Size Comes in Seven Units on the Best Extra Large Countertop Oven

Every oven on this page calls itself extra large, XL, X-Large or family-sized. Not one of them measures that the same way as the next. Read the ten listings side by side and you find size stated in seven different units: quarts, litres, slices of toast, inches of pizza, pounds of turkey or chicken, the size of a baking pan, and, on just three listings, the inside of the oven in inches.

The quart figures alone run from 26 to 60. The Emeril Lagasse is “26QT”. The Midea Flexify Pro is “26.4 QT”. The Nuwave Bravo is “30 QT” and the Ninja Double Oven Pro “30.2 Qt”. The VBGK says 35. The Elite Gourmet is “47.5Qt” in its title and “45L” in its first bullet, and those two agree once you convert them. The Oster gives only litres, 42. The Garvee commercial oven gives both, “68L/60Qt”, and those two do not agree: 68 litres is about 71.9 US quarts, and 60 quarts is about 56.8 litres.

Then there is the oven that gives no volume at all. Ninja’s Prestige Smart XL, sold as the DT501 and as the DT551 with a thermometer, states no quarts and no litres. It states food instead: “fits up to a 12 lb. Turkey”, two 9 by 9 baking trays, 9 slices of toast on a rack. That 12 lb turkey is the largest bird claimed on the page, and it comes from the listing that will not give you a number to compare it with.

The units do not predict each other. The 47.5 quart Elite Gourmet says a 7 lb turkey. The 35 quart VBGK says exactly the same 7 lb turkey and the same 18 slices of toast, in a bullet copied almost word for word from the Elite. The 26.4 quart Midea claims a 5-lb chicken and a 12-inch pizza; the 30.2 quart Ninja Double Oven claims a 4.5-pound chicken; the 30 quart Nuwave names no food at all. A bigger number on one listing does not mean a bigger meal than a smaller number on another.

Only three listings tell you what is inside. The Elite Gourmet gives “16 W x 12.5 D x 12 H” inches. The VBGK gives “14.96 L x 10.4 W x 11H”. The Garvee gives 18.3 by 14.6 by 13.8 inches. Those are the only three ovens on the page where you can check a pizza, a pan or a roasting tin against a ruler before you buy. And one of the three fails its own test: by the VBGK’s printed figures, the floor is 10.4 inches across, which is not enough for the 12-inch pizza the same bullet promises.

And the smallest stated oven is the most popular. The 26 quart Emeril ranks #160 overall on Amazon, far ahead of anything else here. The three ovens that give interior dimensions, including the two largest stated volumes, are the three lowest-ranked on the page, all past #84,000. Popularity here runs close to opposite to the size printed on the box.

So this guide sorts the ten by what their size claim lets you check. We convert every volume to both units, show the conversions as our arithmetic, set each one against the outside of the box, and list what each seller says actually fits. Star ratings and review counts were not captured for this roundup; popularity below is Amazon’s Best Sellers Rank only.

The ten were captured on 5 October 2026, and the best-documented capacity on the page belongs to the Elite Gourmet.

Best Sellers Ranks and specifications are taken from each manufacturer’s Amazon listing as displayed on 5 October 2026 through a United States connection, and may change. Sizes are as printed by each seller. Quarts are US quarts; 1 US quart is about 0.946 litres, and every conversion in this guide is our arithmetic, not the seller’s. The Garvee’s “68L/60Qt” are not the same volume: 68 litres is about 71.9 quarts and 60 quarts about 56.8 litres. Interior dimensions are the seller’s; the Elite and VBGK measure height “upper element to rack at bottom position”, not to the floor. The two Ninja Prestige models share one Best Sellers Rank, #17 in Toaster Ovens, because Amazon pools variants; read that rank as the pair, not each. Eight ovens were sold by Amazon.com at capture; the VBGK by Chiao Electric and the Garvee by Garvee. Star ratings and review counts were not captured for any product here.

How We Chose These Ten

We researched current listings, compared manufacturer specifications and documentation, and read each listing’s capacity claims line by line. We did not carry out hands-on testing, and nothing below is presented as measured performance data. Star ratings and review counts were not captured for this roundup. We used Amazon Best Sellers Rank, buy-box stock and listing specifications instead, and nothing on this page describes or implies how owners have scored these ovens.

  • Countertop ovens sold as extra large — every product here uses XL, X-Large, Extra Large, Extra-Large, Ultra-Spacious, family-sized or a large quart figure in its title, bullets or size field. Standard four-slice toaster ovens and full-size wall ovens were not in the running. For French-door models in particular, see our French door air fryer toaster oven guide.
  • New units only — every buy box here was a new product at capture. Listings whose buy box was a used or resale unit were replaced.
  • Every size claim recorded in its own unit — quarts, litres, slices, pizza inches, pounds of poultry, pan sizes and interior inches were logged exactly as printed, then converted where a conversion is possible. Conversions use 1 US quart = 0.946 litres and 1 litre = 61.02 cubic inches, and are labelled as ours.
  • Claims checked against the outside of the box — where a listing gives exterior dimensions, we worked out what share of the box its stated volume would occupy. It is a sanity check, not a measurement, and it flags the claims worth questioning.
  • Food claims kept separate from volume — a turkey weight or a pizza size is the seller’s judgement of what fits. We report it as such and test it against interior inches where the listing gives them.
  • Popularity from Best Sellers Rank only — ranks are quoted exactly as returned on 5 October 2026, overall and in the category Amazon assigned. Ranks move constantly, and variants can share one.
  • Verified stock, seller and price — each product was the buy-box offer and in stock on amazon.com on 5 October 2026, at the price shown. Eight were sold by Amazon.com; the VBGK by Chiao Electric and the Garvee by Garvee.

The Ten Extra Large Countertop Ovens in Detail

1. Ninja Prestige Smart XL Countertop Oven, 10-in-1, Stainless Steel, DT501 — Best Overall

Stainless steel Ninja countertop oven with a wide glass door and a digital display along the door handle

The biggest bird claimed on the page, from a listing that never says how many quarts or litres it holds.

Seller Amazon.com
Best Sellers Rank #5,161 overall; #17 in Toaster Ovens (shared with DT551)

Why We Recommend It

This listing tells you more about what fits than any other on the page, and nothing about how big it is. The capacity bullet is a list of food: “Fits up to 2 9×9 baking trays; bakes up to 20 cookies, fit and cook 9 slices of toast or 9 bagel halves on a rack, fits up to a 12 lb. Turkey and allows for up to 8 lb. air fry capacity.” There is no quart figure, no litre figure, and no interior dimension anywhere in the title, bullets or spec table. If you are comparing ovens by the number on the box, this one drops out of the comparison. If you are comparing them by Thanksgiving, it wins it.

The 12 lb turkey is the largest poultry claim here by a distance. The 47.5 quart Elite Gourmet says 7 lb. The 26.4 quart Midea says a 5-lb chicken. The 30.2 quart Ninja Double Oven says a 4.5-pound chicken. Ninja’s claim is nearly double the next-largest bird, and it sits in a box 13.34 inches tall, lower than the Elite Gourmet’s 16.8. We cannot check it: without interior height, there is no way to set a 12 lb bird against the element from the listing alone. Treat it as Ninja’s statement of what it has fitted, and if a 12 lb turkey is the reason you are buying, ask how much clearance is left above the breast.

The trays are the most useful number. Two 9 by 9 baking trays is a concrete, checkable claim: you own 9 by 9 tins or you do not. The listing does not say whether they sit side by side or one per level, but the oven is described as “2 LEVEL EVEN COOKING”, “with no rotation, flipping, or shaking”, and comes with two wire racks and two sheet pans, so two levels of cooking is the design. Nine slices of toast per rack puts it level with the Elite Gourmet’s nine per rack, though the Elite advertises 18 across two racks and Ninja does not double its figure.

What to weigh. It sits well below its list price; list prices are the seller’s reference, not a measure of value. Sold by Amazon.com. It shares Best Sellers Rank #17 in Toaster Ovens and #5,161 overall with the DT551, because Amazon pools the two variants, so the rank describes the pair. No warranty is stated on this listing, while the DT551’s says 1 Year. If you want the Pro Cook thermometer, the DT551 adds it; if you do not, this is the same cavity for less.

Pros

  • 12 lb turkey claim, the largest on the page
  • Two 9 x 9 trays, a checkable pan size
  • 9 slices of toast per rack; 20 cookies
  • Lit rack-position guide on the handle
  • Well below list, sold by Amazon.com
  • 90-second preheat stated

Cons

  • No volume in quarts or litres
  • No interior dimensions
  • Wattage and maximum temperature not stated
  • Rank is pooled with the DT551
  • No warranty stated on this listing
  • 33.63 pounds to lift

Best for: A household that sizes an oven by the turkey and the tins it owns, and does not need a quart figure to compare.

2. Elite Gourmet ETO4510B# French Door Convection Oven 47.5Qt, Stainless Steel — Most Measurable Capacity

Stainless steel and black Elite Gourmet French door countertop oven with four control knobs on the right

The only oven on the page whose two volume figures agree and whose interior you can measure against a pizza.

Key Specifications

Volume as stated 47.5Qt (title); 45L (bullet and size field)
Interior 16 W x 12.5 D x 12 H in (height to bottom rack position)
Toast 9 slices per rack, 18 on 2 racks
Largest food claimed 7 lb turkey; 2 x 12 in pizzas
Rack positions 4
Maximum temperature 450°F; independent top and bottom elements
Extras Convection; rotisserie spit and fork; 60-minute timer
Exterior 17.5 W x 23.3 L x 16.8 H in
Weight 19.84 pounds
Best Sellers Rank #84,434 overall; #32 in Convection Ovens

Why We Recommend It

This is the capacity claim on the page you can actually check. The title says “47.5Qt”. The first bullet says “45L capacity”. The size field says “18-Slice, 45L w/ Rotisserie”. Converted, 45 litres is about 47.6 US quarts, so the title and the bullet are the same figure in two units. Only one other listing, the Garvee, gives both units, and its pair does not match. Then the Elite goes further than all but two listings here: “interior dimensions of 16 W x 12.5 D x 12 H (upper element to rack at bottom position)”.

Those inches tell you what the litres cannot. A 12.5-inch depth takes a 12-inch pizza with half an inch to spare, which is what the listing claims: “Four rack positions fit up to 2 x 12″ pizzas”. Sixteen inches of width is not enough for two 12-inch pizzas side by side, so the two pizzas are one per rack, on two of the four positions. A 13 by 9 inch baking dish, a common size, fits the floor plan with room either way. Multiplied out, 16 by 12.5 by 12 inches is 2,400 cubic inches, about 39.3 litres or 41.6 quarts. That is below the 45 litres stated, which is what you would expect: the 12-inch height is measured only from the element to the bottom rack position, not to the floor.

It is an old-style oven with a rotisserie. Four knobs, “Independent Temperature Knobs up to 450°F to separately control top and bottom heating elements”, convection, a “Rotisserie spit & Fork assembly” and a 60-minute timer that turns the oven off. There is no air-fry setting named and no digital display. The 450°F ceiling matches the Midea and sits below the VBGK’s 482°F, the Nuwave’s 500°F and the Garvee’s 572°F. No wattage is stated anywhere, which matters on a 45 litre box if it shares a circuit; check the rating plate.

What to weigh. Sold by Amazon.com, with no list price shown. It ranks #84,434 overall and #32 in Convection Ovens, so it is far less bought than the Ninjas and the Emeril. No warranty is stated. If you want to know before you buy that your pizza stone, your roasting tin and your 13 by 9 dish will go in, this is the listing that lets you find out.

Pros

  • 47.5 Qt and 45L agree once converted
  • Interior dimensions stated: 16 x 12.5 x 12 in
  • Two 12-inch pizzas, one per rack, checkable
  • Four rack positions; 18 slices on 2 racks
  • Rotisserie spit and convection
  • Independent top and bottom elements

Cons

  • Wattage not stated
  • 450°F ceiling, joint lowest stated here
  • 23.3 in deep, the deepest domestic box
  • No air-fry programme named
  • Warranty not stated
  • #84,434 overall; much less bought than the leaders

Best for: A buyer who wants to measure their pans against the oven before ordering, and values a rotisserie over an air-fry button.

3. Oster Extra-Large 42L French Door Countertop Toaster Oven, 6-in-1 Air Fryer Oven — Best Budget

Grey and stainless Oster French door countertop oven with two glass doors and control dials below the window

The lowest price on the page, litres only, and one of the few listings that gives a pan size in inches.

Key Specifications

Volume as stated 42 Liter (size field); 42L (title)
Interior Not stated
Largest food claimed 15 x 12 baking pans; two large pizzas; a full-size chicken
Presets 6: Bake, Toast, Broil, Warm, Air Fry, Turbo Convection

Accessories Air fry rack, wire/broil rack, baking pan, crumb tray
Exterior 24.02 W x 20.51 L x 15.28 H in
Weight Not stated
Seller Amazon.com
Best Sellers Rank #8,946 overall; #22 in Toaster Ovens

Why We Recommend It

At the lowest price on the page, this is the extra large oven whose listing tells you something you can measure. “Ultra-Spacious: Accommodates 15 x 12 baking pans, two large pizzas or a full-size chicken”. A 15 by 12 inch pan is a real, checkable size, one of only three pan or rack dimensions stated on the page, alongside the Ninja Prestige’s 9 by 9 trays and the Garvee’s racks. If your largest sheet pan is 15 by 12 or smaller, the listing says it goes in.

The volume is in litres only. The title says “Extra-Large 42L” and the size field “42 Liter”. Converted, that is about 44.4 US quarts, which puts it third on the page by stated volume, behind the Garvee and the Elite Gourmet, and ahead of every quart figure except those two. A shopper comparing quart figures would never see it, because there is no quart figure to see.

It needs the most worktop width on the page. 24.02 inches wide, 20.51 deep and 15.28 high: a footprint of about 492.7 square inches, the largest of any oven here with usable exterior figures. Our sanity check puts its stated 42 litres at about 34% of the outside volume of the box, the lowest share on the page, so if anything this claim looks conservative. The French doors open “with a simple pull”, and “a magnetized door assist keeps them open” while you lift food out, useful with a heavy tray.

What to weigh. It sits below its list price and is sold by Amazon.com. It ranks #8,946 overall and #22 in Toaster Ovens, the fifth-best rank here. The spec table names Newell Brands as manufacturer; no warranty is stated. It is the lower-priced of the two against the Ninja Prestige DT501, but you would be trusting “two large pizzas” rather than a 12 lb turkey, and neither listing gives interior inches.

Pros

  • The lowest-priced oven here
  • 15 x 12 pan size stated in inches
  • 42 L, about 44.4 qt, third-largest stated volume
  • Claim looks conservative against its box
  • Magnetised French-door assist
  • Sold by Amazon.com

Cons

  • Litres only; no quart figure to compare
  • Pizza size and chicken weight not given
  • 24.02 in wide, the widest domestic box
  • No wattage or temperature range stated
  • Weight not stated
  • Only one wire rack listed

Best for: A buyer on a budget whose biggest pan is 15 by 12 inches or smaller and who has 24 inches of worktop to give.

4. Ninja Double Oven Pro Smart XL, 30.2 Qt, 12-in-1, Stainless Steel, DCT801 — Best Two-Zone

Stainless steel Ninja double countertop oven with a separate upper compartment door above a full-height door

Two ovens in one 30.2 quart box, which is a different idea of extra large from every other listing here.

Key Specifications

Volume as stated 30.2 Qt (title), split between two ovens
Interior Not stated; split between ovens not stated
Largest food claimed 4.5-pound chicken; 6 lbs of wings; 6 salmon fillets
Toast Up to 6 slices of bread
Programmes 12, including Air Fry, Conv. Bake, Pizza, Whole Roast, Dehydrate
Accessories 2 sheet pans, 2 wire racks, air fry basket, crumb tray
Exterior 17.2 W x 18.7 L x 14.0 H in
Weight 25.35 pounds
Released 18 March 2026
Seller Amazon.com
Best Sellers Rank #1,407 overall; #3 in Convection Ovens

Why We Recommend It

This oven is extra large in a different sense: it is two ovens. “TWO INDEPENDENT OVENS: Creates two separate ovens. Access just the top for quick meals and snacks or open the full door so you can cook 2 meals, 2 ways on the top and bottom.” The capacity question becomes how many dishes you can cook at once at different settings, not how big one dish can be. On that measure nothing else here competes. The “SMART FINISH” feature syncs the two so they finish together.

The size figure is modest and undivided. The title says “30.2 Qt”, about 28.6 litres. Only three ovens here state less: the Emeril, the Midea and, by a fifth of a quart, the Nuwave. The listing does not say how those 30.2 quarts split between the top and bottom oven, and it gives no interior dimensions, so you cannot tell how tall either compartment is. A two-zone oven trades height for flexibility: a divided cavity is unlikely to take a bird as tall as an open one, and the listing’s poultry claim reflects that.

The food claims are the family-weeknight kind. “Fits up to 6 lbs of wings, 6 salmon filets, a 4.5-pound chicken, family size sheet pan meals, and up to 6 slices of bread.” A 4.5-pound chicken is the smallest bird named by weight on the page, well short of the Ninja Prestige’s 12 lb turkey and below the 26.4 quart Midea’s 5-lb chicken. Six slices of bread is what the Midea also claims, and two-thirds of the nine per rack Ninja claims for the Prestige. “Family size sheet pan meals” is undefined: the listing includes two sheet pans and does not give their size.

What to weigh. Sold by Amazon.com, the second-dearest oven here and the dearest domestic one, with no list price shown. No warranty is stated. If your problem is cooking a main and a side at different temperatures, this is the answer. If your problem is a 12 lb turkey, it is not.

Pros

  • Two independent ovens; top opens alone
  • Smart Finish syncs both zones
  • 12 programmes including Whole Roast
  • #3 in Convection Ovens; #1,407 overall
  • Compact 17.2 in wide footprint
  • Sold by Amazon.com

Cons

  • 30.2 Qt, a modest stated volume
  • Split between ovens not stated
  • 4.5-pound chicken, the smallest bird named here
  • Six slices of bread
  • No wattage, temperature or interior size
  • Dearest domestic oven

Best for: A family that wants a main and a side cooking at once at different settings more than it wants one very large cavity.

5. Ninja Prestige Smart XL Pro Cook System, 10-in-1, Stainless Steel, DT551 — Best With Thermometer

Stainless steel Ninja countertop oven with a wired food thermometer lying beside it

The DT501 again, with a probe thermometer for the 12 lb turkey and the same silence on volume.

Key Specifications

Volume Not stated in quarts or litres
Capacity as stated Two 9×9 baking trays; 20 cookies; 9 slices of toast or 9 bagel halves on a rack
Largest food claimed 12 lb turkey; 8 lb air fry capacity
Thermometer Pro Cook System with Auto Temp Detect
Programmes 10, as the DT501
Exterior 20.22 W x 17.09 L x 13.34 H in
Weight 33.75 pounds
Warranty 1 Year
Seller Amazon.com
Best Sellers Rank #5,161 overall; #17 in Toaster Ovens (shared with DT501)

Why We Recommend It

This is the same Prestige Smart XL as the DT501, plus a thermometer. The capacity bullet is word for word the same: two 9 by 9 trays, 20 cookies, 9 slices of toast or 9 bagel halves on a rack, a 12 lb turkey and 8 lb of air frying. The outside dimensions are identical, 20.22 by 17.09 by 13.34 inches, and the weight differs by 0.12 pounds, 33.75 here against 33.63. The difference is the “PRO COOK SYSTEM”: an “integrated Pro Cook System with Auto Temp Detect Intelligence Thermometer” that aims for “perfect doneness from rare to well done at the touch of a button”.

On an extra large oven, the thermometer matters more than it would on a small one. The bigger the joint, the wider the gap between a cooked outside and a cooked centre, and the less a timer alone can tell you. If you are buying this oven for the 12 lb turkey it claims, a probe in the thickest part of the thigh is how you know when to take it out. That is general cooking practice, not a test of this thermometer. The listing does not say what temperatures the probe reads or how it connects. Only one other oven here lists a probe, the Nuwave Bravo, which pairs it with a 30 quart cavity and no food claims at all.

What to weigh. It costs a little more than the DT501, is sold by Amazon.com, and shows no list price. The two share Best Sellers Rank #17 in Toaster Ovens and #5,161 overall, so the rank tells you about the Prestige range, not which variant sells. The DT501’s listing mentions the “DIGITAL DISPLAY HANDLE” that lights the right rack position; this one does not mention it, and we cannot tell from the data whether that is a difference in the hardware or in the copywriting. If you already own a good probe thermometer, buy the DT501.

Pros

  • Probe thermometer for large joints
  • 12 lb turkey claim, joint largest here
  • Two 9 x 9 trays; 9 slices per rack
  • 1 Year warranty stated
  • Adds a probe thermometer to the DT501
  • Sold by Amazon.com

Cons

  • No volume in quarts or litres
  • No interior dimensions
  • Thermometer range not stated
  • Display handle not mentioned on this listing
  • Rank is pooled with the DT501
  • No wattage or temperature stated

Best for: A buyer who will roast the big birds this oven claims to fit and does not already own a probe thermometer.

6. Nuwave Bravo 30 QT Smart Air Fryer Toaster Oven, 2026 New Convection System — Most Control

Stainless steel Nuwave countertop air fryer toaster oven with a glass door and a digital control panel

Thirty quarts, four rack positions, a probe and 112 presets, and not one food the listing says will fit.

Key Specifications

Volume as stated 30 QT (title); size field “Bravo X-Large”
Interior Not stated
Largest food claimed None stated
Rack positions 4
Temperature 50–500°F in 5°F steps; top and bottom heaters adjustable
Probe Integrated digital temperature probe; ends cooking at set temperature
Presets 12 cooking functions; 100 recipe presets; 50 memory slots
Accessories Enamel baking pan with broiler rack, crumb tray, air fry basket, racks
Exterior 20.0 W x 12.88 L x 11.13 H in
Weight 20.76 pounds
Seller Amazon.com
Best Sellers Rank #10,550 overall; #24 in Toaster Ovens

Why We Recommend It

This listing spends every word on control and none on what fits. The title says “30 QT”, about 28.4 litres, and the size field says “Bravo X-Large”. Then the bullets talk about temperature, presets and the probe. There is no pizza size, no bird, no slice count, no pan size and no interior dimension. It shares that silence with the Emeril alone. The one capacity fact beyond the quarts is “4 different rack positions”.

The quart figure is the hardest to square with its box. The listing gives the outside as 20.0 inches wide, 12.88 deep and 11.13 high. Multiplied out, that is about 2,867 cubic inches, or about 47.0 litres. Thirty quarts would fill about 60% of it, the highest share on the page, against 34% to 40% for the Oster, Emeril, Ninja Double Oven and Elite Gourmet. A cavity cannot be bigger than its box, and walls, insulation, the door and the controls all take space. So either one of the exterior fields is short, or the 30 quarts are generous. The listing gives no interior inches to settle it. Read the dimensions as the box you need to make room for, and the quarts as a ceiling.

The control is the widest on the page. “Set cooking temperatures from 50°F and 500°F adjustable in precise 5°F increments.” The 500°F top is beaten only by the commercial Garvee. Nuwave says its “Linear T” system makes “constant power adjustments every second” and that “our heater never turns off while cooking”, and you can set the top and bottom heaters separately. The “INTEGRATED DIGITAL TEMPERATURE PROBE” ends cooking when the food reaches the set internal temperature, which on a large joint is worth more than a bigger cavity. “You will never undercook or overcook your food again” is marketing. The presets add up to 112: “12 preset cooking functions” plus “100 pre-programmed recipe presets”, with 50 slots for your own.

What to weigh. It sits well below its list price and is sold by Amazon.com. It ranks #10,550 overall and #24 in Toaster Ovens. 20.76 pounds. No wattage and no warranty are stated. The kit is complete for an oven of this type: an enamel baking pan with broiler rack, a crumb tray, an air fry basket and the racks. Buy it for control in a low box; do not buy it for 30 quarts of roasting space until you have seen the interior measured.

Pros

  • 50–500°F in 5°F steps
  • Integrated probe ends cooking at set temperature
  • Top and bottom heaters set separately
  • Four rack positions; 112 presets
  • Lowest box here at 11.13 in
  • Well below list, sold by Amazon.com

Cons

  • No food, pizza or pan fit claims
  • 30 QT is about 60% of its listed box
  • No interior dimensions
  • 12.88 in outside depth limits pizza
  • No wattage or warranty stated
  • “Never undercook” is marketing

Best for: A cook who wants fine temperature control and a probe in a low-profile box, and will check the cavity against their pans.

Seller Amazon.com
Best Sellers Rank #8,852 overall; #54 in Air Fryers

Why We Recommend It

This small number comes with the most specific food claims of any oven under 30 quarts. “Its 26.4-quart capacity fits a 12″ pizza, 6 slices of toast, or a 5-lb whole chicken—perfect for family meals.” 26.4 quarts is about 25.0 litres, only the Emeril’s 26 quarts is smaller, and the Emeril names no food at all. The Nuwave, at 30 quarts, names none either. The Ninja Double Oven, at 30.2, claims the same six slices and a smaller chicken, 4.5 pounds. If you have to choose between small ovens by what their sellers will commit to, the Midea commits to the most.

The 12-inch pizza is the claim to check. The box is 16.9 inches wide, 13.7 deep and 14.3 high. A 12-inch pizza needs 12 inches of interior depth, which leaves 1.7 inches for the back wall, the insulation and the French doors combined. That is tight. It may be possible, and the listing is confident enough to build a pizza mode around it, but there are no interior inches to prove it. If a 12-inch stone or tray is the point, ask for the interior depth first.

Against its box, the quart figure sits a little high. The outside multiplies out to about 54.3 litres. 26.4 quarts would be about 46% of that, above the 34% to 40% band of the Oster, Emeril, Ninja Double Oven and Elite Gourmet, and well below the Nuwave’s 60%. It is the smallest footprint on the page, about 231.5 square inches, which is the honest case for it: a French-door oven that fits where the others will not.

What to weigh. Sold by Amazon.com, with no list price shown. Its spec table states “1 Year Warranty”, one of only two warranties stated on the page. It ranks #8,852 overall and #54 in Air Fryers, so, like the Emeril, Amazon files it as an air fryer rather than an oven. 21.38 pounds. No wattage is stated. It is the best small French-door choice here if the footprint matters most; it is not the oven for a turkey.

Pros

  • 12-inch pizza, 5-lb chicken and 6 slices stated
  • Smallest footprint, about 231.5 sq in
  • 1 Year Warranty stated
  • Four pizza crust options
  • Enamel interior, PFAS-free stated
  • Sold by Amazon.com

Cons

  • 26.4 QT, second-smallest stated volume
  • 12 in pizza in a 13.7 in deep box
  • No interior dimensions
  • Quarts sit at about 46% of its box
  • 450°F ceiling
  • No wattage stated

Best for: A small kitchen that wants French doors, a 12-inch pizza mode and a stated warranty, and does not roast large birds.

8. Emeril Lagasse 26QT French Door Multi-Function Air Fryer Toaster Oven — Best Ranked

Stainless steel Emeril Lagasse French door air fryer toaster oven with an interior light and knobs on the right

The smallest stated volume on the page, the best rank by a mile, and not one word about what fits.

Key Specifications

Interior Not stated
Largest food claimed None stated
Fan Dual-speed; 360° air circulation
Toast Auto-off when the toast timer ends; red/blue indicator
Doors French doors; interior light
Exterior 15.8 W x 16.9 L x 14.8 H in
Weight Not stated
Seller Amazon.com
Best Sellers Rank #160 overall; #7 in Air Fryers

Why We Recommend It

This is the most-bought oven on the page and the smallest by its own figure. “26QT”, about 24.6 litres, is the lowest volume stated by any of the ten, just under the Midea’s 26.4. Its Best Sellers Rank is #160 overall and #7 in Air Fryers. The next-best rank on the page is #1,407. Whatever shoppers are buying when they buy this oven, it is not the biggest box.

It makes no capacity claim beyond the number. No pizza size, no chicken weight, no slice count, no pan size, no interior dimensions. The size field says “Extra Large”. The only reference to scale in the bullets is that it handles everything from “quick after-school snacks to roasting for large gatherings”, which is not a measurement. With the Nuwave, it is one of two listings that leave you with a volume and nothing to check it against.

It is ranked as an air fryer, not an oven. Amazon puts it in Air Fryers, and the listing leads with “A VERSATILE AIR FRYER AND MULTI-COOKER COMBO”. Against air fryer baskets, 26 quarts is enormous; against the countertop ovens on this page, it is the floor. That may explain both the rank and the “Extra Large” label. The features are aimed at crisping and toast: a “DUAL-SPEED FAN”, “360º superheated air circulation”, and a toast timer that switches the oven off when it ends, with a light that goes from red to blue. The French doors “open with a single pull” and an interior light lets you watch without opening them.

What to weigh. It sits below its list price and is sold by Amazon.com. No wattage, temperature range, weight, warranty or accessory list is stated. If you want an air fryer oven that is large by air fryer standards and fits a small kitchen, the rank says plenty of people have made the same choice. If you want to roast for a crowd, the listing gives you no evidence that it can; the Midea, with a near-identical quart figure, at least names a 5-lb chicken and a 12-inch pizza.

Pros

  • #160 overall, the best rank here by far
  • Compact footprint, about 267 sq in
  • Dual-speed fan for air frying
  • Toast timer switches the oven off
  • Interior light; French doors
  • Below list, sold by Amazon.com

Cons

  • 26QT, the smallest stated volume
  • No food or pan fit claims at all
  • No interior dimensions
  • No wattage or temperature stated
  • Accessories not listed
  • Ranked as an air fryer, not an oven

Best for: A small kitchen that wants a well-bought French-door air fryer oven and does not need to roast large joints.

9. Garvee Commercial Convection Oven Countertop, 68L/60Qt, 1750W, 4-Tier — Largest Stated Interior

Silver stainless steel commercial countertop convection oven with a front glass door and four wire racks inside

The only true commercial oven here, with the biggest interior on the page and two volume figures that cannot both be right.

Exterior and weight Fields look like shipping figures; not printed
Seller Garvee
Best Sellers Rank #328,747 overall; #112 in Convection Ovens

Why We Recommend It

This is a commercial convection oven sold to the same search as the rest. “Garvee Commercial Convection Oven Countertop”, with four racks, a 1750W element, a temperature range to 572°F, and a bullet that names “convenience stores, cafes, and family gatherings” as its market. It is the largest interior on the page by the only measure that can be compared directly: “The 4-tier interior (18.3″ × 14.6″ × 13.8″)”. Multiplied out, that is about 3,687 cubic inches, roughly 60.4 litres or 63.8 quarts.

Its two volume figures disagree with each other. The title and bullet both say “68L/60QT”. But 68 litres is about 71.9 US quarts, and 60 quarts is about 56.8 litres. They cannot both be the same cavity. The interior dimensions come out at about 60.4 litres, which is closer to the “60” read as litres than to either figure as printed. We cannot tell from the listing which number is meant. Use the inches: 18.3 wide, 14.6 deep, 13.8 high.

What fits is what the racks say. Four wire racks of “17.5″ × 12.8″” each. By that arithmetic a 12-inch pizza sits on any of them with room to spare, one per rack, so four at once across the tiers if the height allows; the listing says only that it is “perfect for pizzas, whole chicken, fries, bread, and pastries”, with no size or weight for any of them. A rack 12.8 inches deep is just under the 13 inches of a common half-sheet pan, and the interior is 14.6 deep, so whether a half sheet slides in depends on the rack rails, which the listing does not describe.

In a home kitchen, the power is the first thing to check. 1750W on 120V is about 14.6 amps, from the listing’s own figures. The listing says it “runs on 120V AC, 60Hz with a standard 5-15P plug—no electrical modifications needed”, and the plug will fit an ordinary outlet. But a typical household circuit is 15 amps, so in general this oven will need that circuit to itself: a kettle or toaster on the same line is likely to trip it. It is the only oven on the page that states its wattage at all.

What to weigh. The dearest oven here, sold by Garvee rather than Amazon.com. It ranks #328,747 overall and #112 in Convection Ovens, the lowest rank on the page. The build reads like catering kit: SUS304 and SUS201 stainless, a “double-layer tempered glass door”, a magnetic seal, an interior light with its own switch, two knobs, and a stated accuracy of “±7℃”. There is no air-fry programme and no preset of any kind. No warranty is stated. Buy it if you bake in batches on four racks; not if you want a toaster oven that happens to be big.

Pros

  • Largest stated interior: 18.3 x 14.6 x 13.8 in
  • Four 17.5 x 12.8 in racks included
  • 572°F ceiling, the highest stated here
  • Only listing that states its wattage
  • Standard 5-15P household plug
  • Interior light with its own switch

Cons

  • 68L and 60Qt are different volumes
  • About 14.6 A; needs its own circuit
  • Exterior size and weight fields not usable
  • The dearest oven here
  • Sold by Garvee, not Amazon.com
  • No presets, air fry or warranty stated

Best for: A home baker who runs four trays at a time, has a free 15-amp circuit, and will confirm the footprint before ordering.

10. VBGK French Door Electric Knob Oven, 35 QT Extra Large Oven, 18-Slice Convection Oven, 3-Control Knobs — Interior Stated, Pizza Doubtful

Black French door convection countertop oven with three knobs and a metal door handle

It gives interior dimensions, which is rare, and those dimensions rule out the 12-inch pizza it promises.

Key Specifications

Volume as stated 35 QT (title, bullet and size field)
Interior 14.96 L x 10.4 W x 11 H in (height to bottom rack position)
Toast 9 slices per rack, 18 on 2 racks
Largest food claimed 7 lb turkey; 2 x 12 in pizzas
Rack positions 2; the title lists one rack and one tray
Temperature 158–482°F; independent top and bottom elements
Functions “12 cooking functions”; 11 named
Exterior 21.0 W x 14.9 L x 13.0 H in
Weight 15.0 pounds
Seller Chiao Electric
Best Sellers Rank #179,704 overall; #63 in Convection Ovens

Why We Recommend It

This listing does the rare thing and then contradicts itself. It is one of three on the page to give interior dimensions: “interior dimensions of 14.96 L x 10.4 W x 11H (upper element to rack at bottom position)”. In the same bullet it says “two rack positions fitup to 2x 12″ pizzas”. A 12-inch pizza needs 12 inches in both directions. By the listing’s own figures, the cavity is 10.4 inches across one way. Either the pizza does not lie flat, or one of the numbers is wrong. We cannot tell which, and neither can a buyer, which is the problem.

The capacity bullet is copied from the Elite Gourmet. Set them side by side. Elite: “Fits 9 slices of toast on 2 racks for a total of 18 slices and roasts up to a 7lb turkey.” VBGK: “Fits 9 slices of toast on 2 racks for a total of 18 slices and roasts up to a 7lb turkey.” Both then give interior dimensions with the same parenthesis, “(upper element to rack at bottom position)”, and the door, glass and crumb-tray sentences match nearly word for word. But the Elite is 45 litres with a 16 by 12.5 inch floor, and this oven is 35 quarts, about 33.1 litres, with a 14.96 by 10.4 inch floor. Two ovens of different sizes cannot both fit exactly 18 slices and the same 7 lb turkey on the strength of the same sentence.

Its own interior is smaller than its own quarts. Multiplied out, 14.96 by 10.4 by 11 inches is about 1,711 cubic inches: roughly 28.0 litres or 29.6 quarts, against 35 claimed. Some of that gap is the height being measured only to the bottom rack position. Even so, this is the most useful oven on the page for showing how far a quart figure can sit from what you can measure. Against the outside of the box, 21.0 by 14.9 by 13.0 inches, the stated 35 quarts would be about half the volume; the measured interior about 42%, close to the branded band of 34% to 40%.

The kit does not match the claim either. Eighteen slices need two racks. The title ends “Equipped with a tray and a rack.” One rack. The bullet lists “12 cooking functions” and then names 11: Convection Baking, Bake, Pizza, Broil, Fries, Reheat, Toast, Bagel, Keep Warm, Roast and Snacks. The temperature range is “158°F to 482°F”, with independent top and bottom elements and convection; no wattage is stated.

What to weigh. Sold by Chiao Electric, not Amazon.com. 15.0 pounds, the lightest stated weight here. It ranks #179,704 overall and #63 in Convection Ovens. No warranty is stated. The Elite Gourmet, whose bullet this one borrows, costs a little more and has the cavity to back the words; the Oster costs less and its claim sits comfortably inside its box.

Pros

  • Interior dimensions stated, rare on this page
  • Convection with independent top and bottom elements
  • 158–482°F stated
  • Simple three-knob control
  • French doors; slide-out crumb tray
  • 15.0 pounds, the lightest stated

Cons

  • 10.4 in floor cannot hold its stated 12 in pizza
  • Capacity bullet copied from the Elite Gourmet
  • Interior works out near 29.6 qt, not 35
  • One rack included for an 18-slice claim
  • 12 functions claimed, 11 named
  • Third-party seller; no wattage or warranty

Best for: A buyer who wants a knob-controlled convection oven and will measure the cavity against their pans on arrival.

Seven Units, Converted to Two

The first job was to put every size claim on one scale. Six listings state quarts only, one states litres only, one states both units consistently, one states both units inconsistently, and one pair states neither. Below, every volume is converted to the other unit. The conversions are our arithmetic, using 1 US quart = 0.946 litres, and are rounded to one decimal place.

Oven As stated Converted (ours) Interior inches
Garvee Commercial 68L / 60Qt 68 L = 71.9 qt; 60 qt = 56.8 L 18.3 x 14.6 x 13.8
Elite Gourmet ETO4510B# 47.5Qt / 45L 45 L = 47.6 qt; agree 16 x 12.5 x 12
Oster Extra-Large 42L About 44.4 qt Not stated
VBGK HH3811B 35 QT About 33.1 L 14.96 x 10.4 x 11
Ninja Double Oven Pro DCT801 30.2 Qt About 28.6 L Not stated
Nuwave Bravo 30 QT About 28.4 L Not stated
Midea Flexify Pro 26.4 QT About 25.0 L Not stated
Emeril Lagasse French Door 26QT About 24.6 L Not stated
Ninja Prestige DT501 None — Not stated
Ninja Prestige DT551 None — Not stated

Converted, the stated range runs from about 24.6 to 68 litres. The largest stated cavity is between 2.3 and 2.8 times the smallest, depending on which of the Garvee’s two figures you believe. Every one of these ovens is sold as extra large. There is no agreed threshold, and on this page the label covers both ends. Four of the ten state 30 quarts or less.

A clear measuring jug with marked volume lines on a kitchen surface
One US quart is about 0.946 litres, so 42 litres outsizes five ovens sold by the quart here.

Checking Each Claim Against the Outside of the Box

No listing lets us measure a cavity directly, except by its own figures. But eight of the ten give exterior dimensions alongside a volume, and a cavity cannot be bigger than the box around it. So we multiplied out each exterior and set the stated volume against it. This is a sanity check, not a measurement. Walls, insulation, doors, elements and control panels all take space, so a cavity that claims a large share of its box deserves a second look.

Oven Exterior W x L x H (in) Box volume (ours) Stated volume Share of box
Oster 42L 24.02 x 20.51 x 15.28 About 123.4 L 42 L About 34%

Garvee Commercial Fields look like carton figures — 68 L / 60 qt —

Four ovens land between 34% and 40%. Oster, Emeril, Ninja and Elite Gourmet are four different makers with four different designs, and their claims sit in a narrow band. That consistency is the best evidence on the page that those figures describe something real.

Three claim more, and one of them shows why that matters. The Midea claims about 46% of its box, the VBGK about 50% and the Nuwave about 60%. The VBGK is the only one of the three that also gives interior dimensions, and those multiply out to about 29.6 quarts, or about 42% of its box: almost exactly where the first four sit. In other words, its 35 quart claim outruns its own measurements. The Nuwave’s 30 quarts in a box listed at 12.88 inches deep and 11.13 tall is the biggest stretch on the page; either a dimension field is short or the quart figure is generous. We cannot prove which from the listings, so we report the arithmetic and let it count against the claim until an interior measurement settles it.

What Each Listing Says Actually Fits

Food claims are the units most buyers actually think in. They are also the units sellers judge for themselves, with no standard behind them. Here is every one on the page.

Oven Stated volume Poultry Pizza Toast Pans or racks
Ninja Prestige DT501/DT551 Not stated 12 lb turkey Programme only 9 per rack Two 9 x 9 trays
Elite Gourmet 47.5 qt / 45 L 7 lb turkey 2 x 12 in 18 on 2 racks 4 rack positions
VBGK 35 qt 7 lb turkey 2 x 12 in 18 on 2 racks One rack included
Midea Flexify Pro 26.4 qt 5 lb chicken 12 in 6 Not stated
Ninja Double Oven DCT801 30.2 qt 4.5 lb chicken Programme only 6 2 sheet pans, size not stated
Oster 42 L “Full-size” chicken Two “large” Not stated 15 x 12 pan
Garvee Commercial 68 L / 60 qt “Whole chicken” Unsized Not stated Four 17.5 x 12.8 racks
Nuwave Bravo 30 qt None Heater advice only Not stated 4 rack positions
Emeril 26 qt None None Not stated Not stated

The biggest bird comes from the oven with no volume. Ninja’s Prestige claims a 12 lb turkey. The next-largest claim is 7 lb, from an oven that states 45 litres. Either Ninja’s cavity is unusually well shaped for a bird, or Ninja is more generous in what it counts as fitting. The listing gives no interior height, so there is no way to tell from the page. If the turkey is your reason for buying, the claim is worth more than any quart figure, and worth confirming.

Slice counts are not derived from volume. 26.4 quarts and 30.2 quarts both say six slices. 35 quarts and 47.5 quarts both say eighteen. The two eighteens come from the same sentence, copied from one listing to the other. A slice count tells you how one seller arranged bread on a rack, nothing more.

The 12-inch pizza is the most common sized claim and the easiest to check. Three ovens name 12 inches. Two of those give interior inches. The Elite Gourmet’s 12.5-inch depth passes. The VBGK’s 10.4-inch width fails. The Midea gives no interior figure, and its box is only 13.7 inches deep, so you are taking the seller’s word. The Garvee’s 17.5 by 12.8 inch racks pass easily, though it never names a size.

A whole roast chicken on a wooden board between a fork and a knife
Stated poultry limits run from a 4.5 lb chicken to a 12 lb turkey, unrelated to quarts.

Popularity Runs Opposite to Stated Size

Star ratings were not captured for this roundup, so the only popularity measure here is Amazon’s Best Sellers Rank, as returned on 5 October 2026. Ranks move constantly, sometimes hourly, and Amazon pools variants, so the two Ninja Prestige models share one. Read the order, not the precise numbers.

Oven Overall rank Category rank Stated volume
Emeril 26QT #160 #7 in Air Fryers About 24.6 L
Ninja Double Oven DCT801 #1,407 #3 in Convection Ovens About 28.6 L
Ninja Prestige DT501 and DT551 #5,161 #17 in Toaster Ovens Not stated
Midea Flexify Pro 26.4 QT #8,852 #54 in Air Fryers About 25.0 L
Oster 42L #8,946 #22 in Toaster Ovens 42 L
Nuwave Bravo 30 QT #10,550 #24 in Toaster Ovens About 28.4 L
Elite Gourmet 47.5Qt #84,434 #32 in Convection Ovens 45 L
VBGK 35 QT #179,704 #63 in Convection Ovens About 33.1 L
Garvee Commercial #328,747 #112 in Convection Ovens 68 L / 60 qt

The three listings that give interior inches are the three lowest-ranked. Elite Gourmet, VBGK and Garvee are the only ovens whose cavities you can measure from the page, and they rank between #84,434 and #328,747. Rank measures recent sales, not how well an oven cooks or how honest its listing is, and a rank alone tells you nothing about owner satisfaction. It does tell you that the best-documented capacity is not what most buyers are choosing, and that the top six ranks all went to listings sold by Amazon.com.

What Each Step Up Actually Buys

Oster, Nuwave, Emeril. Three different bargains. The Oster buys the cheapest stated litre on the page, with a claim that sits comfortably inside its box and a stated 15 by 12 pan. The Nuwave buys control, a probe, 50–500°F and four rack positions, with the least believable quart figure here. The Emeril buys the best rank and the smallest cavity. If capacity is the brief, the Oster is the budget pick by a distance.

Midea, VBGK, Ninja Prestige DT501, Elite Gourmet. The widest spread of ideas. The Midea buys the smallest footprint, a stated warranty and specific food claims. The VBGK buys interior dimensions that contradict its own pizza claim. The Ninja DT501 buys the largest bird claim and no volume. The Elite Gourmet buys the most checkable capacity on the page, with a rotisserie and four rack positions.

Ninja Prestige DT551, Ninja Double Oven DCT801. The DT551 is the DT501 with a thermometer. The DCT801 buys two independent ovens in 30.2 quarts, the premium domestic option here. You pay for flexibility and brand, not for space.

Garvee Commercial. The largest interior, four racks, 1750W and 572°F, on a 68-litre figure. It is the only oven here built for batch baking rather than family meals, and the only one that needs a circuit of its own.

Price does not track size. The three most expensive domestic ovens, both Prestiges and the Double Oven, are the three that state the least about volume. The cheapest stated litre, on the Oster, is also one of the most believable claims. On this page, money mostly buys brand, features and programmes; capacity you have to check yourself.

What to Check Before You Buy

Convert the Volume Before You Compare

Quarts and litres are not interchangeable at a glance. One US quart is about 0.946 litres, so a litre figure is about 5% smaller than the same quart figure. The Oster’s 42 litres is about 44.4 quarts, more than the 35, 30.2, 30, 26.4 and 26 quart ovens here. If a listing gives both units, check that they agree; the Garvee’s 68 litres and 60 quarts do not.

Look for Interior Inches

Only three of ten listings give them. If yours does not, ask the seller, or look for the manual online before you buy. Width and depth decide pizzas and pans; height decides birds and tall cakes. Note where the height is measured: two listings here measure from the element to the bottom rack, not to the floor.

Hold the Food Claim Against Your Own Kit

Measure your largest baking dish, pizza stone or roasting tin, and the height of the biggest bird you cook. Then check them against the most specific claim the listing makes: a pan size beats a pizza size, which beats a slice count. A 12-inch pizza needs 12 inches of floor in both directions; the VBGK’s own figures give 10.4 one way.

Sanity-Check the Number Against the Box

Multiply the outside dimensions in inches and divide by 61 to get litres. On this page, four ovens from four makers claim 34% to 40% of that figure as cooking space. A claim near half or above, like the Nuwave’s 60%, deserves a question to the seller.

Measure the Worktop, the Doors and the Wall Cupboards

Footprints here run from about 16.9 by 13.7 inches to 24.02 by 20.51. French doors need swing room at both sides, a single door needs room in front, and every oven needs air space above and behind. Check the gap under your wall cupboards against the oven’s height plus clearance; heights run from 11.13 to 16.8 inches.

Find the Wattage and Your Circuit

Nine of ten listings do not state a wattage. The one that does, the Garvee, gives 1750W, about 14.6 amps at 120V. A large oven on a shared circuit with a kettle can trip it. Read the rating plate or manual, and know which outlets share a breaker.

Check the Seller and the Warranty

Eight of these ovens were sold by Amazon.com at capture; the VBGK came from Chiao Electric and the Garvee from Garvee. Only two listings state a warranty, the Ninja DT551 and the Midea, both one year. Ask about cover before you order, especially from a third party.

Common Mistakes

  • Comparing quarts with litres directly. The Oster’s 42 litres is about 44.4 quarts, larger than five ovens sold by the quart.
  • Taking both units on one listing on trust. The Garvee says 68L and 60Qt; 68 litres is about 71.9 quarts.
  • Assuming more quarts means more food. A 26.4 quart oven and a 30.2 quart oven both claim six slices; the smaller one claims the bigger chicken.
  • Believing a pizza claim the dimensions cannot support. The VBGK promises 12-inch pizzas on a floor it states as 10.4 inches across.
  • Ruling out an oven with no volume. The Ninja Prestige states no quarts but claims a 12 lb turkey, the largest bird on the page.
  • Assuming a big brand’s quarts are conservative. The Nuwave’s 30 quarts would fill about 60% of its listed box.
  • Ignoring the circuit. The Garvee’s 1750W is about 14.6 amps at 120V, close to a 15-amp circuit on its own.
  • Measuring width and forgetting the doors. French doors need swing room, and the Oster alone is 24.02 inches wide.

Who Should Buy Which

Buy the Ninja Prestige Smart XL DT501 if you size an oven by the turkey. It claims a 12 lb bird, two 9 by 9 trays and 9 slices per rack, and is sold by Amazon.com well below list. Accept that it gives no quarts, litres or interior inches.

Buy the Elite Gourmet ETO4510B# if you want to measure before you buy. 47.5 quarts and 45 litres that agree, interior dimensions of 16 by 12.5 by 12 inches, four rack positions and a rotisserie. Accept a 450°F ceiling and no stated wattage.

Buy the Oster Extra-Large 42L if you want a credible large oven for the least money. About 44.4 quarts, a stated 15 by 12 pan, magnetised French doors, sold by Amazon.com. Make room for 24.02 inches of width.

Buy the Ninja Double Oven Pro DCT801 if you cook two things at once. Two independent ovens and 12 programmes in 30.2 quarts. Accept a 4.5-pound chicken as its stated poultry limit.

Buy the Ninja Prestige DT551 if you want the DT501 with a probe thermometer. Same 12 lb turkey claim, plus a stated 1 Year warranty.

Buy the Nuwave Bravo if you want fine control in a low box. 50–500°F in 5°F steps, a probe and four rack positions, 11.13 inches tall. Do not count on 30 quarts until you have seen the interior measured.

Buy the Midea Flexify Pro if worktop space is tight and you want French doors. The smallest footprint here, a 12-inch pizza mode, a 5-lb chicken and a stated 1 Year warranty. Ask for the interior depth if pizza is the point.

Buy the Emeril Lagasse 26QT if you want the oven most buyers choose. #160 overall and a compact footprint. Accept the smallest stated volume and no fit claims.

Buy the Garvee Commercial if you bake on four racks at once. The largest interior here, 1750W and 572°F. Give it its own circuit and confirm the footprint first.

Buy the VBGK 35 QT only if you have measured its interior against your pans. Its stated 10.4-inch width rules out the 12-inch pizza it promises, and the Elite Gourmet has the cavity to back its claims.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best extra large countertop oven?

For most households, the Ninja Prestige Smart XL DT501. Its listing makes the largest food claim on the page, a 12 lb turkey, along with two 9 by 9 baking trays, 20 cookies and 9 slices of toast on a rack, and it is sold by Amazon.com well below its list price. Its weakness is that it states no volume and no interior dimensions, so you are trusting Ninja’s judgement of what fits. If you would rather measure before you buy, the Elite Gourmet ETO4510B# is the best-documented capacity here: 47.5 quarts and 45 litres that agree, interior dimensions of 16 by 12.5 by 12 inches, and room for two 12-inch pizzas on separate racks. On a budget, the Oster 42L states a 15 by 12 pan size and its 42 litres sit comfortably inside its box.

How big is an extra large toaster oven?

There is no standard. On this page, ovens sold as extra large state volumes from 26 quarts, about 24.6 litres, up to 68 litres, and one pair states no volume at all. Converted to one unit, the largest stated cavity is between 2.3 and 2.8 times the smallest, and four of the ten state 30 quarts or less. The more useful measure is what fits. Across these ten listings, extra large means anything from a 4.5-pound chicken to a 12 lb turkey, one 12-inch pizza to two, and six to eighteen slices of toast. Only three listings give interior dimensions, from 14.96 by 10.4 inches of floor on the VBGK to 18.3 by 14.6 inches on the Garvee commercial oven. If you need an exact answer for a particular dish, look for interior inches or a stated pan size, and treat a quart figure on its own as a rough guide.

How do I convert countertop oven quarts to litres?

Multiply quarts by 0.946 to get litres, or divide litres by 0.946 to get quarts. These are US quarts, which is what American listings use. So the Emeril’s 26 quarts is about 24.6 litres, the Midea’s 26.4 quarts about 25.0 litres, the Nuwave’s 30 quarts about 28.4 litres and the Ninja Double Oven’s 30.2 quarts about 28.6 litres. Going the other way, the Oster’s 42 litres is about 44.4 quarts and the Elite Gourmet’s 45 litres about 47.6 quarts, which matches the 47.5 quarts in its title. The check also catches errors: the Garvee lists 68 litres and 60 quarts together, but 68 litres is about 71.9 quarts, so the two figures cannot describe the same cavity. To turn interior inches into litres, multiply width, depth and height and divide by 61; to get quarts, divide the cubic inches by 57.75 instead.

Will a 12-inch pizza fit in an extra large countertop oven?

Usually, but check the floor rather than the label. A 12-inch pizza needs at least 12 inches of usable floor in both directions. Three listings here promise a 12-inch pizza, and two of them give interior dimensions you can test. The Elite Gourmet’s 16 by 12.5 inch floor passes, and its claim of two 12-inch pizzas works one per rack, not side by side. The VBGK gives an interior of 14.96 by 10.4 inches and promises two 12-inch pizzas in the same bullet; by its own figures, the floor is too narrow. The Midea promises one 12-inch pizza in a box 13.7 inches deep on the outside, which is tight but not ruled out. The Garvee’s 17.5 by 12.8 inch racks would take a 12-inch pizza each, although the listing never names a size. The Oster promises two large pizzas without a diameter. If the listing does not give inches, ask before you buy.

What size turkey fits in a countertop oven?

According to these listings, between 7 and 12 pounds, where a turkey is mentioned at all. The Ninja Prestige DT501 and DT551 claim a 12 lb turkey, the largest on the page. The Elite Gourmet claims 7 lb, and the VBGK claims the same 7 lb in a bullet copied from the Elite. The other ovens name chickens instead: 4.5 pounds on the Ninja Double Oven, 5 lb on the Midea, and an unweighed “full-size” or “whole” chicken on the Oster and Garvee. The Nuwave and Emeril name no bird at all. These are each seller’s own judgement. Height is what limits a bird, and only the Elite and VBGK give one, measured from the element to the bottom rack position: 12 and 11 inches. For a bird above 12 lb, a dedicated turkey roaster or your main oven is the safer choice, and a probe, as on the Ninja DT551 or Nuwave, helps on any large joint.

Is a commercial countertop convection oven suitable for a home kitchen?

It can be, with planning. The Garvee on this page runs on 120V with a standard 5-15P household plug, so it needs no new outlet, and its listing names family gatherings among its uses. But it draws 1750W through its element, about 14.6 amps at 120V by our arithmetic, which is close to the whole capacity of a typical 15-amp household circuit. In practice it should have a circuit to itself, without a kettle or toaster sharing the line. Its interior is 18.3 by 14.6 by 13.8 inches with four 17.5 by 12.8 inch racks, so it suits batch baking. It has no air-fry or toast presets, just temperature and timer knobs, and its listing’s exterior and weight fields look like shipping figures, so confirm the real footprint with the seller. It is the dearest oven on the page by a wide margin, well above the Ninja Double Oven, the dearest domestic one.

Final Verdict

Best OverallNinja Prestige Smart XL DT501

A 12 lb turkey, two 9 x 9 trays and 9 slices per rack, from Amazon.com. No volume stated.

Most Measurable CapacityElite Gourmet ETO4510B# 47.5 Qt

47.5 quarts and 45 litres that agree, interior of 16 x 12.5 x 12 inches, four rack positions.

Best BudgetOster Extra-Large 42L French Door

About 44.4 quarts, a stated 15 x 12 pan and two large pizzas, from Amazon.com.

Ten ovens sold as extra large describe their size in seven units, and almost none can be compared directly. Six give quarts only, one gives litres only, one gives both consistently, one gives both inconsistently, and the Ninja Prestige pair gives neither. Converted, the stated range runs from about 24.6 to 68 litres. Only the Elite Gourmet, the VBGK and the Garvee tell you the inside in inches, and the VBGK’s inches rule out its own 12-inch pizza.

Some numbers hold up against the box and some do not. Four ovens from four makers claim between 34% and 40% of their outside volume. The Midea claims about 46%, the VBGK about 50% and the Nuwave about 60%, and the VBGK’s own interior measures out at about 29.6 quarts against 35 claimed. Food claims follow no rule: six slices from both 26.4 and 30.2 quarts, eighteen from both 35 and 47.5, and the biggest turkey from the listing with no volume at all.

So size an extra large oven by what you will put in it. Measure your largest pan, pizza stone and bird. Look for a stated pan size or interior inches first, a food claim second and a quart figure last. Then check the worktop, the doors and the circuit, because only one listing here tells you its wattage, and it draws about 14.6 amps.

If you buy one oven from this page, make it the Ninja Prestige Smart XL DT501: the largest food claim here, a 12 lb turkey and two 9 by 9 trays, sold by Amazon.com well below list. If you would rather trust a ruler than a turkey, the Elite Gourmet is the only domestic oven on the page whose capacity you can verify before it arrives.
