Every ceramic cookware set here leads with a piece count, and a piece is anything in the box: a lid, a pan protector, a spoon, a handle. Eight of the ten sets itemise what they contain, and we counted every line. Across those eight there are 134 pieces, and 46 of them are pans. That is about one piece in three, by our arithmetic. The 25 pan protectors and 26 utensils add up to 51 pieces, more than the pans themselves.
The biggest boxes do not hold the most pans. The 21-piece CAROTE holds six; the 12-piece Nuwave holds seven, and every other piece in it is a lid. Coating claims range from detailed to empty: the Nuwave cites outside PFAS testing, while two sets make no chemical claim at all.
So this guide sorts the ten by the pans in each box once the accessories are set aside, then by what each listing says about its coating, induction, oven limit, handles, dishwasher claim and warranty. Star ratings and review counts were not captured for this roundup; popularity below is Amazon’s Best Sellers Rank only.

Best Sellers Ranks and specifications are taken from each manufacturer’s Amazon listing as displayed on 5 October 2026 through a United States connection, and may change. Pans are our count from each listing’s own contents line. We count frying pans, sauté pans, saucepans, stockpots, casseroles and Dutch ovens as pans; lids, handles, utensils, pan protectors, mats and containers are not. The Ninja’s user and recipe guide is listed in its box but not in its 11 pieces. The Umite Chef names five pans, five utensils, a mat and four protectors but does not count its lids or handles, so six of its 21 pieces are unaccounted for by the listing. The Farberware and the Astercook give no contents list. “Not named” for the 19-piece CAROTE means it says “ALL kinds of stoves” without using the word induction. Oven figures are as stated; the Umite Chef gives 500°F in one bullet and a 480°F maximum in its care note. Ranks are overall Best Sellers Ranks as returned on 5 October 2026; all ten are filed in Cookware Sets, from #3 to #173. Four sets were sold by Amazon.com at capture and six by their brands. Star ratings and review counts were not captured for any product here.

How We Chose These Ten
We researched current listings, compared manufacturer specifications and documentation, and read each listing’s contents line and coating claims word by word. We did not carry out hands-on testing, and nothing below is presented as measured performance data. Star ratings and review counts were not captured for this roundup. We used Amazon Best Sellers Rank, buy-box stock and listing specifications instead, and nothing on this page describes or implies how owners have scored these sets.
- Ceramic-coated sets only — every product here is a multi-piece set sold as ceramic or ceramic nonstick. Single pans, stainless steel sets, PTFE nonstick sets and enamelled cast iron were not in the running.
- Every piece counted — we went through each contents line and sorted every item into pans, lids, handles, utensils, protectors and extras. A pan is something you cook in. Where a listing does not itemise, we say so rather than guess.
- Coating claims recorded word for word — which substances each listing says its coating is free of, whether it qualifies that with “intentionally added”, and whether it cites any testing. A substance the listing does not name is recorded as not named, not as present.
- “Ceramic” checked against the bullets — where the title says ceramic and the bullets say only nonstick, or granite, we report both.
- Six practical questions — induction, oven temperature, detachable handles, dishwasher use and warranty, plus the base and body metal, logged only where the listing states them. Silence is marked not stated.
- Model numbers compared — we checked model and part numbers across all ten to catch one set sold under several listings. The three CAROTE sets carry three different model numbers.
- Popularity from Best Sellers Rank only — ranks are quoted exactly as returned on 5 October 2026, overall and in Cookware Sets. Ranks move constantly.
- Verified stock and seller — each set was the buy-box offer and in stock on amazon.com on 5 October 2026.

The Ten Ceramic Cookware Sets in Detail
1. Ninja Ceramic Cookware Set, 11-Piece, Navy Blue, CW49011 — Best Overall

The smallest box on the page, and the only listing that answers every question this guide asks.
Key Specifications
| Pieces | 11: 5 pans, 3 lids, 3 utensils |
|---|---|
| Pans | 9.5 in and 11 in fry pans; 2.5 qt saucepan; 3 qt sauté pan; 6 qt stock pot |
| Coating claim | Ceramic Lock; made without PTFE, PFOA, lead or cadmium; PFAS not named |
| Body and base | 3.3mm aluminium base, stated |
| Induction | Yes, stated |
| Oven-safe | 400°F, and broiler, stated |
| Handles | Silicone; not detachable |
| Dishwasher | Dishwasher safe, stated |
| Warranty | 5-year nonstick guarantee, when used as directed |
| Metal utensils | Metal utensil-safe, stated |
| Model | CW49011 |
| Best Sellers Rank | #6,076 overall; #44 in Cookware Sets |
Why We Recommend It
Count the box first, because it is the most honest one here. The listing’s contents line reads “9.5” Fry Pan, 11” Fry Pan, 2.5qt Saucepan with Lid, 3qt Sauté Pan with Lid, 6qt Stock Pot with Lid, Spatula, Spoon, Slotted Spoon & User/Recipe Guide.” That is five pans, three lids and three utensils, eleven pieces in all; the guide comes in the box but is not counted. Five of eleven is 45% pans, by our arithmetic, the third-highest share on the page. There are no pan protectors, no storage lids and no mat padding the number.
It is the only listing that answers all six practical questions. Induction: “induction compatible”, and “compatible with gas, electric, glass ceramic, and induction stovetops”. Oven: “OVEN SAFE TO 400°F”, and the listing adds that the set can go “from stovetop to oven or broiler”. Dishwasher: “dishwasher safe”. Warranty: a 5-year nonstick guarantee. Coating: made without PTFE, PFOA, lead or cadmium. Handles: silicone, fixed. Every other listing here leaves at least one of those blank, and most leave two or three.
It names the category’s weak point and puts a guarantee behind its answer. The first bullet says the “dual-bonded coating” preserves nonstick performance “for years, while traditional ceramic cookware that wears out quickly”. That is an unusual thing for a ceramic listing to admit about ceramic. The backing is the sixth bullet: “Ninja Extended Life Ceramic is fully backed by Ninja to maintain nonstick performance for 5 years (when used as directed).” It is the only warranty on the page that is about the nonstick surface itself rather than defects. The directions it depends on are not reproduced in the listing, so ask for them, and keep the receipt.
It is also the only set that says metal utensils are fine. “Metal utensil-safe and all range capable” is a strong claim for a ceramic surface, and no other listing here makes it. The chemical claim is narrower than the best on the page: it names PTFE and PFOA, plus lead and cadmium, but not PFAS as a class. PTFE and PFOA are both members of the PFAS family, which runs to thousands of substances, so the four listings that use the word PFAS cover more ground on paper.
What to weigh. 400°F is the lowest stated oven figure on the page, tied with the T-Fal, and the listing does not say whether the silicone handles set that limit. The five pans skip the small end: there is no saucepan below 2.5 quarts and no 8-inch frying pan. The base is stated at “3.3mm aluminum”. The listed weight is 14.95 pounds, which may be the shipping weight. It is sold by Amazon.com and ranks #6,076 overall and #44 in Cookware Sets, eighth of ten here. You buy it for the paperwork as much as the pans: it is the one set where you do not have to guess.
Pros
- Answers induction, oven, dishwasher, warranty, coating and handle questions
- 5-year guarantee on nonstick performance
- Metal utensil-safe, stated; the only one here
- 45% of pieces are pans, third-highest share
- Broiler use stated with the 400°F figure
- Sold by Amazon.com
Cons
- 400°F, the lowest stated oven figure here
- PFAS not named as a class
- No small saucepan or 8 in frying pan
- Guarantee depends on directions not shown in the listing
- Handles do not detach for stacking
- Eighth-best rank of the ten
Best for: A buyer who wants every claim in writing, including dishwasher use and a nonstick guarantee, and can live with five pans.
2. Nuwave Healthy Duralon Blue Ceramic Nonstick Cookware Set, 12-Piece, PFAS Free — Most Pans per Piece

Twelve pieces, seven pans and five lids: no spoons, no protectors, and the highest share of cookware on the page.
Key Specifications
| Pieces | 12: 7 pans, 5 lids |
|---|---|
| Pans | 8 in and 9.5 in fry pans; 1.5, 2 and 3 qt saucepans; 5 qt and 8 qt stockpots |
| Coating claim | Gen10 Duralon Blue ceramic; free of PFAS, PTFE, PFOA, lead and cadmium; 106 PFAS tested by TÜV Rheinland, none detected |
| Hardness | 9H, stated |
| Body and base | Forged; metal not named |
| Induction | Not stated |
| Oven-safe | Not stated |
| Handles | Not described |
| Dishwasher | Not stated |
| Warranty | Not stated |
| Model field | Ceramic Nonstick Cookware Set copper; part 623343-31424 |
| Best Sellers Rank | #4,431 overall; #30 in Cookware Sets |
Why We Recommend It
This is the box where the piece count means what it says. The first bullet lists “8” Fry Pan, 9.5” Fry Pan, 1.5-Qt Saucepan with Lid, 2-Qt Saucepan with Lid, 3-Qt Saucepan with Lid, 5-Qt Stockpot with Lid, 8-Qt Stockpot with Lid”. Seven pans and five lids make twelve. Seven of twelve is 58% pans, by our arithmetic, the highest share on the page. It holds more pans than either itemised 21-piece set, six in the CAROTE and five in the Umite Chef, and only the 25-piece CAROTE holds more.
It also holds the most pot. Add up the five pots with a stated capacity and the total is 19.5 quarts, our arithmetic again, the most on the page; the 25-piece CAROTE comes next at 16 quarts across its saucepans, sauté pan and stockpot. The 8-quart stockpot is the largest single vessel among the ten, and the three saucepans step up in half-quart and one-quart stages, which is the spread a household that cooks sauces, grains and stock all week will use. If your cooking is mostly in pots, this is the set built for it.
It backs its coating claim with the only outside testing on the page. “Ultra-non-stick Gen10 Duralon Blue is an ceramic coating free of PFAS, PTFE, PFOA, lead, and cadmium. It does not emit toxic gases at higher temperatures. TÜV Rheinland tested 106 PFAS elements; none detected.” No other listing names a testing body or a number of substances checked. The listing also rates the coating’s hardness at 9H, adding “Since diamond is rated at 10H, it is extremely strong”. That comparison is the listing’s own framing; a hardness figure says how a surface resists scratching, not how long it keeps releasing food.
Then it goes quiet on everything practical. It does not say whether the set works on induction. It gives no oven temperature and never mentions the oven at all. It says nothing about the dishwasher, the handles or a warranty. The construction bullet says “PREMIUM FORGED CONSTRUCTION” without naming the metal that is forged. Of the six questions this guide asks, it answers one, the coating, and answers it better than anyone. If you cook on induction, ask before you buy.
What to weigh. The frying pans are the small end of the page: 9.5 inches is the largest, and there is no sauté pan, so a family-size sear needs another, wider pan. The listing’s fields disagree on colour: the title says Duralon Blue, which is the coating’s name, while the colour field says Metallic Rustic Copper and the model field reads “Ceramic Nonstick Cookware Set copper”, so check the photo against what you expect. The listed weight is 22.5 pounds, the heaviest here. It is sold by Amazon.com and ranks #4,431 overall and #30 in Cookware Sets, and it is the premium end of the page.
Pros
- 7 of 12 pieces are pans, the highest share here
- 19.5 qt of pot capacity, the most on the page by our arithmetic
- 8 qt stockpot, the largest vessel among the ten
- PFAS, PTFE, PFOA, lead and cadmium all named
- Only listing citing outside PFAS testing
- No protectors or spoons padding the count
Cons
- Induction not stated
- No oven figure, and the oven is not mentioned
- Dishwasher, handles and warranty not stated
- Largest frying pan is 9.5 in; no sauté pan
- Colour fields conflict
- Forged metal not named
Best for: A pot-heavy cook on gas or electric who wants the most cookware per piece and the best-documented coating claim.
3. CAROTE 25-Piece Ceramic Cookware Set with Detachable Handles, Oatmeal, A12681 — Best Detachable-Handle Set

The most pans on the page, eight, and the only detachable set that names PFAS and allows the dishwasher.
Key Specifications
| Pieces | 25: 8 pans, 3 lids, 2 handles, 5 utensils, 7 pan protectors |
|---|---|
| Pans | 8, 10 and 12 in frying pans; 1.5, 2 and 3 qt saucepans; 4 qt sauté pan; 5.5 qt stockpot |
| Lids | Sauté pan lid, stockpot lid, one 6.5-7-8 in universal lid |
| Coating claim | Made without PFAS, PFOA, PFOS and PTFE |
| Body and base | Not stated |
| Induction | Yes, stated |
| Oven-safe | Oven named; no temperature |
| Handles | 2 detachable |
| Dishwasher | By hand or in the dishwasher, stated |
| Warranty | Not stated |
| Model | A12681 |
| Best Sellers Rank | #4,022 overall; #28 in Cookware Sets |
Why We Recommend It
Twenty-five pieces, and eight of them are pans. The contents line reads “8”/10”/12” frying pans, 1.5-qt/2-qt/3-qt saucepans, 4-qt sauté pan with lid, 5.5-qt stockpot with lid, 6.5”-7”-8” universal lid, 2 detachable handles, 5 utensil, 7 pan protectors”. Eight pans, two dedicated lids, one universal lid, two handles, five utensils and seven protectors make 25. Eight of 25 is 32% pans, by our arithmetic. The share is middling, but the number is the highest on the page, and the seven protectors are also the most on the page.
The spread is the widest here. Three frying pans at 8, 10 and 12 inches, three saucepans at 1.5, 2 and 3 quarts, a 4-quart sauté pan and a 5.5-quart stockpot. Add the stated quarts and the pots and sauté pan come to 16 quarts, our arithmetic, second only to the Nuwave’s 19.5. The 12-inch frying pan is the joint-largest frying pan among the ten, matched only by the T-Fal’s covered 12-inch.
The lids are the thin part. Three lids for eight pans. The sauté pan and stockpot each get their own; everything else shares a “6.5”-7”-8” universal lid”, which by its stated sizes tops out at 8 inches. Nothing in the listing covers the 10- or 12-inch frying pans. If you braise or steam in a wide frying pan, budget for a separate lid or use the sauté pan lid if it fits; the listing does not say whether it does.
It names the most chemicals of the three CAROTE sets, and allows the dishwasher. “Made without PFAS, PFOA, PFOS, and PTFE” is one of only four claims on the page that use the word PFAS. The cleaning bullet says food slides off “whether washed by hand or in the dishwasher”, which makes it one of two sets that state dishwasher use in a bullet. Induction is named, alongside gas, electric and ceramic. The handles come off so the pans nest, and the listing says they “save up to 70% more storage space when stacked”, the same figure the 19-piece CAROTE uses.
What to weigh. The listing says the set can “transition from stovetop to oven” and gives no temperature. It does not say what the pans are made of. And unlike both of its CAROTE siblings, which state 12 months, it gives no warranty at all. It carries model number A12681, not the A16482 of the 21-piece or the A12518-1 of the 19-piece, and it is sold by Carote Brands rather than CaroteDirect, so treat the sibling warranty as unconfirmed for this set. The listed weight is 17.68 pounds. It ranks #4,022 overall and #28 in Cookware Sets. With two handles for eight pans, you can lift at most two pans at once without swapping.
Pros
- 8 pans, the most on the page
- PFAS, PFOA, PFOS and PTFE named
- Dishwasher use stated
- Induction stated
- 12 in frying pan, joint-largest here
- Pans nest with the handles off
Cons
- No warranty stated, unlike the other CAROTE sets
- No oven temperature given
- Only three lids for eight pans
- Body metal not stated
- 17 of 25 pieces are not pans
- Two handles shared across eight pans
Best for: A small-kitchen or RV cook who wants the most pans that nest, with PFAS and dishwasher use in writing.
4. CAROTE 21-Piece Ceramic Cookware Set, Green, A16482 — Best-Ranked Itemised Set

Twenty-one pieces, six pans, and a coating claim that names no chemical at all.
Key Specifications
| Pieces | 21: 6 pans, 3 lids, 5 utensils, 1 container, 6 pan protectors |
|---|---|
| Pans | 8, 9.5 and 11 in frying pans; 2.5 qt saucepan; 5 qt sauté pan; 5.5 qt stockpot |
| Lids | Glass with silicone edge, on the three pots |
| Coating claim | “Free of hazardous chemicals”; no substance named |
| Body and base | Not stated |
| Induction | Not stated |
| Oven-safe | Not stated |
| Handles | Not described; none listed as detachable |
| Dishwasher | Not stated |
| Warranty | 12 months from purchase |
| Model | A16482 (part number A09035_PARENT) |
| Best Sellers Rank | #432 overall; #4 in Cookware Sets |
Why We Recommend It
Six pans, and six pan protectors to match. The contents line reads “8’’ frying pan, 9.5’’ frying pan, 11’’ frying pan, 2.5-qt saucepan with lid, 5.5-qt stockpot with lid, 5-qt sauté pan with lid, 5* Utensils, container, 6*pan protectors.” Six pans, three lids, five utensils, a container and six protectors make 21. Six of 21 is 29% pans, by our arithmetic. Fifteen pieces of the 21 are things you do not cook in, and the protectors alone equal the pans.
The pans are well chosen, though. Three frying pans at 8, 9.5 and 11 inches cover eggs for one to a family fry-up, and the three lidded pots, a 2.5-quart saucepan, a 5-quart sauté pan and a 5.5-quart stockpot, total 13 quarts by our arithmetic. The lids have “silicone edge that creates a tight seal to lock in moisture and flavor”, which the listing says also “protects against chipping”. Only the T-Fal matches that layout of three frying pans and three lidded pots, and the T-Fal ranks far lower.
The coating claim is the emptiest on the page among sets that make one. “Healthy Ceramic Coating: Features food-safe coating free of hazardous chemicals”. That sentence names no substance. Its 25-piece sibling names PFAS, PFOA, PFOS and PTFE; this one leaves you to assume the same coating, which the listing never says. If a non-toxic claim is why you are shopping ceramic, this listing gives you nothing to check, and you should ask CAROTE which substances it means.
It is silent on the hob, the oven and the sink. There is no mention of induction, no oven claim of any kind, and no dishwasher statement. The heat claim is “Even&rapid heat delivery without hot spots”, which is a promise about evenness, not compatibility. Nothing in the title or bullets says the handles detach, and no handles appear in the contents line, so read this as a fixed-handle set. If you cook on gas, induction does not matter; on induction, treat this set as unconfirmed.
What to weigh. It states a warranty: “Carote provides 12 months warranty from the date of purchase.” It ranks #432 overall and #4 in Cookware Sets, second on the page, and it is sold by CaroteDirect. Its model field reads A16482, while the part number field reads A09035_PARENT, a parent code rather than a model; neither matches the other two CAROTE sets. The listed weight is 16.53 pounds. It is a sound six-pan set with good lids. Its listing simply tells you less than its siblings do.
Pros
- Three frying pans: 8, 9.5 and 11 in
- All three pots have their own lid
- Silicone-edged glass lids
- 12-month warranty stated
- Second-best rank on the page
- 13 qt of pot capacity by our arithmetic
Cons
- Coating claim names no chemical
- Induction not stated
- No oven claim at all
- Dishwasher not stated
- 15 of 21 pieces are not pans
- Body metal not stated
Best for: A gas or electric cook who wants three frying pans and three lidded pots and is comfortable asking about the coating.
5. T-Fal Ultimate Hard Anodized Ceramic Nonstick Cookware Set, 12-Piece, Stone, E129SC64 — Longest Warranty

Six pans in twelve pieces and a lifetime warranty, but it rules out induction and makes no chemical claim.
Key Specifications
| Pieces | 12: 6 pans, 4 lids, 2 nylon tools |
|---|---|
| Pans | 8 in and 10.5 in frypans; 12 in covered frypan; 1 qt and 3 qt covered saucepans; 5.6 qt covered Dutch oven |
| Coating claim | Inoceram Glide ceramic nonstick; no PFAS, PTFE or PFOA claim |
| Body and base | Hard anodized exterior; even heat base; Thermo-Spot indicator |
| Induction | Excluded, stated |
| Oven-safe | 400°F; lids 350°F |
| Handles | Riveted silicone; not detachable |
| Dishwasher | Hand wash recommended |
| Warranty | Limited lifetime |
| Model | E129SC64 |
| Best Sellers Rank | #23,652 overall; #110 in Cookware Sets |
Why We Recommend It
Half of this box is pans. The listing reads “8 inch and 10.5 inch frypans, a 12 inch covered frypan, 1 quart and 3 quart covered saucepans, a 5.6 quart covered dutch oven and 2 nylon tools”. Six pans, four lids and two tools make twelve. Six of twelve is 50% pans, by our arithmetic, second only to the Nuwave. It is the only set on the page with a lid for its largest frying pan, and the 5.6-quart Dutch oven is the one vessel among the ten sold under that name.
It is the only listing that rules induction out in plain words. “Compatible with all stovetops, excluding induction”. That is a negative answer, but it is an answer, and it is more useful than the three listings that never mention induction. Hard anodizing is a treatment for aluminium, and an anodized aluminium base will not work on an induction hob without a steel plate, which this listing does not claim. If you cook on induction, cross this set off. If you cook on gas or electric, it is not a drawback at all.
It is also the only listing that gives the lids their own oven limit. “Oven safe to 400 °F (lids up to 350 °F)”. Every other listing that gives a figure gives one number, which leaves you to wonder whether the lid, the handle or the pan sets it. Here you know: the pans go to 400°F, the glass lids to 350°F. Cleaning gets the same candour: “hand wash is recommended”. And the warranty is the longest stated on the page: “limited lifetime warranty”.
The gap is the coating. The listing calls it “Inoceram Glide Technology, our best scratch resistant ceramic non-stick coating*”, and the asterisk is not explained anywhere in the listing. It makes no statement about PFAS, PTFE, PFOA, lead or cadmium. That does not mean any of them is present; it means the listing does not say. The T-Fal and the 19-piece CAROTE are the two sets here with no chemical claim at all, and for a buyer choosing ceramic for that reason, the silence matters.
What to weigh. The Thermo-Spot heat indicator “turns solid red when pans are perfectly preheated”, a genuine help with a coating that dislikes overheating. The handles are “riveted silicone handles”, so expect rivets inside the pans, unlike the rivet-free SENSARTE. It is sold by Amazon.com, lists 15.43 pounds and ranks #23,652 overall and #110 in Cookware Sets, ninth of ten here. It is the set for a gas or electric kitchen that wants every pan covered and a lifetime warranty, and will ask T-Fal about the coating.
Pros
- 6 of 12 pieces are pans
- Lid for the 12 in frying pan, the only one here
- Limited lifetime warranty, the longest stated
- Separate oven figures for pans and lids
- Thermo-Spot preheat indicator
- Sold by Amazon.com
Cons
- Not for induction, stated
- No PFAS, PTFE or PFOA claim
- Hand wash recommended
- 400°F oven, lids only 350°F
- Riveted handles
- Ninth-best rank of the ten
Best for: A gas or electric cook who wants every pan lidded and the longest stated warranty, and does not need a chemical claim in writing.

| Coating claim | Mineral-reinforced granite, also called ceramic; PFOA-, PTFE- and PFOS-free |
| Body and base | Die-cast aluminium; 3.5mm body; induction-ready base |
| Induction | Yes, stated |
| Oven-safe | 500°F with handle removed (bullet); 480°F / 249°C maximum, 428°F / 220°C advised (care note) |
| Handles | Detachable; handle not oven-safe; number not stated |
| Dishwasher | In the title only |
| Warranty | Not stated |
| Model | TCGJTZ003 |
| Best Sellers Rank | #736 overall; #6 in Cookware Sets |
Why We Recommend It
Five pans, and the lowest share of pans on the page. The contents bullet lists “8” & 10” frying pans, 10” saute pan, 7” & 8” saucepans”, then glass lids, storage lids, “5 pcs silicone kitchen utensils, a silicone mat, and pot protectors”; another bullet says it includes 4 pot protectors. Five pans, five utensils, a mat and four protectors make fifteen. The other six of the 21 are lids and the detachable handle, but the listing never says how many of each. Five of 21 is 24% pans, by our arithmetic, the lowest share among the eight itemised sets.
It calls one surface two things. The first bullet describes “an advanced mineral-reinforced granite coating that is 100% PFOA-free, PTFE-free, and PFOS-free”. The sixth says “Our ceramic nonstick cookware features a double-layer coating”, and the title says ceramic. Granite here describes a coating, not stone, and neither word tells you the chemistry. The chemical claim itself is fuller than most: three named substances, including PTFE. It does not use the word PFAS.
The heat limit depends on which bullet you read. The induction bullet says “Oven safe up to 500°F: simply remove the handle (not oven-safe) before transferring to oven.” The care note says “MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE 480°F / 249°C” and adds “FOR BEST DURABILITY AND NON-STICK PERFORMANCE, USE MEDIUM-LOW HEAT AND DO NOT EXCEED 428°F / 220°C”. Plan for the lower figures: 480°F as a ceiling, 428°F if you want the coating to last. The same note says “DO NOT HEAT AN EMPTY PAN”, good advice for any ceramic coating on this page.
It states the thickest body on the page. “3.5MM THICK BODY FOR EVEN HEAT DISTRIBUTION”, in die-cast aluminium with an induction-ready base. The Ninja states a 3.3mm base; no other listing gives a thickness. Induction, gas, electric and ceramic hobs are all named. Two things are thinner: dishwasher use appears only in the title, “Dishwasher RV Cookware Set”, while the bullets talk about a quick wipe, and there is no warranty statement. The pan sizes are in inches only, so the saucepans have no stated capacity.
What to weigh. It ranks #736 overall and #6 in Cookware Sets, fourth on the page, and it was the lowest-priced set at capture. It is sold by umiten us. The handle uses “a dual-layer safety lock” and the pans nest, which the listing says saves “up to 90% storage space”, the largest such claim here. Count on five pans and a stack of extras, keep the heat at medium, and read the care note rather than the headline 500°F.
Pros
- 3.5mm body, the thickest stated here
- PTFE, PFOA and PFOS named
- Induction stated with a named base
- Detachable handle; pans nest
- Care note gives frank temperature advice
- Fourth-best rank on the page
Cons
- 5 of 21 pieces are pans, the lowest share itemised
- 500°F and 480°F ceilings conflict
- Lid and handle counts not stated
- Dishwasher appears in the title only
- No warranty stated
- Saucepan capacities not given
Best for: A compact-kitchen cook who wants a detachable set with a stated body thickness and will keep the heat at medium.
7. CAROTE 19-Piece Ceramic Cookware Set with Detachable Handles, A12518-1 — Best for Storage

Five pans in nineteen pieces, two of the lids are for the fridge, and the listing warns the lids do not fit with the handle on.
Key Specifications
| Pieces | 19: 5 pans, 2 handles, 2 glass lids, 2 fridge storage lids, 4 utensils, 4 pot protectors |
|---|---|
| Pans | 1.5 qt and 3 qt saucepans; 8 in and 10 in frying pans; 4 qt sauté pan |
| Coating claim | None; “non stick” in bullets, ceramic in title only |
| Body and base | Not stated |
| Induction | Not named; “ALL kinds of stoves” |
| Oven-safe | Oven named; no temperature |
| Handles | 2 detachable |
| Dishwasher | Not stated |
| Warranty | 12 months from purchase |
| Lid note | Lid does not fit when the detachable handle is attached |
| Model | A12518-1 (part number A12518-2) |
| Best Sellers Rank | #654 overall; #5 in Cookware Sets |
Why We Recommend It
Five pans in 19 pieces. The contents line reads “1.5-qt saucepan, 3-qt saucepan, 8’’ frying pan, 10’’ frying pan, 4-qt sauté pan, 2*detachable handle, 6.5” fridge storage lid, 8” fridge storage lid, 8”Glass Lid, 10”Glass Lid, 4pcs utensils set, 4*pot protector.” Five pans, two handles, four lids, four utensils and four protectors make 19. Five of 19 is 26% pans, by our arithmetic. The pots total 8.5 quarts, also our arithmetic, the least of any set that gives capacities.
One line in the listing is a warning, and you should read it. “The lid does not fit when the detachable handle is attached”. The listing does not explain further. On the face of it, a lidded simmer means either taking the handle off or leaving the lid aside, and lifting a covered pan by its handle is not something the listing promises. No other detachable set here says this, though none of them says the opposite either. If you cook a lot with the lid on, ask CAROTE which lids fit which pans with the handle in place.
It makes no claim about what the coating is free of. Ceramic appears in the title. The bullets speak only of “the non stick ability” and “nonstick performance as the same as other Carote cookware sets”. There is no PFAS, PTFE or PFOA statement and no “free of” line at all. That is a reference to the other CAROTE sets, but the 21-piece names nothing either and only the 25-piece names chemicals, and this set carries its own model number, so you cannot borrow the 25-piece’s claim for it.
It names more places to cook than most, with fewer specifics. “Removable handle for the ultimate versatility– go from ALL kinds of stoves to the oven, to the grill, to the fridge, and onto the table in a click.” It does not use the word induction, and it gives no oven or grill temperature. The fridge part is real: two storage lids, 6.5 and 8 inches, turn the saucepans into containers, and the listing pitches the set “As both a cookware set and a dinnerware set”.
What to weigh. It ranks #654 overall and #5 in Cookware Sets, third on the page, sold by CaroteDirect, with the same 12-month warranty statement as the 21-piece. Its model field reads A12518-1 and its part number A12518-2, a mismatch within the listing; both differ from the other two CAROTE sets. No weight is listed. The handles off, the listing says it saves “up to 70% more space”. Buy it for storage and leftovers, and check the lid question before you count on covered cooking.
Pros
- Two fridge storage lids for leftovers
- Two detachable handles; pans nest
- 12-month warranty stated
- Oven, grill and fridge use named
- Third-best rank on the page
- Small 1.5 qt saucepan included
Cons
- Lids do not fit with the handle attached, stated
- No chemical claim of any kind
- Induction not named
- No oven or grill temperature
- Least pot capacity of the sets that give it
- Model and part numbers differ
Best for: A cook short on cupboard and fridge space who wants pans that double as storage and will check how the lids work.
8. SENSARTE Nonstick Ceramic Cookware Set, 13-Piece, SA07 — Highest Oven Figure

The fewest pans on the page, four, but the highest oven figure and one of the plainest chemical claims.
Key Specifications
| Pieces | 13: 4 pans, 3 lids, 2 silicone utensils, 4 pot protectors |
|---|---|
| Pans | 9.5 in frying pan; 11 in / 4.3 qt sauté pan; 2.6 qt saucepan; 4.7 qt casserole |
| Coating claim | Natural ceramic; free of intentionally added PFOA, PTFE, PFAS, lead and cadmium |
| Body and base | Cast aluminium body; stainless steel base; rivet-free interior |
| Induction | Yes, stated |
| Oven-safe | 550°F, stated |
| Handles | Woodgrain bakelite, stay-cool; not detachable |
| Dishwasher | Not stated |
| Warranty | Not stated |
| Model | SA07 |
| Best Sellers Rank | #2,089 overall; #13 in Cookware Sets |
Why We Recommend It
Four pans, and they are the right four for a small household. The listing reads “a 9.5” frying pan, 11” / 4.3 qt sauté pan with lid, 2.6 qt saucepan with lid, 4.7 qt casserole pot with lid, 2 silicone utensils, and 4 reusable pot protectors”. Four pans, three lids, two utensils and four protectors make 13. Four of 13 is 31% pans, by our arithmetic, and four is the fewest pans on the page. The three pots total 11.6 quarts, and every pot has its own lid; only the frying pan goes without.
It gives the highest oven figure here. “Oven safe up to 550°F.” That is 150°F more than the Ninja and the T-Fal and 50°F more than the Umite Chef’s headline figure. The handles are “woodgrain bakelite”, and the listing does not say whether the 550°F applies with them or to the pan body alone; the glass lids get no separate figure either. Before a hot oven finish, ask SENSARTE whether the handles and lids share the oven limit.
The chemical claim is broad and carefully worded. “Made of natural ceramic, free of intentionally added PFOA, PTFE, PFAS, lead, and cadmium, ensuring safety and health. This cookware set does not produce toxic fumes even when overheated.” It names PFAS, PTFE and PFOA, three of the terms buyers look for. The qualifier “intentionally added” means the maker did not put them in; it is a statement about the recipe, not a test result. The Farberware uses the same kind of qualifier, and the Nuwave is the only listing to cite testing.
The base is the best described for induction after the Farberware. “The durable stainless steel base works on all stovetops, including induction, while the cast aluminum body heats quickly and evenly without warping.” A steel plate under an aluminium body is the usual way to make aluminium work on induction, and here the listing says so. The interior is “rivet-free”, so nothing interrupts the coating where handles join, unlike the riveted T-Fal. The packaging is “fully recyclable cardboard materials and no Styrofoam or plastic”.
What to weigh. It says nothing about the dishwasher, beyond “simply wipe clean or rinse with water”, and states no warranty. No weight is listed. It is sold by sensarte and ranks #2,089 overall and #13 in Cookware Sets, fifth on the page. If you cook for one or two and finish dishes in a hot oven, this is the set whose listing supports that best; if you need more than four pans, look elsewhere.
Pros
- 550°F, the highest stated oven figure
- PFAS, PTFE and PFOA named
- Stainless steel base on cast aluminium, stated
- Rivet-free interior
- Every pot has its own lid
- Stay-cool bakelite handles
Cons
- 4 pans, the fewest here
- Dishwasher not stated
- No warranty stated
- Handle and lid oven limits not separated
- “Intentionally added” qualifier, no testing cited
- Handles do not detach
Best for: A one- or two-person household that finishes dishes in a hot oven and wants PFAS named in writing.
9. Farberware Forged Induction Ceramic Nonstick Cookware Set, 12-Piece, Black, 13861 — Best Induction Base

Twelve pieces, and the listing never says what they are.
Key Specifications
| Pieces | 12; not itemised |
|---|---|
| Pans | 10 in frying pan, stockpot and sauté pan named in passing; others not stated |
| Coating claim | Made without PFAS, PFOA, lead or cadmium, not intentionally added; PTFE not named |
| Body and base | Forged aluminium bodies, bases and rims; edge-to-edge steel bases |
| Induction | Yes, stated |
| Oven-safe | Not stated |
| Handles | Not described |
| Dishwasher | Not stated |
| Warranty | Not stated |
| Lids | Tempered glass; stockpot and sauté pan lids also fit the 10 in frying pan |
| Model | 13861 |
| Best Sellers Rank | #35,825 overall; #173 in Cookware Sets |
Why We Recommend It
This is one of two listings that will not tell you what is in the box. The title says 12 pieces and the size field says “Cookware Set (12-Piece)”. No bullet lists the contents. The only clue sits in the lid bullet: “The stockpot and saute pan lids also fit the 10-inch frying pan.” So the set includes at least a stockpot, a sauté pan, a 10-inch frying pan and two lids. What the other seven pieces are, and their sizes and capacities, the listing does not say. Ask before you buy, or check the box image carefully.
The lid-sharing line is a genuine point in its favour. Two lids that fit three pans is the opposite of the 25-piece CAROTE’s problem, where the wide frying pans have no lid at all. It means one fewer lid to store for the same coverage. The lids are “tempered-glass” and “lock in heat and moisture”, says the listing.
It describes its induction base better than anyone. “This induction cookware set features edge-to-edge steel bases designed for durability and compatibility with all stovetops, including induction.” Edge to edge means the steel covers the whole base, so an induction coil has steel above it right to the rim of the base. The bodies are “forged-aluminum”, with forged aluminium “at the bases and rims to enhance durability and prevent warping”. If induction is your main hob, this listing gives the clearest picture of how its pans meet it.
The coating claim comes with an honest footnote. “Made without PFAS, PFOA, lead, or cadmium*”, then “*Product design does not intentionally add these substances to the nonstick coating”. It is one of four listings to name PFAS. PTFE is not named separately, though under the broad definitions most regulators now use, PTFE is itself a PFAS. As with the SENSARTE, the qualifier makes this a statement about what was put in, not a test of what is there.
What to weigh. There is no oven claim, no dishwasher statement, no warranty and no description of the handles. The listed weight is 12.9 pounds. It is sold by Amazon.com and ranks #35,825 overall and #173 in Cookware Sets, the lowest on the page. The model number, 13861, is a Farberware number with no match among the other nine. A well-built induction base and a sensible lid plan, inside a listing that leaves you to discover most of the set on delivery.
Pros
- Edge-to-edge steel bases for induction, stated
- Forged aluminium bases and rims
- PFAS named, with an honest footnote
- Two lids fit three pans
- Tempered glass lids
- Sold by Amazon.com
Cons
- Contents not itemised
- PTFE not named separately
- No oven claim
- Dishwasher not stated
- No warranty stated
- Lowest rank on the page
Best for: An induction cook who values a fully described steel base and will confirm the full contents with the seller.
10. Astercook 21-Piece Ceramic Cookware Set with Detachable Handle, Cream, A60.CS21201A-C — Top Seller

The best-ranked set on the page does not say what its 21 pieces are.
Key Specifications
| Pieces | 21; not itemised |
|---|---|
| Pans | Not stated |
| Coating claim | “Premium nonstick coating”; free from PFOA; ceramic in title only |
| Body and base | Aluminium, stated |
| Induction | Yes, stated |
| Oven-safe | In the title; no temperature |
| Handles | Detachable with locking mechanism; number not stated |
| Dishwasher | Not stated |
| Warranty | Not stated; “attentive after-sales service” |
| Listed weight | 11.07 pounds |
| Model | A60.CS21201A-C |
| Best Sellers Rank | #429 overall; #3 in Cookware Sets |
Why We Recommend It
Shoppers are buying this set more than any other here, and the listing does not say what is in it. It ranks #429 overall and #3 in Cookware Sets, the best on the page. Its title says “21 Pcs Pots and Pans Set” and its spec table says 21 items. No bullet lists the contents. There is no count of pans, lids, handles, utensils or protectors, and no size for anything. On the evidence of the two itemised 21-piece sets here, five or six of the 21 might be pans, but that is a guess from other listings, not a fact about this one.
“Ceramic” is in the title and nowhere else. The coating bullet says “Equipped with a premium nonstick coating” and calls it “free from harmful chemicals like PFOA”. That is the narrowest named chemical claim on the page: one substance, with “like” implying others it does not name. It says nothing about PTFE or PFAS. If the title’s ceramic is the reason you are looking, the bullets give you no detail to confirm it.
The practical claims are short but present. Induction is named: “suitable for a wide range of heat sources, including induction, gas and ceramic hobs”. The body is “high-quality aluminum”. The handle is “a cutting-edge removable handle with a secure locking mechanism”, and the pans stack. The title says “Oven Safe” but no bullet gives a temperature, and the listing does not say whether the handle can go in. There is no dishwasher statement and no warranty, only a promise of “attentive after-sales service”.
One field cannot be right. The spec table lists a weight of 11.07 pounds, which is plausible for a boxed set. Its dimension fields give about 3.5 by 3.9 by 4.3 inches, which cannot describe 21 pieces of cookware, boxed or stacked, so we do not use them. The colour is “Cream White”, and the title pitches the set for RV kitchens and as a gift.
What to weigh. It is sold by Astercook, carries model A60.CS21201A-C, and sits at the lowest-priced end of the page with the Umite Chef and the 19-piece CAROTE. The rank shows it sells; the listing gives you less to judge it by than any set here except the Farberware. Before you order, ask for the contents list and the oven temperature, and decide whether a PFOA-only claim is enough for a set you are buying as ceramic.
Pros
- Best Best Sellers Rank on the page
- Induction stated
- Aluminium body stated
- Detachable handle with a locking mechanism
- Pans stack for storage
- Listed weight is plausible
Cons
- Contents not itemised
- Only PFOA named; ceramic in title only
- No oven temperature
- Dishwasher not stated
- No warranty stated
- Dimension fields not credible
Best for: A buyer who wants the best-selling detachable set and is willing to ask the seller what the 21 pieces are first.
Pieces Against Pans
The table below sorts every itemised piece in every box. A pan is anything you cook in. The last column is our arithmetic: pans as a share of the piece count on the box.
| Set | Pieces claimed | Pans | Lids | Utensils | Protectors | Other | Pans share (ours) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nuwave Duralon Blue | 12 | 7 | 5 | 0 | 0 | None | 58% |
| T-Fal Ultimate | 12 | 6 | 4 | 2 | 0 | None | 50% |
| Ninja CW49011 | 11 | 5 | 3 | 3 | 0 | None | 45% |
| CAROTE 25-Piece | 25 | 8 | 3 | 5 | 7 | 2 handles | 32% |
| SENSARTE 13-Piece | 13 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 4 | None | 31% |
| CAROTE 21-Piece | 21 | 6 | 3 | 5 | 6 | 1 container | 29% |
| CAROTE 19-Piece | 19 | 5 | 4 (2 for the fridge) | 4 | 4 | 2 handles | 26% |
| Umite Chef 21-Piece | 21 | 5 | Not counted | 5 | 4 | 1 mat; 6 lids and handles uncounted | 24% |
| Farberware Forged | 12 | Not itemised | Not itemised | — | — | — | — |
| Astercook 21-Piece | 21 | Not itemised | Not itemised | — | — | — | — |
Add the eight itemised sets together and the pattern is plain. 134 pieces, 46 pans. Pan protectors account for 25 pieces and utensils for 26, so the two together, 51 pieces, outnumber the pans. Lids, handles, a container and a mat make up the remaining 37. All of that is our arithmetic from the listings’ own contents lines.
The share of pans falls as the box gets bigger. The three smallest itemised boxes, 11 and 12 pieces, run from 45% to 58% pans. The four boxes of 19 to 25 pieces run from 24% to 32%. The piece count grows mainly by adding protectors and spoons, which cost little to include and are counted the same as a stockpot.
Protectors are worth having, but they are not cookware. Pan protectors are felt or silicone discs that sit between nested pans so the coating does not scratch. On a ceramic set that will be stacked, especially one with detachable handles built for nesting, they are useful. Five sets include them, from four to seven each. But a set with seven protectors and eight pans is an eight-pan set, and the box should be judged as one.
Lids are where the counting gets subtle. A lid is part of a pan in use, but it is counted as a separate piece, which is why lids pad the counts of general cookware sets too. The T-Fal lids four of six pans, including its 12-inch frying pan. The Nuwave lids five of seven. The 25-piece CAROTE lids two pans directly and covers the small ones with one stepped universal lid, leaving its 10- and 12-inch frying pans uncovered. The Farberware goes the other way, with two lids that each fit two pans. The 19-piece CAROTE includes two lids that are for the fridge rather than the hob.

What “Ceramic” Covers, and What Each Coating Claim Names
Every set here is a metal pan with a coating on the cooking surface. None is a ceramic pot. The word on the box describes the coating, and the coating claims are where the listings differ most. The table records exactly which substances each listing says it is free of; a blank means the listing does not name it, not that it is present.
| Set | Surface as described | PFAS | PTFE | PFOA | Qualifier or evidence |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nuwave | Gen10 Duralon Blue ceramic, 9H | Named | Named | Named | TÜV Rheinland, 106 PFAS tested, none detected; lead and cadmium too |
| CAROTE 25-Piece | Ceramic nonstick | Named | Named | Named | PFOS too; no qualifier |
| SENSARTE | Natural ceramic | Named | Named | Named | “Intentionally added”; lead and cadmium too |
| Farberware | Ceramic nonstick | Named | — | Named | Not intentionally added; lead and cadmium too |
| Ninja | Ceramic Lock, dual-bonded | — | Named | Named | Lead and cadmium too |
| Umite Chef | Mineral-reinforced granite; also ceramic | — | Named | Named | PFOS too |
| Astercook | “Premium nonstick”; ceramic in title | — | — | Named | “Like PFOA” |
| CAROTE 21-Piece | Ceramic | — | — | — | “Free of hazardous chemicals”, none named |
| CAROTE 19-Piece | “Non stick”; ceramic in title | — | — | — | No claim |
| T-Fal | Inoceram Glide ceramic | — | — | — | No claim; unexplained asterisk |
Four name PFAS, five name PTFE, eight name something. Three sets name PFAS, PTFE and PFOA together: the Nuwave, the 25-piece CAROTE and the SENSARTE. The Farberware names PFAS and PFOA but not PTFE; the Ninja and the Umite Chef name PTFE and PFOA but not PFAS. The Astercook names PFOA alone. The 21-piece CAROTE makes a claim that names nothing, and the 19-piece CAROTE and the T-Fal make no claim.
The words are not interchangeable. PFAS is a family of thousands of fluorinated chemicals. PTFE, the polymer in conventional nonstick coatings, and PFOA, a chemical once used in making it, both belong to that family. A claim that names PFAS covers the most ground; a claim that names PTFE tells you the coating is not a conventional nonstick; a claim that names only PFOA tells you very little, because PFOA-free is a low bar for any coating sold today. That is why the Astercook’s single named substance sits near the bottom of the table.
“Intentionally added” and “tested” are different promises. The SENSARTE and the Farberware both qualify their claims: the maker does not add these substances. That is a statement about the recipe. The Nuwave is the only listing that reports a test, by a named body, for a stated number of substances. Neither kind of claim is a guarantee of what any one pan contains, but a reported test is the stronger evidence. If a non-toxic coating is your reason for buying ceramic, the three sets that name all three of PFAS, PTFE and PFOA are the place to start, and the Nuwave is the one with a test behind it.
Hardness and durability claims are a separate matter. The Nuwave rates its coating at 9H. The Ninja says its coating preserves nonstick performance for years and backs that with a 5-year guarantee. The Umite Chef describes a “multi-layer surface” and the T-Fal calls Inoceram Glide its “best scratch resistant ceramic non-stick coating”. Only the Ninja puts a written commitment behind its durability claim, and only the Ninja says metal utensils are safe.
Induction, Oven, Handles, Dishwasher, Warranty: Who Answers
A ceramic set is bought for years of daily use, so the practical questions matter as much as the coating. The table records what each listing states. “Not stated” is information: it is a question you will have to ask the seller.
| Set | Induction | Oven | Detachable handles | Dishwasher | Warranty |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ninja | Yes | 400°F, broiler | No | Yes | 5-year nonstick guarantee |
| T-Fal | Excluded | 400°F; lids 350°F | No | Hand wash recommended | Limited lifetime |
| CAROTE 25-Piece | Yes | Named, no figure | Yes, 2 | Yes | Not stated |
| Umite Chef | Yes | 500°F handle off; 480°F max | Yes | Title only | Not stated |
| SENSARTE | Yes, steel base | 550°F | No | Not stated | Not stated |
| CAROTE 19-Piece | Not named | Named, no figure | Yes, 2 | Not stated | 12 months |
| CAROTE 21-Piece | Not stated | Not stated | No | Not stated | 12 months |
| Astercook | Yes | Title only, no figure | Yes | Not stated | Not stated |
| Farberware | Yes, steel base | Not stated | Not described | Not stated | Not stated |
| Nuwave | Not stated | Not stated | Not described | Not stated | Not stated |
Induction: six yes, one no, three silent. The Ninja, the 25-piece CAROTE, the Umite Chef, the SENSARTE, the Farberware and the Astercook name induction. Two of them describe how: the SENSARTE’s stainless steel base and the Farberware’s edge-to-edge steel bases. The T-Fal excludes induction outright. The Nuwave and the 21-piece CAROTE never mention it, and the 19-piece CAROTE says “ALL kinds of stoves” without the word. If you cook on gas, none of this matters, and our cookware for gas stoves guide covers what does.
Oven: four figures, from 400°F to 550°F. The SENSARTE states 550°F; the Umite Chef 500°F with its handle removed, or a 480°F maximum in its care note; the Ninja and the T-Fal 400°F, with the T-Fal’s lids at 350°F. Three more say the pans can go in the oven without a number: the 25-piece and 19-piece CAROTE sets and, in its title only, the Astercook. The Nuwave, the 21-piece CAROTE and the Farberware never mention the oven.
Detachable handles: four sets. The two detachable CAROTE sets, the Umite Chef and the Astercook. Detachable handles let pans nest and go into the oven without a handle in the way, and the Umite Chef states that its handle is not oven-safe. The 19-piece CAROTE adds a catch no other listing mentions: its lids do not fit when the handle is attached.
Dishwasher: two plain yeses. The Ninja says dishwasher safe, and the 25-piece CAROTE says the pans can be washed by hand or in the dishwasher. The Umite Chef puts “Dishwasher” in its title and nowhere else. The T-Fal recommends hand washing. Six say nothing. Most ceramic coatings last longer washed by hand whatever the box says, so treat a dishwasher yes as permission rather than a recommendation.
Warranty: four stated, of three kinds. The T-Fal states a limited lifetime warranty. The Ninja states a 5-year guarantee on nonstick performance, the only one aimed at the coating. The 21-piece and 19-piece CAROTE sets state 12 months from purchase. The 25-piece CAROTE, the Umite Chef, the SENSARTE, the Farberware, the Nuwave and the Astercook state nothing.
Only one set answers every column. The Ninja gives an answer in all five, plus a named coating claim. The T-Fal answers all five but makes no coating claim. Every other listing leaves at least two of the six questions blank.
Three CAROTE Sets, Three Model Numbers
Three of the ten are CAROTE sets. When one brand appears three times, it is worth checking whether the same set is being sold under three listings. The model fields say it is not, and the contents agree.
| Field | CAROTE 21-Piece | CAROTE 19-Piece | CAROTE 25-Piece |
|---|---|---|---|
| Model field | A16482 | A12518-1 | A12681 |
| Part number field | A09035_PARENT | A12518-2 | Not given |
| Seller | CaroteDirect | CaroteDirect | Carote Brands |
| Pans | 6 | 5 | 8 |
| Handles | Fixed, not described | 2 detachable | 2 detachable |
| Coating claim | None named | None | PFAS, PFOA, PFOS, PTFE |
| Induction | Not stated | Not named | Yes |
| Dishwasher | Not stated | Not stated | Yes |
| Warranty | 12 months | 12 months | Not stated |
| Colour | Green | Black/Gray | Oatmeal |
| Rank overall | #432 | #654 | #4,022 |
No same-model pair. The three model numbers differ, and no part number repeats. The 21-piece is a fixed-handle set with three frying pans; the 19-piece and 25-piece are detachable-handle sets of different sizes. The closest pair is the 19 and the 25, which share the detachable design and the “up to 70% more” storage claim, but the 25-piece adds a 12-inch frying pan, a 2-quart saucepan, a stockpot and a fuller coating claim.
The listings do not share their claims, so you should not either. The 25-piece is the only CAROTE that names PFAS, induction and the dishwasher. The 21-piece and 19-piece are the only ones that state a warranty. The 19-piece says its nonstick performs “as the same as other Carote cookware sets”, but that is a performance claim, not a coating specification. It is tempting to assume that all three share the 25-piece’s coating and the 21-piece’s warranty. The listings do not say so. Ask about the one you are buying.
One listing disagrees with itself. The 19-piece gives A12518-1 as its model and A12518-2 as its part number. That is likely a variant code rather than a different product, but the listing does not explain it. Quote both if you contact the seller.
Rank Follows the Piece Count, Not the Pan Count
The four best-ranked sets on the page are the four 19- and 21-piece boxes: the Astercook at #429 overall, the 21-piece CAROTE at #432, the 19-piece CAROTE at #654 and the Umite Chef at #736. Between them they hold five, six, five and an unstated number of pans. The set with the most pans, the 25-piece CAROTE, ranks #4,022. The set with the highest share of pans, the Nuwave, ranks #4,431. The only set that answers every practical question, the Ninja, ranks #6,076.
| Rank overall | Set | Pieces | Pans | Questions answered (of 6) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| #429 | Astercook | 21 | Not itemised | 3 |
| #432 | CAROTE 21-Piece | 21 | 6 | 1 |
| #654 | CAROTE 19-Piece | 19 | 5 | 2 |
| #736 | Umite Chef | 21 | 5 | 4 |
| #2,089 | SENSARTE | 13 | 4 | 4 |
| #4,022 | CAROTE 25-Piece | 25 | 8 | 4 |
| #4,431 | Nuwave | 12 | 7 | 1 |
| #6,076 | Ninja | 11 | 5 | 6 |
| #23,652 | T-Fal | 12 | 6 | 5 |
| #35,825 | Farberware | 12 | Not itemised | 2 |
How we scored the last column. One point each, our tally, for a named coating claim (at least one substance), a clear induction answer (yes or no), an oven temperature, a handle description, a dishwasher statement in the bullets, and a stated warranty. A title-only mention does not count. The Astercook scores three, for its PFOA claim, its induction statement and its detachable handle; the 21-piece CAROTE scores one, for its warranty, however well both sell.
The bigger number sells. On this page, the sets that sell best are the ones with the biggest piece counts and the most padding, and the sets that tell you most sit lower. That is not proof that buyers are misled; a 21-piece box with protectors and spoons may be exactly what a first kitchen needs. But it does mean the rank tells you what is popular, not what is in the box. Count the pans yourself.
Best Alternatives
| Alternative | Why Consider It | Better For | Main Trade-Off |

What the Step Up Buys
The padded boxes — Astercook, Umite Chef, 19-piece and 21-piece CAROTE. These are the four best-selling sets on the page, three of them among the lowest-priced, with 19 or 21 pieces and five or six pans where they say. They buy you protectors, spoons and, in three of the four, detachable handles that nest. What they mostly do not buy is documentation: none of the four answers more than four of the six questions, and two of them name no coating chemical at all.
The documented small sets — SENSARTE, Ninja. Stepping up to these buys fewer pieces and more answers. The SENSARTE adds a 550°F oven figure, a stainless steel induction base and PFAS named, in four pans. The Ninja adds the only full set of answers on the page: induction, 400°F and the broiler, dishwasher safe, metal-utensil safe and a 5-year guarantee on the coating, in five pans.
The big-coverage sets — 25-piece CAROTE, Nuwave. These buy the most cookware. The CAROTE adds eight pans, a 12-inch frying pan, PFAS named and the dishwasher allowed, with detachable handles. The Nuwave adds seven pans, 19.5 quarts of pots and the only tested coating claim on the page, with nothing in the box but pans and lids. Both leave practical questions open: the CAROTE has no warranty or oven figure, the Nuwave no induction, oven, dishwasher or warranty statement.
The established-brand sets — T-Fal, Farberware. These sit at the bottom of the rank and the upper end of the page. The T-Fal buys a lid on every frying pan that matters, a two-part oven limit and a limited lifetime warranty, without a chemical claim or induction. The Farberware buys the best-described induction base on the page and lids that fit twice, inside a listing that does not tell you its contents.
What more money does not buy. On this page, paying more does not reliably buy more pans, a fuller coating claim or more answers. The most pans, the fullest set of answers and the only tested coating claim come from three different sets. Pay for the answers you need.

What to Check Before You Buy
Count the Pans, Then the Rest
Find the contents line and sort every item into pans and everything else. A pan is something you cook in: frying pan, sauté pan, saucepan, stockpot, casserole, Dutch oven. On this page the pans run from 24% to 58% of the piece count. If a listing has no contents line, as with the Farberware and the Astercook, ask for one before you buy; a 21-piece box could hold anywhere from a handful of pans upward.
Read the Coating Claim Word by Word
Check which substances are named. PFAS is the broadest term, PTFE tells you it is not conventional nonstick, and PFOA alone is a low bar. “Free of hazardous chemicals” names nothing. “Not intentionally added” describes the recipe; a named test, like the Nuwave’s 106 PFAS, is stronger evidence. If the title says ceramic and the bullets say only nonstick, ask what the surface is.
Confirm Induction in Words
Aluminium pans need a steel base to work on induction. Look for the word induction, and ideally a description of the base, as the SENSARTE and Farberware give. Six listings here name induction, one excludes it, and three are silent. “All kinds of stoves” is not the same as induction compatible. A fridge magnet that sticks firmly to the base of a pan you already own is the quickest check in the shop.
Find the Lowest Oven Figure in the Listing
Where a listing gives more than one heat figure, plan for the lowest. The Umite Chef gives 500°F, 480°F and 428°F; the T-Fal gives 400°F for the pans and 350°F for the lids. Where a listing says oven-safe without a number, assume nothing above a moderate oven until the seller confirms, and ask whether the handles and lids share the oven limit.
Decide on Detachable Handles Before the Count Seduces You
Detachable handles let pans nest, save cupboard space and move from hob to oven to fridge. They also mean fewer handles than pans, a locking mechanism to trust, and, on the 19-piece CAROTE, lids that do not fit with the handle attached. If you cook with several pans at once, count the handles; two handles for eight pans means swapping mid-cook.
Treat Dishwasher Claims as Permission
Only the Ninja and the 25-piece CAROTE allow the dishwasher in their bullets, and the T-Fal recommends hand washing. Ceramic coatings generally last longer washed by hand with a soft sponge, whatever the box says. If dishwasher use matters to you, buy a set that states it in a bullet, not just the title, and still expect hand washing to extend its life.
Check the Warranty, and What It Covers
Four of ten listings state a warranty, and they cover different things. The T-Fal offers a limited lifetime warranty, the Ninja a 5-year guarantee on nonstick performance when used as directed, and two CAROTE sets 12 months from purchase. Ceramic nonstick wears with use, so a guarantee aimed at the coating, like the Ninja’s, is the one that matters most. Where none is stated, ask before you buy.

Common Mistakes
- Comparing piece counts. The 21-piece Umite Chef holds five pans; the 12-piece Nuwave holds seven.
- Counting protectors and spoons as value. Across eight itemised sets, protectors and utensils total 51 pieces against 46 pans.
- Reading “ceramic” in the title as a coating claim. Two sets here make no chemical claim at all, and one names nothing.
- Taking PFOA-free as non-toxic. The Astercook names only PFOA; four listings name PFAS, the broader family.
- Assuming all CAROTE sets share one spec. Three model numbers; only the 25-piece names PFAS, and it is the one without a stated warranty.
- Trusting the headline oven figure. The Umite Chef says 500°F in one bullet and a 480°F maximum in its care note.
- Assuming induction. Three listings never say, and the T-Fal rules it out in writing.
- Reading Best Sellers Rank as a contents list. The best-ranked set here, #429 overall, does not itemise its 21 pieces.
Who Should Buy Which
Buy the Ninja CW49011 if you want every answer in writing. Five pans, induction, 400°F and the broiler, dishwasher safe, metal-utensil safe and a 5-year guarantee on the nonstick, sold by Amazon.com. Accept that five pans skip the small sizes and that 400°F is the lowest oven figure here.
Buy the Nuwave Duralon Blue if you want the most cookware per piece and the best-documented coating. Seven pans, five lids, 19.5 quarts of pots by our arithmetic, and the only listing citing PFAS testing. Ask about induction, the oven and a warranty first, because the listing does not say.
Buy the CAROTE 25-Piece if you want the most pans in a detachable, nesting set. Eight pans including a 12-inch frying pan, PFAS named, induction and the dishwasher stated. Accept three lids for eight pans, no oven figure and no warranty statement.
Buy the CAROTE 21-Piece if you want three frying pans and three lidded pots on gas or electric. Six pans and a 12-month warranty at the second-best rank on the page. Ask CAROTE what its “free of hazardous chemicals” coating is free of.
Buy the T-Fal Ultimate if you cook on gas or electric and want the longest warranty. Six pans, a lid for the 12-inch frying pan, 400°F pans and 350°F lids, and a limited lifetime warranty. Do not buy it for induction, and accept that it makes no chemical claim.
Buy the Umite Chef 21-Piece if you want a detachable set with the thickest stated body. 3.5mm die-cast aluminium, induction, PTFE named. Plan around the 480°F care-note maximum, not the 500°F headline, and expect five pans among the extras.
Buy the CAROTE 19-Piece if storage and leftovers matter most. Two detachable handles and two fridge lids, with a 12-month warranty. Check how the lids work, because the listing says they do not fit with the handle attached.
Buy the SENSARTE 13-Piece if you cook for one or two and use a hot oven. 550°F, a stainless steel induction base, PFAS named and a rivet-free interior. Accept four pans and no dishwasher or warranty statement.
Buy the Farberware Forged if induction is your hob and you want the clearest base. Edge-to-edge steel bases and lids that fit two pans each. Confirm the full contents, because the listing does not give them.
Buy the Astercook 21-Piece if you want the best-selling detachable set and will ask questions first. Induction and an aluminium body are stated. The contents, the oven temperature and any coating claim beyond PFOA are not.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is ceramic cookware actually ceramic?
Not in the way the word suggests. Every set on this page is a metal pan, usually aluminium, with a ceramic-type coating on the cooking surface. The listings that describe the body say aluminium, cast aluminium, die-cast aluminium, forged aluminium or hard anodized; the three CAROTE sets and the Nuwave do not name the metal. The coating is a thin layer, which is why ceramic sets are light and heat quickly, and why the coating, not the pan, is what wears. Some listings use other words for the same kind of surface: the Umite Chef calls its coating mineral-reinforced granite and ceramic in different bullets. Solid ceramic and stoneware cookware exists, but none of these ten is that. When you compare ceramic sets, you are really comparing coatings, the metal underneath and what each listing is willing to state about both.
Which ceramic cookware is non-toxic?
No listing can promise that, but some say far more than others. Three name PFAS, PTFE and PFOA together: the Nuwave, the 25-piece CAROTE and the SENSARTE. The Farberware names PFAS and PFOA, and the Ninja and Umite Chef name PTFE and PFOA. The Nuwave is the only listing that cites testing, by TÜV Rheinland, for 106 PFAS substances, with none detected. The SENSARTE and Farberware say the substances are not intentionally added, which describes the recipe rather than a test. The Astercook names only PFOA, the 21-piece CAROTE says free of hazardous chemicals without naming any, and the 19-piece CAROTE and T-Fal make no chemical claim. If a non-toxic coating is your priority, start with the sets that name PFAS, and prefer a reported test. A stainless steel set avoids the coating question altogether.
How many pieces does a ceramic cookware set really need?
Count pans, not pieces. Most households cook with a small frying pan, a large frying pan or sauté pan, a small and a medium saucepan, and a stockpot, which is five or six pans with lids for the pots. On this page, the 21-piece CAROTE and the 12-piece T-Fal each hold six pans, the 11-piece Ninja and 21-piece Umite Chef five, and the 12-piece Nuwave seven. The 25-piece CAROTE holds the most at eight. The rest of each box is lids, handles, utensils and pan protectors. Across the eight itemised sets, protectors and utensils make up 51 pieces against 46 pans. Protectors are useful if you stack pans, but a set with more pieces is not a set with more cookware, and two of the ten do not list their contents at all.
Can ceramic cookware go in the oven?
Most can, but the limit varies widely and several listings do not give one. The SENSARTE states 550 degrees Fahrenheit. The Umite Chef states 500 degrees with its handle removed in one bullet, and a 480 degree maximum in its care note, advising no more than 428 degrees for coating life. The Ninja and T-Fal state 400 degrees, with the T-Fal lids limited to 350. The 25-piece and 19-piece CAROTE sets and the Astercook say oven-safe without a number, and the Nuwave, 21-piece CAROTE and Farberware do not mention the oven. Where two figures appear, plan for the lower. Ask whether the handles and glass lids share the oven limit, and remember that detachable handles, like the Umite Chef’s, are often not oven-safe themselves.
Does ceramic cookware work on induction?
Only if the pan has a magnetic base, and ceramic sets are usually aluminium, which is not magnetic on its own. Six listings here name induction: the Ninja, the 25-piece CAROTE, the Umite Chef, the SENSARTE, the Farberware and the Astercook. The SENSARTE and Farberware describe how, with a stainless steel base and edge-to-edge steel bases respectively. The T-Fal states plainly that it is not for induction. The Nuwave and the 21-piece CAROTE do not mention induction, and the 19-piece CAROTE says all kinds of stoves without using the word. If you cook on induction, buy a set that names it in a bullet, and ideally one that describes its base. A magnet test on any pan you are unsure about is quick and reliable.
Can I put ceramic cookware in the dishwasher?
Only two listings here say so plainly. The Ninja says dishwasher safe, and the 25-piece CAROTE says the pans can be washed by hand or in the dishwasher. The Umite Chef puts the word dishwasher in its title but its bullets describe wiping clean. The T-Fal recommends hand washing. The other six listings say nothing either way. Even where the dishwasher is allowed, ceramic coatings generally keep their release longer when washed by hand with warm water and a soft sponge, because dishwasher detergents are abrasive and alkaline. Treat a dishwasher yes as permission for busy days rather than the recommended routine. If a set gives no statement, assume hand washing until the seller says otherwise, and keep the coating away from scouring pads.
How long does ceramic nonstick last?
Ceramic coatings are known to lose their release faster than conventional PTFE nonstick, and one listing here says so about rival products: the Ninja describes traditional ceramic cookware that wears out quickly. Only the Ninja backs a durability claim with a written commitment, a 5-year guarantee on nonstick performance when used as directed. The T-Fal states a limited lifetime warranty, and two CAROTE sets state 12 months from purchase; six listings state no warranty. What shortens coating life is consistent across the care notes that exist: high heat, heating an empty pan, metal tools on most coatings, and abrasive cleaning. The Umite Chef advises medium-low heat and no more than 428 degrees. Keeping the heat moderate is the single biggest thing you can do to make a ceramic set last.
Are detachable handle ceramic sets worth it?
They are if storage is tight or you like moving food from hob to oven to fridge in one pan. Four sets here have detachable handles: the 25-piece and 19-piece CAROTE, the Umite Chef and the Astercook. Their pans nest, and the listings claim savings of up to 70 or 90 percent of storage space. The trade-offs are real. There are fewer handles than pans, two for eight in the 25-piece CAROTE, so you swap mid-cook. The Umite Chef handle is not oven-safe, so it comes off before the oven. And the 19-piece CAROTE says its lids do not fit when the handle is attached. If you cook with three or four pans at once, or like to cover and lift a pan, a fixed-handle set like the Ninja or SENSARTE may suit you better.
Final Verdict
Five pans and the only full set of answers: induction, 400°F, dishwasher safe and a 5-year nonstick guarantee.
Seven pans and five lids, nothing else, with the only tested coating claim: 106 PFAS checked, none detected.
Eight pans, the most here, with PFAS named, induction stated and the dishwasher allowed.
Ceramic cookware is sold by the piece and used by the pan, and on this page the two numbers barely line up. Across eight itemised sets, 46 of 134 pieces are pans, by our arithmetic. The 21-piece boxes hold five or six; the 12-piece Nuwave holds seven. Protectors and spoons together outnumber the pans, and the best-ranked set of all does not say what its 21 pieces are.
The coating claims need the same counting. Ceramic is a coating on every set here. Four listings name PFAS, five name PTFE, one names only PFOA, one names nothing and two make no claim. One, the Nuwave, reports a test. If a non-toxic coating is why you are buying ceramic, read the substances, not the word on the box.
Then ask the practical questions, because most listings skip some. Induction, the oven limit, the handles, the dishwasher and the warranty: only the Ninja answers all of them, and the T-Fal all but the coating. The three CAROTE sets carry three different model numbers and do not share their claims, so judge each on its own listing.
If you buy one set from this page, make it the Ninja CW49011: five pans, induction, 400°F and the broiler, dishwasher safe, metal-utensil safe and a 5-year guarantee on the coating, all stated, sold by Amazon.com. If you want more cookware per piece and the best-documented coating, the Nuwave holds seven pans and five lids; if you want the most pans in a nesting set, the 25-piece CAROTE holds eight.
