Vayepro with lid Not stated Not stated Yes 12-month replacement
NutriChef Not stated Not stated Yes Not stated
SENSARTE Not stated Not stated Yes Not stated
Imusa Not stated Not stated Not stated 30 days

Four give an oven limit, and they run from 350°F to 600°F. The other six say nothing, which means treating them as hob-only. The GreenPan’s 350°F is the figure to watch: it sits under a heading that says “BUILT FOR OVEN COOKING”, and it is low enough to matter for roasting.

Only one listing says metal utensils are fine. Blue Diamond says so outright. All-Clad asks for silicone, nylon or wood, and Nordic Ware warns against sharp utensils, metal scouring pads and abrasive cleaners. The other seven are silent. The general guidance for any nonstick coating, unless the listing says otherwise, is to use wood, silicone or nylon, avoid preheating an empty pan on high, cook at low to medium heat, and let the pan cool before washing. A thin, flexible turner is the best match for a flat griddle.

Eight say dishwasher safe. All-Clad adds that soap and a sponge preserve the nonstick, which is the general advice for any coating whatever the dishwasher claim. Imusa and Nordic Ware do not say.

Eggs, bacon and beans on a white plate
Only one listing here says metal utensils are safe; wood, silicone or nylon suit the rest.

Popularity Does Not Follow the Electric Wording

Star ratings were not captured for this roundup, so the only popularity measure here is Amazon’s Best Sellers Rank, as returned on 5 October 2026. Ranks move constantly; read the order, not the precise numbers.

Griddle Overall rank Category rank Electric wording Warp claim
NutriChef #3,420 #4 in Griddles Gas and electric No
Blue Diamond #5,650 #10 in Griddles All except induction Yes
OXO Enhanced #8,368 #13 in Griddles Not stated No
Nordic Ware #12,560 #18 in Griddles Gas or electric No
Imusa #13,811 #20 in Griddles Not stated No
Vayepro 22-inch #16,222 #22 in Griddles Gas, glass, electric Yes
GreenPan #17,003 #23 in Griddles All except induction No
All-Clad HA1 #19,720 #15 in Grill Pans Any incl. induction Yes
Vayepro with lid #23,356 #28 in Griddles Gas, glass, electric Yes
SENSARTE #26,021 #33 in Griddles Not stated No

The best-ranked griddle makes no flatness claim, and two of the top five name no hob. The NutriChef leads by a wide margin; the OXO and Imusa sit third and fifth without naming a stovetop type. Of the four griddles with warping claims, only the Blue Diamond is in the top five. Sales track something, perhaps format, brand or visibility, but not how thoroughly a listing answers the electric-stove question. That is a reason to read the listing rather than the rank.

Best Alternatives

Alternative Why Consider It Better For Main Trade-Off
A plug-in electric griddle Its own element and thermostat across the whole plate Large batches without a cool middle Needs worktop space and a socket
A cast iron griddle; see our cast iron griddle guide Far more mass to even out heat between elements Searing and long cooks Heavy, needs seasoning, can scratch glass if slid
A dedicated induction griddle pan Chosen for magnetic bases and zone fit Induction hobs Fewer nonstick options

The unanswered listings — Imusa, SENSARTE, OXO. None names an electric hob. The Imusa buys a budget 19 by 12 inch plate with sidewalls; the SENSARTE a reversible cast aluminium plate with a grease trap; the OXO a hard-anodized single-burner square with a 430°F oven limit. All three leave you to confirm hob compatibility with the brand.

Electric named, flatness not — NutriChef, Nordic Ware, GreenPan. Stepping up to a listing that names electric, or covers it with all stovetops except induction, buys a written scope. The NutriChef adds the best rank and a grill section; the Nordic Ware a bare underside, a 5 year warranty and US manufacture; the GreenPan the heaviest listed weight and the most careful PFAS wording, with a 350°F oven limit. None of the three says anything about warping.

Electric and warping both stated — Vayepro, Vayepro with lid, Blue Diamond. This step buys the second half of the answer. The Vayepros name glass cooktops and back their claim with an 18-rib grid; one adds a lid. The Blue Diamond pairs all stovetops except induction with a base that it says prevents warping and wobbling, on a single burner, with a 600°F oven limit and metal-utensil wording.

Induction, warping and a warranty — All-Clad HA1. The top step buys the only induction statement on the page, a stainless-steel base for warp resistance, a 500°F oven limit and a Limited Lifetime Warranty. It is the only PTFE coating here, and it asks for gentler utensils than the Blue Diamond.

What to Check Before You Buy

Find Your Hob Type in the Listing

Look for your hob in words: electric, glass, induction, or a blanket phrase such as all stovetops. On this page, four say electric, two say glass, one says induction, three use a blanket phrase and three say nothing. No listing says coil. If yours is not covered, ask the seller before you order.

Look for a Warping or Base Claim

On a glass top especially, a base that bows or rocks heats unevenly and can wobble. Four listings here make a claim: the two Vayepros, the All-Clad and the Blue Diamond. None states a flatness tolerance. When the griddle arrives, set it on the cold hob and press each corner; a rock you can feel is worth a return.

Match the Size to Your Elements

A single-burner square sits over one element and heats evenly across it. A double-burner plate on electric heats over each element and runs cooler between them. If you want the long plate, use the middle to hold food. If you want even heat, choose an 11-inch square, or a plug-in griddle.

Rule Induction In or Out in Writing

Aluminium is not magnetic. Of the ten, only the All-Clad says induction, and it has a stainless-steel base. Five say no in words. Four say nothing, and none of those four mentions a steel base. If your hob is induction, buy the listing that says so.

Read the Coating Wording Word for Word

Six say ceramic, one says PTFE and three name no material. PFAS wording varies from free of PFAS to made without intentionally added PFAS. If a particular coating matters to you, choose a listing that names it, and read the free-of list exactly as printed.

Treat the Oven Figure as a Ceiling

Four listings give one: 600°F, 500°F, 430°F/220°C and 350°F. Six give none. A griddle with no stated oven limit is a hob pan. A griddle with plastic or Bakelite handles is one too, whatever else it says.

Follow Nonstick Care Unless the Listing Says Otherwise

Use wood, silicone or nylon; avoid preheating an empty pan on high; keep to low or medium heat; and wash by hand when you can. Only the Blue Diamond says metal utensils are safe. On glass tops, lift the griddle rather than sliding it, to spare both the glass and the base.

Common Mistakes

  • Assuming “electric” means your electric hob. Four listings say electric; none says coil, and only two say glass.
  • Reading “ceramic” as a hob type. Six listings use the word, and all six mean the coating.
  • Expecting an aluminium griddle to work on induction. Only the All-Clad, with its stainless-steel base, says induction; five say no.
  • Ignoring the warping claim. Only four of ten make one, and on a glass top a bowed base heats in spots.
  • Cooking across the middle of a double burner on electric. Eight of ten span two elements; the band between them runs cooler.
  • Taking an oven heading at its word. GreenPan says “BUILT FOR OVEN COOKING” and states 350°F, the lowest limit here.
  • Using metal tools by default. Only the Blue Diamond says metal utensil safe; All-Clad asks for silicone, nylon or wood.
  • Buying by rank. The #3,420 NutriChef makes no warping claim, and two of the top five name no hob at all.

Who Should Buy Which

Buy the Blue Diamond 11-Inch if you cook on coil or glass and mostly make breakfast for one or two. All stovetops except induction, a base that it says prevents warping and wobbling, one element, 600°F oven and broiler, metal utensil safe. Accept the 11-inch surface.

Buy the Vayepro 22-Inch if you have a glass top and need a long plate. Glass named in the title, an 18-rib Will Not Warp claim and a ceramic coat stated free of PTFE and PFOA. Accept a cooler middle between elements and no oven figure.

Buy the All-Clad HA1 if your hob is induction. It is the only listing that says so, with a stainless-steel base for warp resistance, 500°F and a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Accept the PTFE coating and the non-metal utensils.

Buy the Vayepro with Glass Lid if you want the ribbed Vayepro and a lid. Same griddle, same glass-top wording, plus a lid to keep the middle of the plate warm. Accept a third-party seller and a PFOA mention only in a heading.

Buy the Nordic Ware if you also griddle on a grill or camp stove. Gas or electric named, induction ruled out, a bare underside, a 5 year warranty. Accept no warping claim and the smallest double-burner surface.

Buy the NutriChef if you want a grill-and-griddle combo and go with the crowd. The best rank by far, gas and electric named. Accept no flatness claim, an unnamed coating and a plate that is partly ridged.

Buy the GreenPan if you want a heavy ceramic double burner and seldom use the oven. All stovetops except induction, 5.6 lb, the most careful PFAS wording. Accept the 350°F oven and broiler limit.

Buy the OXO Enhanced if you want a hard-anodized single-burner square and will check hob fit with OXO. 430°F, PFAS-free ceramic wording. Accept that it names no stovetop type.

Buy the Imusa if you cook on gas and want a budget plate with sidewalls. 19 x 12 inches, 2.6 lb, sold by Amazon.com. Accept that it names no heat source and has a 30 days warranty.

Buy the SENSARTE if you want one reversible pan with a grill face and a griddle face for gas or camping. Cast aluminium, a grease trap, ILAG coating. Accept two different weights and no hob type.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best non stick stovetop griddle?

It depends on your hob, and that is what most listings fail to tell you. For an electric coil or glass-top range, the Blue Diamond 11-inch square is the best documented: it says all stovetops except induction, claims a base that prevents warping and wobbling, sits over a single element and is oven and broiler safe to 600°F. If you need a long double-burner plate for a glass top, the Vayepro 22-inch is one of only two listings to name glass cooktops and backs a Will Not Warp claim with an 18-rib grid underneath. For induction, the All-Clad HA1 13 by 20 inch griddle is the only one of ten that says induction, with a stainless-steel base and a Limited Lifetime Warranty. The best-selling griddle here, the NutriChef, names gas and electric but makes no flatness claim.

What is the best griddle for an electric stove?

Look for three things in the listing: your hob type in words, a warping or base claim, and a size that suits your elements. On this page, the Blue Diamond 11-inch square ticks all three: all stovetops except induction, a base it says prevents warping and wobbling, and a single-burner footprint that avoids the cooler strip a double plate gets between two elements. If you want a double burner, the two Vayepro griddles name glass and electric and claim they will not warp, and the All-Clad covers any stovetop including induction with a warp-resistant steel base. No listing of the ten names a coil hob. Three, the OXO, the Imusa and the SENSARTE, do not say which hobs they suit at all, so confirm with the seller before using them on electric.

What is the best stovetop griddle for a glass top electric stove?

Only two listings here name a glass cooktop: both Vayepro griddles, in their titles, for gas and glass cooktops. Both claim they will not warp, citing 18 ribs in a grid on the underside, and both rule out induction. One comes with a glass lid. The listings do not say how much of the ribbed base touches the glass, which matters because a radiant glass top heats largely by contact; ask the seller if that worries you. The Blue Diamond and GreenPan cover glass tops with all stovetops except induction, and the Blue Diamond adds a claim against warping and wobbling on a single-burner square. Whatever you buy, lift it rather than slide it on the glass, check your range manual about bridging elements, and press each corner when it arrives to check it does not rock.

Do double burner griddles work on electric stoves?

Yes, but they heat unevenly, and no listing here claims otherwise for electric. This is general guidance. A coil or radiant element heats the part of the pan directly above it. A griddle laid across two elements gets two hot zones with a cooler band between them, warmed only by heat the metal conducts sideways. All ten griddles here have aluminium bodies, which spread heat well, and a heavier plate spreads it further, but the middle of a long plate on electric will usually run cooler. Elements of different sizes add to the unevenness. The practical answer is to cook over the elements and keep finished food warm in the middle, give the plate several minutes at medium to settle, and check your range manual, since some glass-top makers advise against bridging two elements. A single-burner square avoids the problem.

What is the best double griddle pan?

Eight of the ten here are double-burner griddles. For an electric glass top, the Vayepro 22-inch names glass cooktops and claims it will not warp, with a ceramic coat stated free of PTFE and PFOA. For induction, the All-Clad HA1 13 by 20 inch is the only double griddle, and the only griddle of any kind here, that says induction, with a 500°F oven limit and a Limited Lifetime Warranty. For a grill or campsite as well as the hob, the Nordic Ware has an uncoated back, names gas or electric stoves and grills, and carries a 5 year warranty. The NutriChef has the best Best Sellers Rank on the page and combines flat and ridged surfaces, though it makes no warping claim. On a budget, the Imusa gives a 19 by 12 inch surface with sidewalls, but its listing names no heat source.

Are ceramic nonstick griddles PFAS-free?

We can only report what each listing says, word for word, and we make no health claims of our own. Six griddles here say their coating is ceramic. Three of those use the term PFAS: Blue Diamond and OXO say their coatings are free of PFAS, PFOA, lead and cadmium, and GreenPan says its coating is made without intentionally added PFAS. The two Vayepro listings say their ceramic coat is free of PTFE and PFOA, one of them only in a heading, and do not mention PFAS. Nordic Ware says ceramic and makes no free-of claim. Of the rest, All-Clad names a PTFE coating, SENSARTE names a Switzerland ILAG stone coating free of PFOA, PFOS and APEO, and NutriChef and Imusa do not name a coating material. If the wording matters to you, read it exactly as printed.

Can you use metal utensils on a nonstick griddle?

Only if the listing says so, and on this page only one does. Blue Diamond states that its surface allows metal utensils without damage. All-Clad asks for silicone, nylon or wooden utensils to preserve the nonstick. Nordic Ware warns against sharp cooking utensils, metal scouring pads and abrasive cleaners because they will scratch the coating. The other seven listings say nothing about utensils. The general guidance for any nonstick coating, ceramic or PTFE, is to use wood, silicone or nylon, avoid cutting on the surface, and use a thin, flexible turner rather than a sharp-edged scraper. The same general guidance covers heat: cook at low to medium, avoid preheating an empty pan on high, and let it cool before washing, which also helps the base stay flat over time.

Can a nonstick stovetop griddle go in the oven?

Some can, to the limit the listing states, and most here do not say. Four listings give a figure. Blue Diamond says oven and broiler safe up to 600°F. All-Clad says oven safe up to 500°F. OXO says oven safe up to 430°F/220°C. GreenPan says oven and broiler safe up to 350°F, which is low enough to rule out many roasting temperatures despite a heading that says built for oven cooking. The other six, both Vayepros, the NutriChef, the Nordic Ware, the Imusa and the SENSARTE, give no oven figure, so treat them as hob-only. The NutriChef has Bakelite handles, and the Vayepro lid has no stated oven rating. A griddle also has to fit: double-burner plates of 20 inches and more will not go in many domestic ovens, so measure the oven first.

Final Verdict

All stovetops except induction, a no-warp, no-wobble base claim, one element and 600°F oven and broiler.

Best Double Burner for Glass TopsVayepro 22-Inch 2-Burner Griddle Pan

Glass cooktops named in the title, an 18-rib Will Not Warp claim, and a ceramic coat stated free of PTFE and PFOA.

Best for InductionAll-Clad HA1 Expert 13 x 20 Griddle

The only induction claim of ten, a stainless-steel base for warp resistance, 500°F and a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Ten nonstick stovetop griddles, and not one names the electric coil. Four say electric, two say glass, one says induction, three cover electric with a blanket phrase and three say nothing about hobs at all. Four make a warping claim; none says its base is flat.

For an electric range, that silence matters more than any coating claim. A double-burner griddle on electric heats in two patches with a cooler band between, and on a glass top a base that bows heats in spots. Eight of the ten are double-burner plates. Only one griddle covers electric hobs in words, claims its base resists warping and sits over a single element.

So buy by what the listing says about your hob, not by rank. The best-selling griddle here makes no flatness claim, and two of the top five name no stovetop type. Find your hob in the listing, look for a warping claim, choose a single square if you want even heat, and read the coating and oven wording exactly as printed.

If you buy one griddle from this page for an electric stove, make it the Blue Diamond 11-inch square: all stovetops except induction, a base it says prevents warping and wobbling, one element, and oven and broiler safe to 600°F. If you need a long plate for a glass top, the Vayepro 22-inch names glass and claims it will not warp; if your hob is induction, the All-Clad HA1 is the only griddle here that says it will work.
